To those who are interested with BP:

I’ve called ETEA today and they said that at the moment there are no intake dates yet. They are only taking Expression of Interest at this time, this is for Melbourne campus by the way. I’ve also asked if it’s gonna be 6mos but the staff told me that it’s still 3mos. It’s taking awhile because they’ve only received few EOIs.

For SCU, their First session for the Epiq program is already full (forgot to ask if it’s for all the campuses), the next session is on July.

For Deakin, there is only 1 intake this year, the start is in June. At the moment, there is no deadline yet. The course runs for 10weeks but may extend up to 14weeks.

Hi. I am also a nurse applying for a student visa in Aus. with the help of an educ.agency. I initially planned to have the bridging course pero the agent said mejo mahirap at matagal na process ang pag approve ng bridging. So I opted for the conversion since 1 year study lang siya. Is it true na after i finish the 1 year study pwede na mag apply for PR? Thanks

@princessbubblegum Hi, After you finish the conversion course, you will have to register as a Nurse with AHPRA. After that, you’ll have to have your skills assessment from ANMAC. Once you get a positive assessment from them, you will have to lodge your EOI and wait to be invited to apply for PR Visa. The only time that you can apply for PR is when you’re invited.

You are eligible to apply for PR if you have 60points and up. At the moment, medyo matagal yung dating ng invitations.

@Cassey hi thanks for the info. My target univ.is Deakin, starting on the process palang. waiting for the letter of offer. Mejo malaki po kasi ang money involve kaya i really need to check my options and make sure my magandang pathway. Thank you for replying

@ykcul_kcul Sa tingin ko pwede naman. Wala pa naman silang dates of intake. I suggest na you look into other schools as well para kapag nagkaaberya man sa isa, may back up plan.

@princessbubblegum Yeah, mahal nga ang Conversion ng Deakin. From Deakin din si hubby, Around $30k nagastos namin for the school fees including na yung DUELI. Have you estimated your points fror migration?
Pareho lang din naman ng docus ang ipapass either magBP ka or magConversion course. It’s just that with BP, you have to wait for your LOE to be given by AHPRA before you can enrol into the course. I think by Mid year na yung next na mga intake for BP. Another difference din is the visa, for BP because it’s a short course, short term stay lang din yung sa visa. With conversion, it’s a 1year course so more than 1yr yung visa.

Hello guys, ask ko lang, kasi nagpapaassist ako sa isang agent na affiliated sa school, according to her no fees naman at free, baka kasi once masubmit nya na sa school mag add sila ng additional as assistance fee? Or school ba usually ang nagbabayad sakanila? Thank you

Hi Ms. Cassey. A pleasant morning from Manila. Una sa lahat maraming salamt po sa thread/room na ito marami po akong natutunan. Ill recommend this to my friends na balak mgapply for student visa sa Aus. I have few questions po.

1.) Anu po ba maganda sa akin na program para makapunta ako diyan sa Aus and mas malaki chance ko maging pr. Ito po yung experience ko. Naging staff nurse ako for more than 1 year (half ay volunteer work, half ay under DOh program), 6 months ako sa community as nurse then meron din ako one year as clinic nurse. Then currently 4 years na ako more on social work, community development and public health.

2.) Anu pong area yung sa tingin mo ay mas marami opportunities? Adelaide or brisbane/gold coast?

3.) If makapasa ako ng ielts ngayon for student visa kukunin ko ba ulit yung ielts exam after two years if mgapply ako para pr if ill take a two year course.

Total experience mo po ay 1 year sa hospital, 6 months sa community, 1 year sa clinic as staff nurse. Then ngayon 4 years as development officer pero d maxado related as a nurse

Miss Cassey isa pang tanong. Anu po yung masasabi niyo sa masters degree in nursing? Anu pros and cons niya compared sa bachelors degree

@signalfire Hi, thanks for the appreciation. With your experience, pwede kang magBP (if your RN experience is within the last 5yrs) or conversion course. Kung gusto mo na mabilis matapos sa studies, then go for the BP. But if you don’t mind studying for a year, then you can do conversion course instead. Not one is advantageous over the other because both of these can lead to registration and PR application. Yung bilis ng grant for PR is dependent on your points for migration.
I don’t know anyone from those states so I’m not sure how’s the job market over there.
With IELTS, nasa website na you can use it for PR application as long as it’s undertaken within the last 3yrs prior to PR application.
With masteral, i think it can be costly but with that you can work fulltime. If you’ll be studying for 2yrs, you can get points for that. It would be advantageous if you’re lacking migration points. The only thing is, it’s risky because you won’t know what’s going to happen in those 2yrs, kung may changes ba sa rulings, sa immigration, etc. Mabilis kasi ang pagpapalit nila ng rules o policies dito sa Au.

@signalfire You just need 450 hours or 3mos of full time work for the BP, kung may time ka you can look for an employer I suppose. With Masters, I’m not sure what the entry requirements are.
