Should you bring your laptop to Australia or buy one there instead? Please share your preference

Mates, is it advisable to bring your own laptop from Pinas or better buy one upon arriving at Australia? Your insights shall be highly appreciated. Thanks a lot!

June 1, 2016 - Submit to agent CO request (Wife's NBI, Medicals)
June 7, 2016 - Youngest son undergone x-ray at SLEC (2nd visit)
June 14, 2016 - ALL family members "COMPLETED" status to DIBP on medicals

August 4, 2016 VISA GRANT thank you LORD
August 19, 2016 - PDOS at CFO

    U can bring your own laptop. 220 Volts naman dito pareho sa pinas. just buy an adaptor kasi iba yung prongs style sa socket.

    Just have ur laptop software original and remove all pirated ebooks, songs, movies etc...

    @tooties great info, thanks! My wife has a SONY VAIO laptop, decent to use pero pink color eh kaya dyahe if yun dadalhin ko. Plus, I thought of buying one for my own use here kasi I might use AUTOCAD for work kaya might as well prefer a 1TB hard drive built in storage with a faster processor. I heard kasi expensive ang gadgets dyan sa Aussie. Saan state ka po? I'm a mech engineer by profession. Still to take my PTE exam this March.

    Since bread and Butter mo yung laptop. Yes I guess ok n yun bumili k nang bago if vital yan sa work. Medyo mahal nga at di gaano ka latest or updated yung some gadgets. mas advance p sometimes ang pinas..lalo n sa celphone.
