@filsgoz hello. Ung nabasa ko sa forum ngayon daw 5 days ang e-appeal tas two weeks ang fingerprinting. Andito na ako sa pinas.hehe more than a year lang ako sa SG kasi di ko kinaya ang homesick at toxic ng work. Buti ka pa tumagal ka dun hindi ko msyado namimiss ang SG.hehe pero dami ko friends dun. Sila tumagal sila dun. Iba iba tlga preference ng tao no?

Hindi naman bababa points ko if ever mag wait ng konti. Gusto ko lng sana mkpunta ng oz this year kya fast track sana application. Mag retake ako pte sa aug. Pag di ko pa din nakuha superior kelangan mag isip isip ng plans hehe

Kamusta kyo sa Vic? Jan na kyo mag settle talaga?

@Hunter_08 pede naman lumipat after two years or pag di nakahanap ng job.hehe tiis tiis lang muna sa simula or baka magustuhan mo din ang place who knows ang alam kong city sa tassie ay Hobart and Launceston. Pede ka mag drive going to different places. Pede din magdrive going to melbourne mga 8hrs

matutupad din ang OZ dream in God's time. Laban lang

Hi @MissOZdreamer Life here in Victoria is same same Business as usual lang. Was working in Melbourne and living here in Geelong close to the beach. So it's a great place to be especially if you like being away from the busy city after work

Tassie's alright @Hunter_08 . Sabi nga ni @MissOZdreamer you can drive around. Me and my partner lived in Launceston, next to University of Tasmania. Hobart is 3 hours drive from Lonnie. You cannot drive to Melbourne though but you and your car can take the Spirit of Tasmania to go the mainland. Port of call is Port Melbourne. Tasmania is an island down Downunder

Dati nadidisappoint ako pag nadedelay ang mga steps ko going to OZ but I realized na may reason si God kung bakit. Unti unti narealize ko din kung ano un.

Pasasaan ba at sa grant din tayo lahat mauuwi. Kanya kanyang timing ni God lang talaga

@filsgoz wow ang saya. Yan ang gusto ko malapit sa beach nakatira tas sa city ung work. Parang after ng long day stress sa work paguwi mo sa bahay dun ka lang sa veranda mag dinner with wine overlooking ung beach. Ayayay! Ang sarap mangarap.hehe malapit ba yan sa great ocean road? Ang hindi ko bet sa melbourne ay madaming students tas madaming chinese and koreans.haha gusto ko ung locals kasi very friendly nila.

Perfect house nyo kasi malapit sa beach. Naiimagine ko pede mag barbecue sa labas tas invite ka ng friends. Meron ba mga apartment/condo style malapit din sa beach?

May training ako this week, medyo madugo pa to hanggang Saturday, dito muna ako sa Cebu City. Resume ako in this forum and documents prep Monday nextweek.

Btw, san law firm ka dito sa Sg? ung dati kc namin sa City hall samay Adelfi nag.retire na. Di ko alam san ba di masyado mahal maningil.

@spyware sa pinas ko lahat pina CTC yung akin e.. maski yung mga COE ko dito sa pinas lahat.. wala naman naging problema.. mahal kasi dito e.. heheeh

if you are fine with shops closing sometimes as early as 3pm and definitely at 5pm, and if you plan to buy a car as soon as you arrive, and if you're ready for the extreme cold and heat, then tassie is really such a lovely place to be

@filsgoz is it really necessary na bumili ng sasakyan agad sa Tassie? super hindi ba convenient ng public transporation nila? alam ko mostly bus lang tlga yung public transpo at walang trains.

I wouldn't exactly know kasi me and my partner didn't take public transport when we lived there. We used my uncle's car the first week after we arrived and we got our car the week after. But from observation and the stories of my cousins who were born and raised in tassie, waiting time is horrible - an hour or hour and a half on the weekends and public holidays and about 30mins wait. That's in Launceston (2nd largest city in tassie, up north) and they live very close to the CBD. Sa Hobart within the CBD and closest neighbouring suburbs, around 30mins wait din sa weekdays. Public holiday and weekends are the pain. So make sure that's factored in if deciding to live in tassie

Hi @Hunter_08 malamang tama ka sa mga buses. Trains would have different timing. Car prices? It can be as cheap as you want (high km's, older car models, no rego, with some cosmetic defects) $4k plus. If you can buy newer or brand new, better. Gagamitin mo naman din kasi in the long haul.

@filsgoz yup tama ka pero kasi for starter syempre kailangan muna magtipid...pag nakahanap na siguro ng work taska na lang bumili ng brand new na sasakyan... kung kakayanin na wala munang sasakyan for the meantime.

@Hunter_08 tama and dapat handa din when you make the big move. anyone who's thinking of moving to tassie, it would be wise to look for accommodation around CBD or houses in very close neighboring suburbs para di masyado hassle if taking public transport.

@Hunter_08 and to add to it, kung galing ka din sa Singapore, you won't be too shocked dahil sa biglaang shift from city to a country living. as in, kahit weekdays pagsapit ng 5pm tahimik na kahit sa CBD (Launceston or Hobart).
