    hehe wala kc handwritten ung binigay ko pinapalit ko lng to typewritten eh ntagalan :) ok lng i'll just keep it just incase the MOC's ask for it :) thank you

    May 23 - DIAC acknowledged application
    May 31 - Medicals NHSI
    June 4 - NHSI submitted results
    June 10 - Medicals referred to MOC June 4
    June 25 - was informed we needed addtl tests for hubby
    June 28 - hubby's meds uploaded and referred to HOC AUSTRALIA
    June 23 - received email from DIAC stating "we have recently received your husbands medical clearance".
    Aug 1 - request form 815 health undertaking passed it on the same day :)
    Aug 5 - emailed diac that i have to be able to attend uni on the 12th otherwise i would need to defer my course.
    Aug 6 - they might have read my email and issued a grant at 2pm
    Aug 7 - received sms that they have dispatched documents thru courier

    Thank you god!!:) im done waiting :)

    June 23 - received email from DIAC stating "we have recently received your husbands medical clearance".
    Aug 1 - request form 815 health undertaking passed it on the same day :)
    Aug 5 - emailed diac that i have to be able to attend uni on the 12th otherwise i would need to defer my course.
    Aug 6 - they might have read my email and issued a grant at 2pm
    Aug 7 - received sms that they have dispatched documents thru courier

    Please note XXXXX medical files were given to the Medical Officer of the Commonwealth (MOC) for assessment. It can take 8 to 12 weeks before the assessment is finalised. There is nothing you should do at this stage.
    However, MOC would contact you if they need more information/tests to be done.

    Haay tagal, good luck to us!
    Meron po ba naka experience na na referred ang med pero d naman umabot ng 8 weeks hehe..

    @alexamae nasa 8th week na ako. CO na ba talaga yan? baka mga personnel yan nang Communications Unit sa Manila. Nakareply na sa akin ang health.strategies. hindi sila involved sa pag sasagot pertaining to our medicals, parang tech support sila ng panel physicians ata.

    I suggest for any follow ups on the health outcome you need to contact your case officer. I have however had a look at the health examinations and I can see that they are with a MOC in Global Health. If there is any urgency on this please discuss this with your case officer.>

    Pano na yan alexamae?siguro ma dedeferred din pati ennrolment natin nito kung 8-12 weeks. grabe naman yan. Nasa ika 8th weeks na ako ngayon since na refer yung sa wife ko na medicals. Sabi nang Communications Unit sa Manila, 8 weeks lang daw. ngayon sayo 8-12. grabe naman to. Nag follow up ako a few hours ago. wala pa namang automated email na sumasabi na nareceive na ng DIAC

    Please note that the medical results of your wife have been referred to the
    Health Operation Centre in Australia for review by a Medical officer of the
    Commonwealth, last 03 May 2013. Due to current backlogs with the Health
    Operations Centre deferred medicals are taking approximately 8 weeks (from
    date of referral) for a decision to be made.>

    @alexamae meron po :) may mga nkita ako ready n sya magwait ng 12 wks sabay after 5 weeks nafinalise na :) based dun sa mga nbbasa ko prng mhrap dn ianalyze ung system ng MOC :) kc ung iba na referred ng JAN naunahan p ng mga MARCH.

    @maliboo hindi lang hassle sa work resignation, yung mga closing of bank accounts para ma transfer sa oz, accomodation arrangements, luggage, tickets...grrrr!!! hahaha

    na defer yata si franz mam di po ba nag health undertaking siya dahil sa hypertension? or maybe its another person.

    grabe din pala research mo mam. hehe. anyway, dapat maaprove na tayo para maka alis na na sa bansang to. i dont hate this country, I only hate the people who run this country and the sad thing is we are helpless against them haha

    Dapat ba m.upload muna yung medical result before kayo e.refer? O pwede lng e.refer without uploading yet the result.

    Naguguluhan lang talaga ako. Kasi di pa inupload ung medical result ko. I just had the med exam last June 5.

    @heyitscharmlalalala - medicals referred means your medical results is for further checking by the global health medical officers...

    so that means, your medical should be uploaded first, before it will be medicals referred..
    once uploaded and wala nmn problem, then hindi na ma-re-referred, the CO can make a decision on your visa application immediately.

    Yan kasi ang problema ko ngayon. They didn't upload yet the medical result. Yet, I already had an additional exam. And they informed me that they won't upload yet not until they already have the result for the sputum exam.

    Nkaka-sad nmn to. Sana alam ko na ngaun ang status ng visa ko.

    @maliboo saba nga nila 1 week before the intake. Woaaah ang mahal na kaya mgp.book ng ticket! Hahaa tapos na po ung 3 day sputum exam. We're waiting for the results nlng. Hahaa ang tagal nuh? Hmff -.- sana e.consider ng embassy.

    suggests that there are a number of things that Australia’s health
    requirement does not pick up:

    If we were thinking about costs to our health system, we know
    obesity and diabetes are an enormous cost to our health system.
    We do not test for that. Our health matrix does not pick up
    wealthy businessmen from the US who might have a heart attack
    the minute they get here due to their heavy executive role. So all
    the assumptions we are making about cost do have value
    judgements behind them. We do not cost general migrants. We do
    not cost migrants from developed countries.

    Can somebody explain to me this? Im confused. It could mean that they don't want the cost of healthcare or they don't mind the cost.

    @KG2 - i think the author is challenging how the health requirement on immigration is currently defined.. what test are required, and who will be tested..

    it looks like (based on her statement above) if someone from the US is applying for a business visa (those who bring lots of money for investment), they will not be required for medical test (cholesterol and diabetes)..

    once approve na ang visa as PR, entitled na sa general health services (which means cost sa goverment)...

    so in the end, she wants to have a reform on the medical matrix na sinasabi nya..

    @alexamae ... yun medical ko May 13 pa sinubmit ng clinic, then sa wife ko May 22... until now, di wala pang result... email ko rin ang CO namin at health strategies... di rin sumasagot... by the way, ilang times kayo nag email sa CO mo before sya nakapag respond?
    Ang health strategies d talaga yan sumasagot kasi inimail ko din yan dati hehe.
    Nung kaka allocate palang namin ng CO sinabihan na kami na natanggap na nya ang sa asawa ko na medicals ang sakin wala pa.

    Nag follow up kami sa clinic sabi June 7 sinubmit na daw sa DIAC.
    Starting nun nagtatanong na kami sa CO kunwari...
    "Sir, complete na kami sa docs, meds nalang kulang asan na ba yun?"
    mga 2-3 times ko din sya tinatanong sinasabay ko kada submit ko ng requirements haha..
    Mabilis naman kasi sya mag reply un nga lang sa first 2 times na nagtanong ako d nya sinasagot sa reply nya. Nung pang 3rd sabi nya na na referred nga daw at 8-12 weeks ang waiting ngayon.
    So tinanong namin kailan para mkapag bilang na kami kung ilang weeks pa ang hihintayin, sumagot naman sya June 8. Tapos sabi namin pwede bang maka pagrequest ng expedite, wala na daw syang magagawa kasi nasa MOC daw po un.

    Ayun po ang storya haha. Mabait ang CO namin kasi mabilis mag reply ng email at update sa evisa. :)

    Okay lang po ba magtanong if sinabi ng CO sa inyo ano reason na na referred? samin kasi sinabi ng clinic dahil sa high sugar ko. May medication na ako ngaun, type b lang naman ititigil pag mababa na. Ang gi ko lang sure is if may category sila sa mga findings like anong stage ganun. Kasi sa kabilang forum, sugar din un sa kanya 24 days lang na referred ang meds nya na finalise at approve sya.

    Let's keep our hopes up sana ma approve na tayo :)
