@elleb1 Oo ganun nga plano plano na para sa budgeting yan ang mejo challenging. okay din move nyo na mauna si hubby mo para makasettle muna sya at maayos matitirhan nyo. kami baka sabay sabay na or mauna din si hubby ng 1 or 2 mos lang. malaman na hehe. sa Colebee kami titira muna sa friend ko, bumili sila bahay lilipat pa lang sila this April. mejo malayo sa cbd kaya nagiisip kami buy ng 2nd hand car kase may bata din kami at for practice lang din. I-treat na lang naming as outright expense kase 2nd hand naman na. tutulungan daw naman kami ng friend naman ni hubby sa paghanap ng mura.

Goodluck talaga sa atin.. Natutuwa ako sa MAY Batch kase sarap mgbasa ng mga posts nyo tsaka kakainspire din.. positive lang.

Thank you @Captain_A . That means a lot to us din. We were thinking kase na sa layo ng Dubai sa Australia, mahirap magpabalik balik. And since free pa kami sa rent sa oz at gagastos ng malaki sa rent dito sa dxb might as well go for it, one time na lang. Mas nagagastusan kase kami habang tumatagal dito.

@ms.dee_celestiel oo me isa mauna samin kc wla kami kakilala doon so maghanap muna c hubby ng matitirhan namin. Kami din balak namin mag invest sa second hand car kc mahirap pag wlang sasakyan. Good luck satin and God bless din sa big move nyo

@elleb1 @ms.dee_celestiel go for a 2nd hand car at less 1500 AUD only. You could find a decent toyota camry (2002) 5 seaters like mine for sure with less than 100k km mileage. Rego is less 200 AUD good for 3 months already. You need a reliable one as you got kids. As long as there is no under engine oil drip issue and passed the 100 pts safety check, you're good to drive here. Go to your nearest department of transport satellite for your driver photo card mean time (you could use this australian card ID as well for TFN application too) and valid for 3 months (of course show your updated/renewed philippine driver's license). Cheers!

@jedh_g sir, san po pede maghanap ng 2nd hand car around 1500 AUD? Kahit sedan type muna..basta may magamit lang kasi balita ko..medyo hassle magcommute. Eh medyo tipid kami ng baon so we cannot go for a brand new car pa.

@vhenzchico mine kasi I bought on a filipino chef whom I knew. Marami naman car galleries sa mga suburbs. Here in WA I knew areas to find car dealerships. Marami naman just scout lang bro..

Para lang po sa kaalaman ng lahat, ang CONCESSION CARD ay pra lang po sa my annual income na less than 43k. Once ngkawork na kyo at mas mataas sa 43K kelangan nyo itawag yan sa centrelink, kse if not at patuloy nyo pa dn gagamitin kayo ang magkakautang sa centrelink. Just Sharing.

@jedh_g Yes, hopefully makahanap kami ng ganang price kase sa Sydney kami, mahal ata doon hehe. Gamitin muna namin ni hubby yung license namin dito sa UAE, alamin naming pano makadrive muna pansamantala within 3 mos there tapos tsaka apply ng full license if applicable. Ang sabi kase ng friend ko, medyo mahirap kase daw pag may kids kase nga yung ibang taxi at uber ata walang car seat. Mandated by law yung carseats so need nga ata lalo sa lugar na pagstayan namin pansamantala is di pa accessible sa public transpo.

Nasa magkano kaya ang monthly budget sa NSW for a family of 4, lets say malapit sa sydney na suburb. House, bills ( electric,internet,water ), tuition for school, groceries. Para ma approx natin kung ilang month tatagal ang babaunin, or magkano babaunin to last how many month. Pakiramdam ko kc dami NSW sa May batch.. hehehe

@Megger Estimate for a family of 3, pre-school na bata but if 5 years old na pued na sa public school so maliit lng babayaran sa school (donation lng, uniform), not living in CBD area. Weekly budget kc weekly yung bayad ng house rent.

Accommodation (1 bedroom apartment) - 400-500 per week
Food/Grocery - 120 per week
Fare (opal) - 40 per week per person

Utilities (electricity and water) - 100 per month
Phone Bill (2 lines) - 70 per month

Child Care - 100-120 per day, pero me matatanggap na Child Care Rebate and Benefit depende sa income
Kain sa Labas - 30 per labas
Yung drinking water pued lang tap water magkabit lang daw ng filter kc malinis ang water sa Oz.

Plus mag budget ng Health Insurance, siguro pag me work na.

Me mga 2nd hand cars daw na 2000 or less. Mag ready din ng pang deposit and advance sa apartment, mga 6 weeks rent to be safe.

So mga 3170 to 3670 per month (5 weeks) excluding child care, pasyal/kain sa labas, private health insurance.

@Megger research to the max na hehehe wala kc kami relatives doon. Next step e mag scout ng matitirhan sa Sydney pag IE namin ngayong March. Iba pa rin yung mkita yung place hanggang imagination lang ako ngayon.

@Megger oo sa rent tlaga mag differ, sobrang mahal talaga sa Sydney compared to other places in NSW. Pag malayo layo na like mga 2 hours drive meron ng 250-300 per week, depende nlang kung saan tayo makahanap ng work.

@ms.dee_celestiel, katulad din ng sa inyo ang naging decision namin.. magexpire na kasi ang rent namin sa dxb kaya we decided not to renew and big move na yo oz. magpapacargo ba kayo? Let me know irecommend ko yung mover namin. Sila ang pinaka mura na naresearch namin sa dubai at ok sila kausap. Let me know para PM kita.

And by the way batchmates, na-approve na yung rent application namin. It was our first application and thank God na-approve naman. Although we proposed to pay 5 months rent in advance to secure the property, thankfully di na nila pinabayaran. So normal payments lang kami. Malaking tulong ata na kinausap namin yung agent about our circumstances.
