where do you guys buy groceries..? sa coles ako kasi may flybuys points..pero sabi mahal daw ung coles/ woolworth more expensive than coles. have anyone heard of aldi's? my friends keep telling me dun mag grocery but i haven't seen one near my area.. i googled but i need to take a bus just to get there.
for filipino food..marami sa blacktown talaga.. my sister lives near there, may restos that sell palabok, my stores that sell pandesal, chorizo bilbao filipino brand, hipon and etc. but kasi blacktown from my area is almost 1 hour and 40 mins. by train... it's too much hassle to go for me but for people near there.. blacktown is the place to go for pinoy food.

Dito sa Singapore wala din Jollibee but some entrepreneurial Pinoys created a stall somewhere in the CBD with the name Happy Bee; logo nila bee din. Ang fried chicken nila tasted like Jollibee as well. For whatever reason they changed their name in Happy Vee... ehehehe!! :)

@LokiJr @aldousnow it's not that maybe..sobrang mahal na kasi ng franchise ng jollibee ngayon.. so if someone what's to bring jollibee here dapat may capital talaga.

Just started working for 1 week now. my first day I thought like in sg all people mostly eat outside. But here no, some aussies bring their own food health conscious sila mostly kinakain nila salad chicken gnun. Tho matataba or chubby paden sila hehe.

If you eat fastfood here, its cheap if you buy from fastfood, cheeseburger meal at mcdo is $4.50, subway meal $8. a sub is only $4.95 if its not a meal so its still reasonable.

The expensive thing here is drinks in sg its like $1 sgd here drinks outside is expensive $3-4 aud.

Jollibee po mismo magdadala dito sa AU... not a franchisee...

@icebreaker1928 i would beg to differ about food standard..have you guys been to chinatown? or to haymarket in sydney??

if mataas ang standard ng AU and mababa ang standard ng jollibee.. then i think there is something seriously wrong happening in chinatown :P

jollibee can do it on their own.. but some of their stores in california, USA are franchises... so i think they prefer it that way.. maximize profit/ lower cost for them.

Revisiting this thread I created last yr:

2 months into my work, I have always bring baon with me more than 90% of the time... It is cheaper to cook and bring your own rather than eating out which would cost at least $7 here in Melbourne. :)

I heard from an old forumer na kaya walang franchise ang jollibee dito e gusto nila sa pinas manggagaling ang workers ( para mura ) which inde pumayag ang AUS, syempre they would prefer locals

back to the topic ... baon ako lagi ... kung tinopak at walang pagkain no choice e lunch out ...
