May question po ako...

Ito ang problema ko... wala po akong driver's license. I'm coming from SG then big move sa SA or Melby by May 2016.

My plan is to get a license here sa SG then hopefully by April 2016 before ako magmove sa OZ may DL na ako. Automatic convert na ba yun or I need to take some course pa sa OZ kasi less than a year lang ang license ko?

Please help mga mates.

@KillerQT, auto convert yun SG license. Pwede ka din kumuha ng driving lessons sa AU pagdating mo.

Nakalagay na "If you have held a driver's licence within the last five years in one of these countries (Singapore is included), you are not required to take driving tests in South Australia."

Is it better na sa OZ na ako kumuha ng license? Would you know gano katagal or gano kahirap makakuha ng driver's license sa OZ? Thanks!

Clarify ko lang ha.. Kung may recently issued ako na ph dl, pwede ako magpaconvert to sg dl agad..? Or do they check? I just need to pass the exam? Mag 5 years na kasi ako sa sg.. Yung ph dl ko is less than 6 months lang..

HIndi na kailangan ng cert from LTO to convert to SG license unless na magdrive ka talaga ng kotse sa SG. Pag walang cert, ang nilalagay na date of license issuance is on the exact date of SG license approval. Ang purpose kasi ng cert from LTO is para makakuha ka ng discount sa insurance and also kung anong license class and ibibigay sayo when you have a car and or driving in SG. Based sa grant date of license yung insurance cost. Pag 5 years or more, 50% discount kasi. Hope this helps..

@dantz15 musta sir? just arrived here at Sydney... magconvert na ako ng license. Tanung ko lang kung un i-declare ko sa unang box ay Singapore DL tapos yun PH DL dun sa other license. Salamat!

Maybe. Maybe not. Hindi yata clear cut pano mag-determine nito, in some cases.

Sa case ko, naging SG PR ako nung 2009 but I've been working in SG for several years na before that. So when I applied for SG DL, nagpresenta ako ng LTO Certificate that shows kelan first ni-issue yung PH License ko. Tinanggap naman ni LTA but they used the year I became a SG PR as basis.

Hmmm.. not sure what you mean by resibo but in my case kasi, I decided not to take chances (to avoid delays) so I presented them with everything -- the completed form, the DFA authenticated LTO Certificate, my IC and my PH License.

They took the original of the LTO Certification, IIRC.

PS: my PH license has Sept 2014 issue date shown, which is way after the date since I first worked in SG kaya I decided to get LTO certification. But a friend of mine wasn't asked for it. If you don't want any surprises though, siguro might be better to work on it.

@se29m pare sa PR ang requirement kailangan may PH DL before naging PR. for pass holders before nagwork sa SG. ganun paliwanag nung sa traffic police.

@se29m kelangan ung PH license mo ay before you came to SG, then written exam lang. unless nabago tong rule na to.

kakatapos lang ng BTT at nakapasa naman kahit minimal lang ang review.. naiwan ko PH DL ko kaya uwi muna at balik na lang mamaya for conversion.

@prcand after mo sagutin ang last question at click ang end test, magflash agad sa screen ang result. sa touchscreen monitor ang exam kaya walang papel at pen na kailangan. di naman ako hinanapan ng LTO cert kasi napakita ko naman lahat ng receipts ko since first issuance ng DL.
