    hello po mga ka forumers may question ako about qualifications ng aking education, lumabas po last May 10 ang result ng aking re assessment sa ACS ng ICT BA at sabi nila ito:

    Your qualifications have been assessed as follows:
    Your Bachelor of Science in Commerce from Centro Escolar University completed October 2001
    has been assessed as comparable to an AQF Bachelor Degree with a major in computing.

    So it means po ba na ang count ng DIAC sa points system eh 15 at hindi 10?

    Nominated Occupation: ICT BA

    Assessment: July 2014
    EOI created: Feb 2015 applied SS to NSW but failed (waited for year pero ayaw pa din)
    PTE Test: Took July 2015 failed
    Retake PTE Dec 2015: Passed
    Got invited Feb 2016
    March 22: :Paid visa fee

    anyway to answer your question, ang alam ko safe na yan to say you have 15 points. pero DIAC pa rin may final say kung ilan points i-award for qualification

    @cinnamon20 - yup. tama yan nga ang basehan ng DIAC to consider your points.. in your case.. bachelor's degree is 15 pts..

    tama si @batobats, opinion yan ng assessing body, in the end DIAC pa rin ang may final decision.. and in most cases sinusunod namn nila ang assessing body..

    uy swerte mo. depende kasi sa dami ng ICT units kung kelangan mag-RPL regardless of degree

    @batobats at @lock_code2004 maraming salamat sa sagot ninyo sa kasawiang palad kasi aabutan ko ang EOI parang nagpanick buying ang mga tao dito sa IELTS yung gusto na sched eh puno tapos yung susunod(June30) eh kasal ng kapatid ko so July na ako mag IIELTS .. Ang pagkakaalam ko kasi dapat 2 weeks before the exam eh mag pa sched ka kaso d pa umaabot ang two weeks puno agad tsk tsk.. sana nga icount ng DIAC ang BD ko kasi parang natatamad na akong umeffort sa IELTS eh pero no choice kailangan pataaasin kasi dun din ako huhugot ng points..

    Yep, kami ng college buddy ko, same school and course. Group A (bachelor's degree) sya while ako napunta sa Group B (aqf diploma). Tinanong ko ang ACS kung bakit, mababa raw GPA ko. Hindi rin ako naniniwala sa school sectioning.

    Hindi po ba basta may vetassess na positive result 15points n po yun? May masters degree po ako sa up diliman so 15points na po un diba?

    depende pa din sa DIAC, sa akin wala talaga nakalagay na AQF sa assessment letter ko. Sabi din sa akin ni ACS, "We regret to inform you that we cannot provide an opinion on your qualification." Pero na-qualify naman ng DIAC yung Bachelors Degree ko. Ang na-submit ko sa DIAC is TOR and diploma lang.

    akala kasi natin pag ang assessment is equivalent to AQF diploma, pero BS degree nmn talaga eh mababa ang points..
    So depende pa rin talga sa DIAC..

    Sa VETASSESS po ako, wala naman po nakalagay dun na narecognize ung degree ko, sabi lang "the qualification is at the required level"

    Pano po ba yan? Sakto pa naman ako 65 points. kelangan po talaga 15 yung makuha ko. :(

    Reply to @angel4ever: nung nagchange kasi ang points system last Jul2011.. sinabi nila na kailangan ng DIAC ang opinion ng assessing body about the educational qualifications..

    but then take the case of @batobats .. mukhang approve naman na kahit walang nakalagay sa assessment result about your qualifications..basta positive ang assessment.. ung ibang kasi like EA, they will include that statement about whether equivalent to BS, MS or PHD ka in their letter..

    in the end, DIAC still has the last say on giving the points.. so dont worry too much..

    Reply to @angel4ever: wala ka na ba ibang mapagkukuhanan ng points like state sponsorship? ganyan din ako dati, nag-aalangan kung ilang pts talaga ako, kaya kumuha ako ng nsw sponsorship... isip isip ko nun mabuti ng sobra kesa sa kulang... opinion ko lang naman :)

    Eto po breakdown ng points ko:
    Age= 30 (26 yo)
    IELTS = 10
    Three years work exp = 5
    Bachelors / Masters = 15
    State sponsorship = 5
    Total == 65

    Waaaah, possible po ba hindi ko makuha ung 15 pra sa bachelors/masters?
