@admt2016 hello mate! Enjoying the sunnies here in WA. Last week, we are done with strawberry pick then crabbing naman next week. Been driving here in Ellenbrook and nearby suburbs down to South Midland. I can't wait for my family to come 2 weeks from now. I will drive them around for sure. Regards my love to Adelaide!

@admt2016 got a casual job already. Pretty straightforward type of job that you hold your time. I just report to my Manager 3-4 hours per week and a convenience of driving her way to our home to pick up my deliverables. This is a sales related job. Pretty decent though temporarily. Good thing I could pass this on to my wife. This job requires driving within your suburb area nearby plus good communication skills. Job incentive basis with no tax.

I have lots of permanent jobs applied. Just awaiting the call from one of them in random. :x

Hi guys! We applied na for car loan and fortunately we got approved. Docs needed are payslips (last 2), bank details, leasing contract ng bahay, employment contract, medicare card, passport, license. We got approved for Jeep Renegade Sport (auto) for 276aud fortnight (nakapromo kasi sila)! Husband's dream car. Thank you Lord! Merry Christmas everyone!

Guys, I am pleased to inform our batch that I just got "änother" volunteering job here in MOTOR MUSEUM of WA inside Whiteman Park. I just report to park curator on the days I wanted to report for duty from 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM only. Good thing, this is my passion - CARS! Thanking GOD as I just inquired while visiting the park after taking my Sunday mass and immediately the park museum assistant had gave me a form and was interviewed by 2 australians. So tomorrow, I shall call the curator and will begin immediately with the perk of free uniform top. Isn't it amazing mates? Plus the drive from the park to our home is just 5 minutes. @Kate_OZ2015 hello mate! WA has been good to me for a month here so far. I secured my ANZ bank account, TFN, Medicare & proof of age card/photo card from DOT (driver identity). Everything here in AU requires identity proof for all transactions so prioritize all of these upon arriving here. My next target shall be CENTRELINK once family arrives few weeks time.

More importantly, learn to DRIVE a car. I bought one, TOYOTA CAMRY year model 2002. This brought me to places as within 2 weeks, I already driven the car fast myself with of course abiding with australian road safety standard.

Just shoot to me your queries especially for those who needed it as starters. I shall be glad to help the best I can. The key is pray, stay patient and be a conversant savvy as australians are pleasant people to talk to especially the elders. :x

@jedh_g thanks mate! Actually, two months na kaming andito ni hubby sa sydney. We both have casual work with long hours especially during our first month. as of now, laylow muna ako with work kasi di pa masyado stable since kakabukas lang nung pinapasukan namin. Si hubby na muna full time. But still a blessing coz nkakapag hanap na kami ng sariling apartment to rent and i can also start again looking for a job that is more related to my profession.

I agree with having a car here and we're looking forward to having one after getting an apartment to rent. And yes, one thing that I have learned is to be more confident and converse more.

By the way, how did you have your engineering credentials evaluated by engineers australia? Regards to your wife. Thanks in advance.

@elleb1 hello there. Mraming casual jobs sa sydney. Mas okay thou kapag may kakilala kasi uso dito referrals. Atleast two ata na payslip. Andito na ba kayo? Try nyo kumuha sa furnished property kasi considerate sila, karamihan ng clients nila mga bago dto kaya lang medyo mahal pro nasa city naman kaya minus na pamasahe and furnished pa.

@Kate_OZ2015 hi there. Its a good decision that I pushed my wife for our Camry with a fair price at 1,500 AUD only. Nag cash out lang at first payment at 500 AUD and drive away na. Balance shall be paid this December and rego of this car is due until Dec19.

Well, for Engineers Australia, way back from receiving my CDR outcome last December 2015, I applied as member and evaluated as passing the migrant assessment. It is just I preferred that I pay the member's obligation fee to optimize my benefit as a bonafide member. To some, they may see it as optional but I viewed it differently as a mechanical engineer. It gives flesh to my charter plans so I pushed it. If you got queries, please don't hesitate to ask me and I shall be willing to share my inputs. Regards!

@elleb1 hello I'm from WA but to share here's my experience in getting approved for rent

100 PT ID system applies so you need to present the following:

1. Passport
2. Visa grant notice as PR 189/190
3. Birth Certificate
3. Proof of income (considering no job yet) - Philippine bank account, electric, water bills
*Usually a 3,000-4000 AUD bank enforced is fine + your other property for selling
4. Proof of residency (if house share upon IED to Australia, ask permission from the owner)

It is important that you declare if you intend a 6 months or 1 year lease as expression of interest. This shall be submitted to the property agent and for final review and approval from the owner.

Just a tip, once the house for rent specification say 2 bedrooms and 1 toilet and you are a big family to occupy, usually this comes negative to the owner as you will have increased early deterioration factor on their property use. The lesser people to occupy, the more chances to secure the rent awarding. Also, you can only be given application form, once you set for house viewing unless in my case then, I had used my classmate to view in my behalf.

So in conclusion, know the number of persons intended to occupy if couple or with kids, then check the specification of the house in terms of number of beds, toilets and parking space (in some properties, pets are not allowed). Then select the house of choice and ensure booking schedule to property agent for viewing. Be prompt on time as agents tend to leave if you're late on appointment. Then finally, once you are called as approved by owner, check the house for present damages for occupying. Until such time your rental tenancy lease agreement form is signed, you are not yet secured for occupancy. Make sure to read the conditions stated before leasing.
