how to start living in Australia

hi! i just got a permanent residency visa through skilled independent.. i know no one in australia..i don't know where to go..i'll be going with my husband and my 5 and 3-year old kids..can anyone help me? i'm trying to look for a job first but it's hard to look for one when i'm still here in the philippines..

wow!! super congrats! galing naman. most people will advise you to go to seek.com.au to look for a job. or you may also want to check our jobspage here ( http://www.pinoyau.info/plugin/page/jobs ) for a more simpler way of searching jobs from seek.com.au. i think it wont be a problem kahit nandyan pa kayo sa pinas, since you are now a PR holder. good luck sa job hunting nyo. you may also seek advise from members in Philippines.com.au , mas maraming members dun kasi mas matandang website un kesa dito.

naghahanap pa nga eh.. i found one na taga-samin..bendigo, victoria pero sya..most probably, dun muna kami para may makapag-assist samin on how to settle..pag medyo ayos na, sk n lng kami lipat sa melbourne or anywhere na mas malapit sa job opportunities.. may suggestion ka ba where maganda stay?

I suggest Geelong, Victoria which is only 45 mins. to Melbourne by train.. actually i have a family friend staying there and they said cost of living is comparatively lower..
