Can I still apply even without related work experience?
Hello! I think I read somewhere months ago that experience it not necessary so long as you meet the minimum points for Visa 189? Hindi ko na po kase mahanap yung thread na yun, can I ask for confirmation from the members here?
Anyone here whose application is successful with 0 points sa experience?
Thank you po in advance sa sasagot!

From what I read dito, yes. Since points based naman yung visa 189. Isang component yung work experience. Pero kailangan pa din ipaassess yung qualification mo at dapat related sa nominated occupation mo. As long as makakuha ka ng 60pts, swak na yan.

dapat taasan mo lang IELTS para umabot sa 60 points
yung work experience kasi kailangan ipaassess sa assessing body. they will decide if your skill is at par with the australian standards. although madaming factors to be positively assessed, malaking factor ang work experience. ako lang naman eto, I would not take the chance to lodge a visa kung O ang work experience ko. tatanungin mo din sarili mo, paano magiging valuable ang skill mo sa Australia kung zero ang work experience sa skill nominated? It's too risky for me. Of course, this is just me. @Choochai

Check mo muna yung assessing body ng skills mo kung kailangan ng work experience. Bottomline is kailangan ma reach yung 60pts. Kahit walang work exp basta umabot sa 60pts minimum.

Tama po ito. And if you're a CPA/accountant.. Work experience is not required for skills assessment sa CPAA unlike ACS etc.

Thank you po sa mga sumagot! Mag submit po sana ako sa Australian Psychological Association, they specifically stated na hindi daw sila ng-a-assess ng work experience, qualification lang.
So based po sa mga nabasa ko and your comments, I guess I would need experience only if I will apply for State Sponsorship since they would take this into account.
Pero since I will apply for visa 189, eto po magiging points ko in case:
Occupation: Psychologist nec
Age (34) - 25 points Qualification - 15 points IELTS - 20 points (kung maka 8 in all tests)
Again, thank you po sa mga replies! Nabuhayan ako ng loob uli hehe

Hello mga Sir/Ma'am,
I'm currently a Mall Engineer( manages operations ang maintenance of the facilities/equipment of the building) here in Pinas. Im a licensed Mechanical Engineer. Hingi lang po ako advice. Though 1 year palang ang experience ko, i dream of working in OZ. Do you think it is wise to pursue facilities engineering if i want to work in australia? Im also taking my girlfriend ( soon to be my wife) who is a CPA with me. Should I shift to a different industry like oil and gas or construction? Please help po. This is my dilemma right now. Is facilities engineering best suited to make a good career sa australia or even penetrating it?
