485 graduate visa question

ninyehninyeh BrisbanePosts: 70Member
Thank you for all the info from this website! Just need information about this. Hope someone have experienced or have information.

Me and my wife are here in australia and I just finished my two year degree. we are planning to include our kids back in the philippines for the 485 temporary graduate visa..

question 1 : Can i include my kids in my onshore application even though they are in PH?

question 2 : Can I apply for 485 using my existing OSHC? Would DIBP accept this as an adequate health insurance? I am aware they will advise me when to get another insurance.

Thank you! More power!

tanong ko din if I can use my existing OSHC. If not, may ano marerecommend nyo na health insurance for visa 485?

Sinimulan ko na yung online application. Hindi ko pa nga lang masubmit kasi kulang pa ako ng ibang requirements. Hopefully this week or next week makapagsubmit na ako ng application ko.

I am finishing my course on Dec 2016, I am eligible to apply for Graduate Visa - Subclass 485 and my visa is expiring on March 2017.

I am coming home to PH on December after finishing my course, and come back on Feb 2017 to apply for my Grad Visa.

My question is, Di ba magkaka-issue yun sa immigration pag balik ko dito sa AUS? Kasi tapos na ang course ko. Di ba sila magtatanong? Anyone who has similar recent experience with me?

i think wala namang issue dyan kaya lang ang magiging concern mo is that if you have sufficient time to lodge your 485 visa kasi you need your assessment pa para sa occupation mo. But if tingin mo wala problema dyan then go for it.....

    Hi all!

I just got back from our holiday from PH between Dec-Jan and wala naman problem with the visa expiring on March 2018 this year.

But I have a question sana same po kay @ninyeh if anyone can help po @danyan2001us

I am about to lodge our grad visa application; can I include my son who is in PH?

From the immig website it says po
"If you are applying as the main applicant, you and anybody else covered by the application must be in Australia when you apply for this visa and when your visa is decided.

Family members who apply for this visa after the main applicant has been granted the visa may be in or outside Australia when they apply, but must not be in immigration clearance."

Gusto ko po one application na. Ayoko mag subsequent entrant po if possible. Any advise on this matter? Thanks!

@MLBS @KrisQ eto explanation ni DHA website:

Qualifications must be closely related to nominated occupation

The qualification(s) completed must be closely related to the student's nominated skilled occupation. For your qualification to be considered to be closely related to your nominated occupation, the skills underpinning the qualification must be directly transferable to that occupation. This applies to both the subject matter and the level of the qualification. For example, if you nominate 'physiotherapist' as your occupation, a degree in physiotherapy would meet this requirement, but a degree in commerce would not.

Example: Acceptable combinations of study and nominated occupations include:

an applicant who nominates 'Physiotherapist' as their skilled occupation and completes a degree in physiotherapy in Australia
an applicant who nominates 'Air-conditioning and Mechanical Services Plumber' as their skilled occupation who has completed a Certificate III in Plumbing and a Diploma of Plumbing and Services in Australia

Example: A combination of study and nominated occupation that would not be acceptable:

An applicant's nominated occupation is Registered Nurse but they satisfied the Australian study requirement on the basis of having completed a Bachelor of Commerce.

@agentKams thanks. Hindi ko pa din ma-satisfy yung concerns ko.
Management consultant highly relevant studies daw is business and management degrees.my degree is international hospitality management, and merong actual title na hospitality management consultant in real life ha.
So parang tricky kase management related pero specific eh hospitality so merong akong similar subjects sa buskneas degree like accounting, leadership, strategy, marketing etc.

@KrisQ check mo iyong course outcome sa syllabus or program description mo. but in my opinion, your course is relevant to your nominated occupation. business and management pa din naman magfall iyong course mo kasi napakadiverse ng discipline na iyan.

@agentKams I plan kasi on taking Cert IV and Diploma on 'Work Health and Safety'. Since I'm a graduate of engineering, related ba sya in your opinion? Kasi I think so e. Lalo na isa sa mga descriptions ng occupation code ko sa ANSZCO says:

'establishing and monitoring performance and safety standards and procedures for operation, modification, maintenance and repair of such systems'

@agentKams pero eto nag-hahanap din ako ng pwedeng pirma ng statement na pwedeng rin potential career path ang management consultancy with specialisation in hospitality. I already send email sa Le Cordon Bleu mismo. para aside sa course syllabus (which explains the management component kase 5 subjects ko business management eh) eh makapag-provide sila ng document stating that. sana may gumawa nun from Uni kase feeling ko lang its helping me prove my case sa sino mang mag-assess.

@pinkoctober eto yung sabi sa website:

You might need to provide police certificates from each country in which anyone in your application has spent a total of 12 months or more in the past 10 years since turning 16 years of age. The office processing your application will advise you if they need these documents.

(ako nagprovide na para di na sila manghingi :) )

kailangan masatisfy mo ang Australian Study Requirement and if you are applying for Graduate Work Stream you need to provide Skills Assessment which is on the Immi website.

Hello po, crowd source lang. I'm enrolling for a 72 week diploma of community services sa SCEI. Pwede parin po ba akong makapag-apply for graduate visa if mageenroll ako ng panibagong course related to community service/social work to fulfill the 2 yr study requirement? Pwede ko po bang iextend and student visa if ever mag-enroll ako ulit?
