@ivybuyuccan Oo kahit less than 7 pag conversion pero you have to check with the school where you want to study. Pag registration you need 7 but now you have a lot of choices like OET and PTE. :)

@tiners You don't have to get an AHPRA assessment for conversion course diretso ka na sa mismong school like Deakin. Kakailanganin mo ang experience pag magreregister ka na sa AHPRA as an RN dito after your course.

@tiners I'm not too sure kung considered ang placement.. Sabi sa website nila, pag hindi nameet yung "recency of practice" requirement, you need to call AHPRA in your state and get an advice kung paano mo mamemeet yung criteria na yun. Most likely kakailanganin mo ng another visa for that kasi kailangan din iconsider yung time na kakailanganin mo for the registration and at the same time for skills assessment para naman sa ANMAC which is for migration naman kung gusto mong andito sa Au while processing your papers. :) No worries.

Sa conversion program po ba ang minimum na IELTS score is dapat 6.5 po? Kasi yung friend ko nag PTE sya nakuha nya sa speaking is 47 equivalent nya is mga 5.5 sa IELTS.

@ivybuyuccan No prior assessment by AHPRA is needed pag magkoconversion course. You just need to submit your docus required by the Uni. Kailangan lang ng AHPRA Assessment pag magbibridging course. Yung years of study depende sa school of your choice kung ano ang inooffer nila. After the conversion course, that's the time na need magsubmit ng docus to ahpra for registration. :)

@tiners I'm sorry but it's my first time to hear that course. Most of the people that i know either take the bridging or the conversion course for registration here in AU. It's best to call AHPRA so that you wont be wasting your time, money and effort. :)

@ivybuyuccan It's the same thing, nagkakaiba lang sa duration. Usually kasi pag overseas nurse ka may nakicredit kaya nashosorten siya into either 1 year or 2 depende sa Uni.

@Gpaps As long as Registered Nurse ka sa atin pwede kang magconversion pero eventually kakailanganin mo ang RN experience before you can register sa AHPRA and for the ANMAC skills assessment. Yung overseas RN work mo ba is recently lang?

@Cassey hello po good day sa inyo. I am a fresh grad and passed PNLE last Nov 2016. Currently wala pa akong hosp exp kasi magstart palang ako sa job ko this may 2017. I have plans to go to Melb to take a bridging course to get nursing registration sa AU either this year or next year kasi yung recency of practice and skills assessment ng ANMAC eh exempted ang graduates from a nursing program if nagapply ka within two years after mo gumraduate. If lumampas ng 2 years saka ka nagapply ng registration eh magrerequire na ng recency of practice ang ANMAC. So plan ko is to go to Melb habang exempted pa ako kaso last April 19, 2017 nag announce ng major changes sa immigration policies and scrapping of subclass 457 visa then increased to 3 years work exp na ang hinihingi to get state sponsorship visa which can lead to PR. Now i am confused kung ano ba ang better way for me, is it to take a bridging course or conversion course or take Bachelors of Nursing na 2-3 years. And i wanna ask sana if ilang years of exp yung mairreccomend ninto before i go to australia? Curious rin po ako kung gano kayo katagal nagwork overseas before you are eligible to get registered and work in australia. Thank you so much!

@supercarlo360 Hi, where did you read about the exemption for the recency of practice?
Ang nakalagay kasi sa Guidelines ng ANMAC about recency of practice is this:
The applicant must hold a current nursing and/or midwifery registration or
licence to practise either in their country of residence and/or their country of initial education and must have practised within the 5 years preceding their application.
With your question in choosing between bridging course, conversion course and the full course, it would all depend on your personal circumstances - your needed points for migration (60points), your English test result, your work experience, finances, etc.
You can only do bridging course if you have a work experience of at least 450 hrs within the last 5yrs of your application. The bridging course can take up to 3mos. If you can't find a work sponsorship after your course, then you will have to go home but you can still apply for PR.
With conversion, no work experience is required and it can take up to a yr or 2.
With the full BSN, it's pricy and it takes too long plus it's a big risk on your part because rules can change anytime.
With the sponsorship visa, employers here in Au look for employees who at least have 3yrs overseas experience in their field. It's quite hard now because they are changing how the sponsorship work. Even if you don't have a work sponsorship, you can still apply for PR Visa provided of course, that you meet the requirements of the said visa.
With the work experience you asked, it all depends... but it would be better of course to have a work experience before coming here. :) My hubby had a good 3yrs hospital experience kaya di siya nahirapang maghanap ng work.

Hi! I got my acceptance letter from Deakin for July 2017 intake - 1 year BSN program. I have no ielts. they assesed my english qualification through written exam conducted by AMS and they did phone interview for my speaking test. Do I have to pay the tuition right away? what will happen if my visa was rejected? will they refund the full tuition fee as well as the health insurance? thanks!

@yukio0525 hi! I just want to clarify if what you've got is the offer letter from Deakin? Anyway, for ur question, if you want to take the course for July intake, you can accept the offer by paying the fees required i.e. Tuition and OSHC, then they will give u ur CoE which u will be using to apply for the student visa. And regarding ur question sa visa refusal, from what I've checked in the document checklist tool of DIBP, Hindi ka magkaka problem sa visa processing basta complete ang documents mo and fortunately, u chose a uni that is ranked as one of the best unis worldwide which gives u a high chance for a visa grant.pero if ever ma refuse talaga, it is up to you to defer the offer and reapply for a visa again or talagang withdraw. U can check with Deakin's refund policy if they will give back 100% of the fees uv paid but I think nasa 90% Lang yata.
