@kerlie what are you working as? how about your partner? Maybe he would be a better candidate. u dont necessarily have to be assessed as an accountant to migrate, pwede mo iconsider applying under other "Financial" related occupations assessed by VETASSESS. i suggest check mo list of occupations whether may suitable ba sa yo - http://www.immi.gov.au/Work/Pages/skilled-occupations-lists/skilled-occupations-lists.aspx

@Xiaomau82 i am currently a bookkeeper, my partner continued his study. My mother in law wants me to be a CPA para daw po mas madali kame maka migrate sa Australia , di na po nya makuha anak nya for child visa kc live in na kme for 4yrs. and we already have a daughter. kapag CPA na po b ko kelangan ko pa ng another 3yrs experience as an accountant here b4 pa ko makapag apply sa oz. Ang dame ko po tanong , hehe, thank you po ng sobra.

Risky move... Walang assurance na maging PR ka when yo have finished your studies and gain work experience... And it is expensive...

    Hi everyone!

So I’m preparing to prepare to lodge my VISA once I get invited and have some questions that may have been already answered in the past. Pasensya na if itatanong ko na naman ulit.

    1. What documents do I have to prepare as early as now? I’m planning to get my NBI/PCC already by next week. Can I upload that already when I lodge my VISA?

You can only access/ upload your IMMI account pag bayad kana ng visa processing fees. Scan all your CTC documents for uploading to IMMI account. Form 80 pwede mo na ma fill up. I-Google mo lang may template yan.

    2. What uploading tool do I use in the application/visa lodging – I read somewhere about ImmiAccount. How different is that from the Skillselect account used in submitting EOI? Should I transfer to that upon receipt of the invitation?

Yes Immi Account. Yan na mismo ung platform for visa applications and uploading of your documents. Makakaaccess jan ung CO. Ung EOI, its just a platform for visa invitations/ selections and ranking of points.

You can have access through it once magkaroon ka ng invitation. May link na ibibigay via email. Connected yan sa EOI kasi ung ibang informations dun, matransfer automatically sa IMMI account. Click mo lang ung link from visa invitation email, nalito din kasi ako jan nung una.

    3. In terms of VISA payment, do you have options of splitting costs? Like 2 credit cards to use or a combination of bank draft and credit card – is that even feasible?

Mukhang mahirap yan. Just use either bank draft or credit card. Ako nag overpayment nalang sa citibank credit card ko para mabayaran ung amount di kasi abot credit limit. Just inform your card company.

    4. When do you suggest I get my medical tests? I’m positive I’m gonna be able to process my VISA within the next 12 months so was wondering if taking the medical test in advance prior to the CO advice will speed up the grant.

After mo na maglodge ng visa.

Any help you would extend is greatly appreciated.

    Cheers!
It's a bit late as I got really busy but thank you for this. Enlightened me on a lot of things. God bless you.

@kerlie ang plan mo ba is to study in Australia or Pinas? As they all said, its a long process and yet wala ngang assurance na magrant k ng pr later on. Regulations change from time to time so its better to apply as soon as possiblr. If u r planning to study in Australia, may chance na u may attract employers while u are there.

Ang alam ko walang required number of work experience for cpaa skills assessment so ung number of years would depend kung ano ung total points mo na makeclaim. If u have sufficient Points kahit indi mag claim for work exp, then no need na.

    here is what i know..

    - i think hindi naman kailangan CPA to para ma-assess for skilled visa.. maraming occupation codes (na nasa indemand list of skills SOL or CSOL)

    - kung wala naman, then you really need to find other visa options.. perhaps taking additional courses or AU accountant certifications while nasa Pinas..

    - or Masters degree sa AU (very expensive), this will give you 4 years of post-study visa - na pwede gamitin magwork after mag-aral.. and also pwede mo na masatisfy ang requirements ng CPAA

wait mo ang replies ng mga accountant..they can correct me if im wrong.. ;)

Based from my friend's experience, ok na yung certified ng registrar for the syllabus.

Yung magiging basis ng CPAA is if na meet mo ba yung core knowledge na sini set nila for an accountant (regardless of what course you took back in college).

You need to complete all mandatory and at least five optional core knowledge areas:

    Mandatory
    - Accounting Systems and Processes
    - Financial Accounting
    - Management Accounting
    - Accounting Theory

    Optional
    - Finance
    - Auditing
    - Commercial Law
    - Economics
    - Quantitative Methods
    - Information Systems Design and Development
    - Taxation Law
    - Company Law

Yung magiging evidence mo is yung course syllabus mo. If hindi mo sya na meet lahat, they will require you to take a course with them to cover your deficiency. Being an accountancy graduate or a CPA is a plus, but is not an assurance na makaka receive ka ng favorable assessment if hindi rin complete yung ni require nila. If you have read through some of the posts, may mga sumasabit dahil sa theory of accounts kahit CPA sa PH. Please read yung mga FAQs. It will answer most of your questions.

    Hi @dapogi,

    Good day!

I just noticed sa timeline mo twice ka ngupload ng documents. Just wondering what those other documents you uploaded sa second batch and was this because the CO asked for additional documents? I just want to prepare ahead of time in case the CO will ask for more documents so appreciate if you can give tips or info on your uploading. Also for timeline monitoring purposes, what date ka exactly naglodge? If it's not too much to ask.

These are what I already uploaded by the way:

    1. Proof of Age (Colored Scanned Copy of Original Birth Certificate)
    2. Proof of English Language (Colored Scanned Copy of Original IELTS results)
    3. Proof of Skilled Employment (Scanned Copies of Original COE, Original Work Reference, Original Contract, Recent 6 months Payslips, CTC of CPAA Assessment)
    4. Proof of Qualifications (CTC of Diplomas and Academic Transcripts)
    5. Proof of Travel Identity (Colored Scanned Copy of Original Passport)
    6. Proof of Character (Colored Scanned Copy of NBI Clearance)

Do you think there’s any that I missed? If there’s any based on your application, please let me know.

I also uploaded mostly scanned colored copies of original and didn’t have them certified. Someone who already had a VISA grant advised me not to have them certified kasi parang original naman na sila since scanned sya directly from the documents. Do you think there’s a problem with this?

Thank you very much in advance for your response.

If there’s anyone here as well who can advise re: concern above, maraming maraming salamat!

    God bless us all! 

    hi @theaccountant!

Yes, I uploaded additional documents because the CO requested them, except the Form 80 which I front-loaded. And yes, if colored scanned sya, no need to have it certified. As for the documents, that's pretty much the same, except that I was asked to upload more payslips (uploaded 18 months I think), included PICPA ID and certificate and the board rating. Malapit na yan! God bless.

However, I was scanning this page and I read something about nadeny yung visa because hindi nirecognize nung CO yung years of work experience niya. Nag-paassess kasi ako sa CPA AU as an external auditor and based on the results, nakastate dun na may work experience equate to work at an appropriately skilled levelas external auditor. I claimed for 5 years kasi I started working Dec 8, 2008 to date but I stopped for 2 months when I changed employer. Pero external audit ako since day 1. Yung nakalagay na dates sa CPA AU is from 8 Dec 2008 to 17 Sept 2012 (Philippines) then 12 November 2012 to 4 February 2014 (outside Philippines). Medyo paranoid lang ako pero is there someone here who claimed for 5 years work experience as an external auditor na same ng case ko? Nirecognise ba ng CO yun? Sorry medyo worried lang.

Also, if I start applying for visa dun sa skillselect account ko, once I start ba I have to complete it on the same day? Pwede bang isave then submit later? Thank you.

Really appreciate this page. God bless us all! :)

    hi @Kithelpot
    1. Your CO will have the last say on your employment experience. As long as fully documented and related yung experience mo to your nominated occupation, no need to worry. Also, pano mo nasabing related yung case mo dun sa na deny?
    2. I think paranoia is common to all visa applicants. :)
    3. Regarding Skillselect, no need to rush in accomplishing. Check all the documents you will submit, because once you have uploaded it, you can no longer delete it.

@dapogi hi po. thanks for you response! :), i think paranoid lang po talaga ako. although sabi po kasi dun sa nabasa ko, she was denied kasi yung job description niya is related to another occupation not to the one she nominated. i hope it won't be the case for me kasi i nominated external auditor and yun talaga yung work ko since day 1. I hope yung job descriptions ko based sa COE ko from my previous and current employer will meet yung requirements ng external auditor sa AU :)

About po sa skillselect, I'm planning to have my medical kasi on 23rd of May. My visa application deadline pala is June 13. May nabasa kasi ako na I need to apply for visa first before I can go for medical kasi I need my HAP ID. Ok lang po bang istart ko na yung visa application ko while waiting for some documents pa? May save then submit later po bang functionality yung sa application for visa? or better igather ko muna lahat ng documents ko bago mag-apply? Please advice. Thank you!
