Help Regarding Water and Utilities for Renting a House

Hello and hope everyone is fine today.

I just arrive in Melbourne 2weeks ago and my hubb wants us to rent our own accommodation.Ngayon kase we are just renting 2rooms in a house which is great but I think mas gusto ni hubby yung he can freely mive around. Question is, after you have found a property of your choice, pano mangyayari sa water and utilities? Present na ba ito dpat once you move in or kame parin magcocontact ng utility companies para kabitan kame. If so, how long does this normally be processed?

Any advice and tips when renting would be greatly appreciated.

kayo tatawag sa water and electricity. Saglit lang yung electricity baka on that day or kinabukasan may kuryente na kayu. itatawag nyo lang.

pag unit provided na nila(strata) ang water - free na yun

usually kasma na nag water sa rent (dit osa sydney) not sure sa meb is iban ang arrangement dyan pero i think same lang.

Electricity/gas lang yung problemahin mo na mag pakabit.
