Nice! So it's so different for each assessment body. This is insightful.

Guys, possible ba na magpaassess sa CPAA on education and skilled employment first before submitting the english test just for me to make sure na maccredit lahat ng work experience?

    Not really. That’s the pre-requisite

I'm not familiar with the process for CPAA as well, but I did my assessment with ACS without the English Test.

English Test result is not at all required with ACS. Assessment and English Test are independent of each other. They will only be BOTH required during EOI lodging.

    Just sharing.

Please be mindful that ACS is not CPAA and vice versa. Each assessing authority has its own requirements.

@hopefullyoz parang walang invite for Accountants last Nov 11.. but you are correct 95 pts last October.. and being offshore I think you can hit 90 pts only if you have maximum points for English, age, single/with partner skills PLUS NAATI CCL credentials. not to be a pessimist but I am less hopeful for 189. and unfortunately for SC190 and 491, the conditions or requirements are also not favorable to those offshore.. I am hoping though, we will get a chance under 491.

I don’t see why not. The 85 points out referring to is dependent on the occupation. Also, only 189 and 491 are subject to priority points.

@hopefullyoz what I mean for possible max points for overseas applicants is 95 so I would suggest you try to take NAATI CCL test so you can maximize it to 95 points..
For 491, actually may existing EOIs lang ako sa lahat although walang application so far sa specific regional areas.. TAS is open for 491 but I'm not eligible due to their current requirement of job offer.. For SC190 NSW, also not possible due to required to be currently living in Australia..

@Narudru sa Immitracker lang po ang reference ko at parang 1st half 2019 pa ang last invites for Accountants.. wala na rin gaanong updates sa mga kabayan na Accountant dito sa forum.. let's see if NSW is going to resume soon. although ang nakita ko may requirement na that you should be currently living in Australia in order to get nomination from NSW for SC190.

Sorry guys kung medyo off-topic. I just thought na maybe this will be in this channel for me to get the best answers as some of you will already be accountants in Australia.

I was just wondering if the sale of below property will incur Capital Gains Tax?
    1. Property is in the Philippines.
    2. Bought when it was pre-selling.
    3. Bought when PR was not yet granted.
    4. Not yet fully paid.

Thanks in advance for your help!

For Australian residents, CGT applies to any assets held anywhere in the world. This is irrespective of whether the Australian residents are individuals, partnerships, trusts, superannuation funds
    or companies.

I am not a registered tax agent, but the question is if you’re a already a PR when the sale of property was entered into. If yes, then CGT applies, otherwise.

@mom_of_2 @marchbaby it’s because my assumption a which I previously mentioned applies. Your qualification is only recognised as an AQF associate degree which is lower lever to an AQF degree. Hence you failed to meet the minimum requirement of having an AQF Bachelor degree and meeting the mandatory modules. If you would have been a CPA, automatic your degree will be recognised as an AQF bachelors degree but you aren’t hence the negative outcome, unfortunately.

Hi ReaMARN, i have the same case with MOM_of_2, where i got an unsuccessful outcome, which i believed due to syllabus issue, i have submitted course description only and a Stat Dec, declaring that these syllabus were no longer avaliable in our Uni due to change of program, yet i have got an unsuccessful outcome. BTW i am a PH CPA. appreciate your thoughts. Thanks a lot!

I can’t say much as I can’t see the whole picture. Double check with CPAA the reason why but I’m guessing it would have to be due to failure to submit the required documents. We’ve never had a case wherein a client couldn’t submit a syllabus. For some reason they were able to get one from their university.

Newbie here. Seeking for advise. I applied for skill assessment(no employment) for General Accountant even without having a PRC License. I received a negative outcome 'coz the assessor said because I am not a CPA. I submitted a TOR and my syllabus 'coz I thought they would give credit to it. But as my outcome result stated, I completed ZERO in both Mandatory and Optional Competency Areas.

Anyone had a case like mine? If you're in my position, what will you do?

By the way, my husband is the main applicant. The purpose of the skill assessment is for spouse points.

Salamat ng marami sa mga sasagot.

Curious po ako sa case nyo. nag gagather pa lang ng papers ko kasi for CPAA Assessment. Di ko mahanap kung na mention nyo aling school kayo? Di po kaya factor din yun?

Good day, all! Pa-advise naman the quickest solution to Syllabus. I submitted requirements to CPAA, including PRC exam results for CPA, but without Syllabus from my schools. They emailed back that I need to submit Syllabus before they can proceed with assessment. If I came from 2 different schools, should I get the syllabus of each subject from the school where I took it? Another worry is that I graduated 2004, so possibly these are not available anymore. Would it be better/faster to submit a sworn declaration instead? Thank you for your kind replies.

By the way, I'm applying assessment for Finance Manager, not General Accountant, as my chance with GA looks slim.

Hi everyone. Patulong naman po if meron kau idea of the following:
*How will I know if syllabus is required to submit or not? I tried asking my school about it, sabi nila unavailable na daw(16years ago).
*In the absence of syllabus, sabi sa guide, need daw ng detailed, personal summary of the relevant subjects. Pwede bang makahingi ng sample?
*As I understood, there are 3 assessing bodies for General Accountant. If you received a negative result from one of the bodies, can you apply again sa ibang assessing body?

Sorry, I really have little idea about it.
    Thanks po in advance.

    Hi @aicee ,

How were you able to proceed? I'm also being required Syllabus.

    Thanks!

Your second school syllabus is enough as they credited your previous subjects from previous school. So kong ano syllabus nila applies to other school. I was from 2 different schools din.

Been a while since I logged in here as I have been putting off my application for a visa 189.

Nasa Brisbane ako ngayon pero tourist visa lang for the holidays and will be going back to PH on the 4th of Jan... :( and yeah, part of my being here is to see kung ok ba to finally push through with the application. The answer is yes, life here is different... I'll end with that.

Two of my sisters are already citizens, one in SYD and another in BNE. Max score that I can get atm is 90 and based on the link for Dec 2019 round min is now at 100 points T_T which is quite disheartening.

Any chance of it coming down? Should I still proceed?

    Tenchu! :)

@batman @dakila78 I'm also waiting for SC491 but so far, offshore applicants can apply only for nomination if with job offer.. Rest of the areas open for SC491 are favorable only to onshore applicants.. I'm hoping they will still soon relax requirements for offshore applicants.

Hello po! Hingi lang sana ko ng guide for my CPAA migration assessment.

    1. Anong mga documents po needed ko irequest from my previous employers?
    2. Nakakuha na ko back in 2016 ng testimonial letter from my previous employers, my problem lang is yung signatory sa letter. No longer connected na sa company and nagmigrate na din sa Aus. Ask ko lang if needed ko pa magrequest for a new letter?

    Thank you.

Things may change in a few months, you’ll never know. If you’re prepared to take the risk and spend money on your assessment then go for it. Just so your documents are ready once changes occur (if they occur), by then ready ka na for EOI straightaway

@RheaMARN1171933 Aside from 189, I actually have existing EOIs for SC190 and 491 on all states.. all dated Nov 16 when we added points for my wife's English.. is it correct, no need to re-submit EOIs once these states start opening applications and we just need to apply for nomination on their respective websites using our EOIs dated Nov 16? thanks.

No need to lodge new EOI but you need to update it to match with whatever state/territory you’re applying for.

    Thanks all...

My brother-in-law is stepping in and will be talking to his lawyer about the migration. Not totally aware which route he's talking about but it's one which will not require me to take IELTS just the college credentials etc... hmmm so may skills assessment pa din, na mention nya that they (his lawyer) will need me to put in some changes on my job descriptions to cater that of the countries' format.

Will try to share progress soon... Just landed PH again, will do the leg work for the requirements na from my Uni...
