@staycool hassle na ata eh maganda sana pero bihira lng pinoy here sa eastern suburbs. I tried before to get a flatmate when hubby was still staying in melbourne and ako lng here but 3 months passed no one was interested. It was cheap din and mas malapit sa city ang coogee tapos beachside pa but pinoys are more inclined sa west sydney.

@abc27 as soon as matanggap ko na ang VISA GRANT (hoping and praying very very hard for it), mga one month siguro from the last day of expected entry date ... i think that would give me enough time to process my resignation from my current work, look for a job online in Australia, and ipon ipon ng konti... ikaw po, when nyo po plano?

@li_i_ren mam, ask ko po gaano po kalayo ang mga places jan sa NSW?... where po likely ang mga big companies?... cheaper ang western Sydney as compared to the Eastern?... eh ano po yung nasa northern and southern?...curious lang po...

@staycool northern suburbs and eastern suburbs are beachside communities.. Rental here di baba sa 400 for 1 bedroom to 500 up for 2 rooms. Imagine if u buy a 2 bedroom house here..nasa 1 million aud na whereas sa western suburbs kasi mga 1 hr away na yan sa cbd and beaches a 4 bedroom house pwdi pa 500-600k.

Northern and eastern suburbs are just as expensive living in central sydney e.g. cbd. for those really fancy condos sa cbd nasa 1k up rental there sa cbd. but usually sa central the houses are small.

Southern suburbs is more of retirement living.. May beaches pa rin. But not much happening in terms of employment so people still commute to the city and such. Its about 30 to an hour away sa cbd:)


Sydney is generally a commerce and business city. Yan lang observation ko ha. Most of the pinoys i know here offices talaga work or medical like me.

Sa western suburb kasi u can find pa a flat nasa 300 for 2 bedroom and very decent looking... Here sa eastern or northern suburbs parang slum looking na yan or ur neighbors are white trash:( so our minimum rent is talagang 500 aud plus if u want safety. And western suburbs have the factories and lots of big box shops.. So maraming white collar work. Maraming pinoy here na working in jobs na di in line sa qualification nila but kasi happy naman sila and if converted to peso ok na rin ung kita kaya ayan.

The others naman cleaners ( the ate at work has been here 20 years she is a teacher back home and was actually able to teach here in sydney 20 odd years ago but her student threw a pencil at her and other stories...sabi nya d daw nya na kayanan yun nag office job sya after that pero d sya naka adjust ung being a cleaner na gustohan nya kaya 20 yrs na sya in our hospital as cleaner) , clerks sa coles for white collar jobs. We know a pinoy doctor working as caregiver here for 3 yrs na kasi d nya mapasa ung amc exam. But happy na rin kasi their kids are going to school here.

@shishi oo ikaw ung isa dun hahaha. weekends tau bka may work ung iba eh. ako wla p nmn work eh. tpos sa blacktown or city ??? d ako sure eh pero khit anu dun ok skin. basta may food hahaha. nga pla leave kau ng contacts para magkacontactan taung lahat. ung contact ko nand2 na sa discussion. =D gus2 k n magkaroon ng friends d2 ung tulad sa pinas ung may lakad d ko kc mafeel n home ang australia dahil sa ibang iba kc sa pinas. haha
