@jkk32w PRC license is a must if your friend is applying as MECHANICAL ENGINEER. Kung wala syang license, I think he can apply as PRODUCTION ENGINEER.

My husband has a mechanical engineering degree, pero ang lahat ng experience nya ay Mechanical Quantity Surveying. May specific degree na hinhingi si AIQS. Kung kay AE kaya? Pwede sya magpassess? TIA sa magrerespond. 🥰

Try nyo both. Ang EA, need ng CDR so either yung projects nya sa school or work related to mech engineering.

1. Job Hunting
- mahabang patience needed natin. I started submitting my CV to SEEK, Indeed etc. but all I can say is retrofit your CV based on the skills they are needing and not our years of experience Sa Pinas. Iba talaga dito Sa Australia, dapat look for their advertised jobs and if you feel you fit, get the skills and qualifications listed and show it on your CV. Secondly, make a cover letter showing your intention sincerely.
2. My personal job experience is in plant facilities. I mean, grab mo na Lang muna what is available. I started as a tradesman and other odd jobs to gain local experience.
Nakakapanibago pero we had to deal with it. Wala ka tauhan dito kaya have your sleeves rolled up.
Follow me on LinkedIn (Jedh Quenano) usap tayo! Cheers!

Hi @oliouki,
Based on experience it's best for your husband to have their assessment with EA. Masyadong strict ang AIQS when it comes to requirements. With reference to their website, it is noted there that "allied disciplines" may be considered but not a guarantee. Also noted that electrical and mechanical engineers are not allied disciplines.
Hope this helps.

Hello
Anyone here na registered mechanical engr. and working as a piping design engr na nag pa assess sa EA?
Did you submit CDR only, or CDR+RSEA?
(I am a piping design engr with 8+ yrs of EPC experience in one company)

Best kung CDR+RSEA. Un RSEA kasi makakatulong sa pag-claim ng work exp as support kay home affairs sa application mo. Goodluck
