Not sure how or what is the approval rate for parents. But for those having difficulty getting approved this might be an alternatively provided paying the amount is guaranteed approved.

@Admin Couldn't agree enough, dapat guaranteed yung approval considering na malaki ilalabas na pera and it's also a good alternative sa mga ayaw gumastos at umuwi every year (kung meron man) :)

most likely guaranteed sia, no reasons for rejection kasi the applicants even need to pay for private health cover. mas ok pa ung contributory parent visa for 42k at least PR with medical benefits.

hi po tanong ko lang po kung pwede ba isama ang parent sa PR application? dati kasi may nabasa ako na pwede, hindi ko lang alam if pwede pa ngayon.

Na-try mo na po itong current $170 for 2 years na stay?
How soon ang approval from the day you applied?

Hi @IslanderndCity , the quote that I initially quoted and which you also quoted came from this link > http://www.sbs.com.au/yourlanguage/hindi/en/article/2017/05/04/new-parent-visa-announced.

Base dun, I assume it's this visa which we also got our parent > https://www.border.gov.au/Trav/Visa-1/600-. 3 yrs visa daw pero can stay for 2 yrs.

However, sabi sa article nila $170 daw. For us we paid $135, which is the same as indicated for visa 600 in this link > https://www.border.gov.au/Trav/Visa/Fees.

We applied online and got the response in 15 calendar days. From the border.gov website, usually processing times daw are "*Processing times range from 48 hours to more than 20 days depending on factors such as peak processing periods in a particular location."
