@macdxb16 nagsubmit ako ng incorrect info RE my siblings. Dapat sa “others” sila kasi yung family member na non-accompanying is yung dependent sayo and mostly it is either your spouse or child.

hi @downunder15 , ano pong gagawin to correct the error?

wow good for you @malt interested din ako about this. Kapag balik ko ng Adelaide try ko din mag inquire. Sana new rule nga ito at hindi lang nagkamali yung nag assist sayo hehehe. Kasi nabasa ko din sa website ng immi ay hindi entitled ng Medicare ang 489 visa..

Kpag 887 n daw po kmi mag renew lang daw po for color green card medicare.

Pwede po kyo pumunta sa centerlink office.
Pila po kyo doon para mkkuha ng priority number and form gor medicare.

@just.anotherguy Hi! Im here in adelaide now. I went to medicare office and asked about medicare for 489 visa, the lady that assisted me asked me to call a hotline that can surely answer my query. I called them up and was advised that 489 visa is not eligible for medicare unless already applying for PR, or the country of origin has reciprocal health care agreement. Baka sa QLD lang yun pwede? Not sure though. :-)

    PTE Writing Tips

For writing essay I used E2 language format and applying what I learned from Ielts. Sa intro, sa 1st sentence ni restate ko lang yung question using my own words. Then sa 2nd sentence if one sided lang yung question, I give summary of the reasons ( 2 reasons only). Example, if ang essay is about importance of computers (one sided), eto 2nd sentence ko. Computers are valuable resources as they (1st reason) aid in learning and are (2nd reason) used to communicate with others. Then sa 3rd sentence sasabihin ko para pampahaba-- In this essay, I shall discuss my point of view by giving points and examples about the topic.

Then sa 2nd paragraph, elaborate ko na ang 1St reason. Mga 2 sentences na magsupport sa 1st reason, like if yung 1st reason ko is aid in learning, expand ko ang topic by answering how computers aid in learning, etc. Usually yung reason mo convert mo by asking how, what, when, or who. Tapos sa 3rd sentence, I state examples. Pwede ka din mag add pa ng 4th sentence parang isummarize mo lang ang 2nd paragraph.

Sa 3rd paragraph discuss naman ang 3rd reason same sa ginawa sa 2nd par.

4Th paragraph 1st sentence conclusion, then 2nd sentence recommendation.

If 2 sided naman yung intro pwede mo gamitin yung nasa template like kina Heprex na samples. Then yung 2nd par yung kabilang side, then yung 3rd paragraph yung other side. Tapos same last paragraph.

If medyo nahihirapan ka sa mga ideas, research ka dito sa forum ng mga recent topics. Tapos based dun sa topic reasearch ka anong pwedeng maging points and reasons para may idea ka na ano ilalagay mo sa essay.

Ang key talaga sa writing is dapat marami ka ideas. If nahihirapan ka mag construct ng idea try to research as much as possible. Google mo yung mga common or recent topics on pte writing tapos may mga sample questions dun,, then research mo ano possible answers para sa actual exam may idea kana ano isasagot. Tapos dpat familiarize mo mga connectors (like moreover, therefore, for instance, etc) kasi mas mataas ang grade kapag medyo complex ang sentence na ginagamit mo kesa simple sentences lang.

For summarize written text strategy ko is to first get ano main topic. Then analyze what important points were given, may nangyari ba? If meron ano ang nangyari, kelan nangyari? ano at para kanino ang purpose? Usually kasi sa mga paragraphs naka detail lang pero yung point lang naman dun is parang dinedescribe lang yung main topic. If you can answer who/what, when, how and why about the topic pwede mo na pagdugtungin yung ideas mo thru connectors and form a sentence. If you will have multiple paragraphs, summarize mo muna per paragraph then summarize mo ulit lahat in one sentence

Another tip also in writing as much as possible do not repeat the same words. If you dont have much stored knowledge about synonyms okay lang. Practice and Research is the key. Kaya malaki ang help sa akin yung pag research sa mga common or recent topics kasi while practicing pwede akong mghanap ng synonyms then mas madali ko syang ma recall sa actual exam kasi nagawa ko na sya before. Tapos if meron kayong word na ma encounter na parang hirap kayo mag elaborate, google nyo din anong synonym or phrases na pwedeng same meaning ng word. Share ko yung nilista kong mga synonyms na possible na magagamit sa mga essay kasi minsan these are the topics commonly asked.

Hi guys, I'm from Melbourne and new to this thread. I've been looking into sponsoring my sister who is a med lab scientist, tossing between subclass 189 and 489-family sponsored. Few questions, #1. dapat ba related sa nominated skilled occupation ang requirement ng 489 visa na 12 months full time work? at #2. Is there anyone in this group that has also been family sponsored that I can personally get in touch with para mapagtanungan? Any response will be greatly appreciated. Thank you :)

Are you referring to the 12 month work for her to apply for 887 PR visa after 2 years of living in a regional/designated area? If yes, any work will do. If she qualifies for 189 why bother applying for 489? If 489 is the only option, go for the 489 state sponsored rather than the family sponsored one because the quota is very limited- expect for a long wait to be invited unless you have a very high points.

Hello po! May tanong lang po ako. Hindi po ito related sa 887, pero sa 489 lang. Nag-aaral po ako dito sa Melbourne VIC. Pero nakapag-lodge na po ako ng 489 ko sa TAS. Tanong ko lang po kung maapektuhan ba yung application ng 489 kung nandito pa ko sa VIC? Thanks.

Hi everyone, I just want to ask po if the $385 visa cost for 887 includes dependents or is it just for the primary applicant? If so how much are they charging for the dependents? Like in my case po I'll be including my wife and our 1yr old son in my application.

Salamat po sa mga sasagot :)

Good day, I would like to ask if allowed ba lumabas ng australia kung gusto ko mag transition from 489 to visa 887? Kasi po diba may condition na I have to stay in my regional area for 2 years? Or pwede syang incremental? Balak ko po kasi mag bakasyon from time to time. Salmat po sa sasagot.

You are allowed to take vacation and still can apply even exactly 2 years upon arrival. They will allow you max number of days within that 2 years to be away( pero never published ilan) pero pag excessive, you have to cover those days you are away ( i suspect mga 90 days allowed). To be safe, 730 days in australia before applying. I am out 10 days within that 2 years and applied immediately after 2 years at wala naman problema

Yes..self employment is counted..they will also check the amount earned to verify your # of work hours claimed.

God bless. :)

@Supersaiyan i haven't read much about 491. My take is always go for any visa that will let you work and live here. Pag naka in na just go with the flow. Worry less sa mga factors you can't control.
