Regarding po sa cfo issue nayan, balak po kasi naming mag initial entry sa sydney by the end of january 2013, manggagaling po kami dito sa mid. East, kaso dahil may sakit po mother ko at gusto ko syang makita, pag nasa sydney kami uuwi muna ako for 2wks sa pilipinas, from sydney to clark and vise versa..
Kung nanggaling naba ako sa australia kailangan padin ba akong dumaan sa usual process para makabalik ulit duon like cfo, pdos, etc?

Yung friend ko ilang beses nang labas-masok sa Manila from Sydney hindi naman daw sya dumaan sa PDOS na yan. Swertihan lang siguro.

We did our CFO seminar on a Tuesday several weeks back. We came very early at around 10 because we thought that we will run out of available slots. It was pretty fast and in less than 30 minutes natapos na namin ang registration.
We came back at around 130PM and we were surprised that less than 15 lang ang migrants going to Australia who will be undergoing the CFO seminar that day. Anyway, the seminar proper went on for more than 2hours. Di naman nakakaantok ang speaker but most of what he was blabbering about, most of us already know lalo na if we read a lot sa mga forums.
Pretty much a useless seminar in my own opinion but hey, it is a law that we should all be complying!
Oh yeah, don't forget to photocopy relevant documents for each CFO seminar participant. Yung visa grant letter kasi namin I only printed one copy for me and misis pero yun pala per person pala ang docs. Ayun I had to go out and look for a photocopy machine.

Based on your experience, parang hindi naman ganun karami ang nag seseminar diba? so hindi naman cguro nagkaka ubusan ng slot or nagkataon lang. Have you tried asking them kung ganito talga ang usual na scenario with regards to number of attendees ng seminar?

1. kung galing ka pinas, kelangan mo dumaan sa CFO (Manila) for PDOS na 2 hours, after lunch yung seminar so pumunta na kayo around 11am. Check CFO website for sched
2. kung galing ka sa ibang bansa like SG or MY, hinde na kelangan (wtf di ba!?) pag umuuwi sila ng pinas/pabalik ng AU deretso na sa travel tax hinde hinanap yung CFO sticker nila
ako galing din ako ibang bansa pero umuwi muna sa pinas bago mag AU. kumuha na ko ng PDOS/CFO sticker para hinde mahassle
if OFW na kayo, na nagPDOS din, iba yung PDOS sa CFO mas specific for AU. Yun ay kung uuwi lang kayo ng Pinas.
Unfortunately batas sya Pinas na kelangan mag PDOS or CFO (migrants) hinde lang maganda pagkaka-implement kaya maraming tao ang nahahassle

marami na rin (like me) ang nag initial entry na sa AU na galing sa ibang bansa..
so incase na magbakasyon sa pinas.. eh wala ng hassle..
i think, kung sa records nila eh galing kana sa AU, eh possibleng nag pdos kana before, matagal na, at possibleng iba na ang passport mo ngaun.. so wala silang way para ma-track kung nag PDOS kana or hindi.. lol..

check mo ung naging post ni @psychoboy dito sa thread na to. katatapos lang kasi nila. Sabi nya half day lang daw. afternoon specifically ung seminar. around 2 hours lang naman daw ang inabot nung seminar mismo.
