Claiming points for overseas work experience

jiomarianojiomariano Clark, PhilippinesPosts: 233Member
Hi PinoyAU folks!

Sa May 2016, mag three years ako sa current work ko so I plan on having my skills assessed by then by EA. Licensed ECE po ako working as an equipment/process engineer sa isang semicon company. Sa mga nabasa ko sa ibang threads, may instances na nagdededuct ang EA ng work experience sa claims mo. Ang worry ko po kasi is baka di macredit yung three years experience ko if say, magpa-assess ako end of May 2016. Ano ang chances na mangyari to?

Also, I have read somewhere na as long as continuously employed ako upon applying for assessment, mas mataas ang chance na credit nila yung work experience. How true is this?

Salamat po sa mga sasagot! God bless and good luck to all!

all assessing bodies will decide when you are deemed skilled in your selected occupation..ibig sabihin, they require minimum number of years experience not just earning a degree and is deducted in the number of years work experience..this was only implemented recently so malaki ang chance na mababawasan ang number of years experience mo towards the points system..before it was only ACS using this system pero ngayon lahat na

Thank you po sa pagsagot Sir! In my case po kasi, mag tthree years na ako ng work come May 2016 and early June ko po sana balak magapply for assessment. Dun sa three years po na yun is may degree na ako and puro work na lang po talaga, malaki pa din po ba chance na mabawasan yung number of years sa pag claim ng work exp?

So if 3 years lang work experience mo considering na mababawas pa, you cannot claim points for work experience

@fgs Ay ganun po pala talaga. Anyway, I'd still try my luck since ongoing pa naman ang employment ko, baka iconsider pa nila. Hehe! EA din po ba assessing body nyo? :)

@fgs Kinoconsider ko na nga din po yun since may specific state naman po akong prefer dahil andun ang relatives ko :) magbabasa basa po ako sa details ng 190 to check on my options. Last na lang po, do you suggest isali ko pa yung work experience ko sa magiging assessment ko kung very likely din naman na mabawasan din at walang macredit na points? $250 din kasi yun . Hahahaha! Thanks!

@jiomariano may macredit na points o wala, you need positive skills assessment..yan ang basehan ng dipb kung skilled ka or not

@jiomariano kailangan mo isali kasi pag wala kang work experience na idedeclare, di ka icoconsider na skilled..kaya sila nagbabawas kasi not enough na may degree ka lang..they need certain number of years of experience para sabihin skilled ka nga, kaya yon binabawas when claiming points on work experience

@jinkai Hello! Sorry medyo inactive for the past month. Not sure kung may iba ng nakasagot ng tanong mo pero here's what I know, pwede ka pa din naman mag apply maski walang ma credit na points sa skilled working experience as long as mabuo mo yung 60 points from the other criteria :)

@jinkai pwedeng pwede as long na pasok ka 60pts. tsaka hindi kasama yung nominated job mo sa may mataas requirement pts. like Accountant which is 70pts. na now.

Yung friend ko po fresh grad ng mech eng'g sa isang Section 1 school, balak niyang magpa-assess sa EA. When we checked the Migration Assessment booklet ng EA, parang wala naman pong nakalagay na required na na may work experience before applying for assessment, or baka namiss lang namin? Merong special pathway for those that have at least 3 years experience overseas and/or 1 year Australian experience, or those that have a PhD. Or baka kailangan uli naming basahin yung booklet hehe.

Meron ba additional points pag may overseas experience?

And alam ko kasi you can get additional points for EOI if you have AU experience.

Yes pwede mag claim ng points for both for AU and overseas work experience. Although magkaiba ang points na naccredit vs the number of years of experience.

Also, di porke naka 5 years ka na sa work is automatic ng 5 years ang pwede mong claim. It is still up to the assessing body kung ilan ang ccredit nya sayo, at yun lang ang pwede mong claim sa EOI. Daya no? Hope this helps!

I'm not sure kung icoconsider ng DIAC as additional work experience kahit maghintay pa ng 9 mos without revalidation by EA. Sana may makakita nito who can enlighten us.

Ako din diskumpyansado na makakuha ng points for work experience eh kaya gusto ko mamaximze yung points ko sa language, maybe you can look into that too :)

Paano ba yung case mo bakit 2.3 years ang nacredit? Lumipat ka ng ibang company or isang company lang yun at di lang talaga nicredit ni EA yung buong stay mo?
