I just joined this forum, me and my family have a plan to move to AU as Skilled Migrant, me and my wife have been practicing as Accountants (CPA) for 8 years.
Can you please share your steps on how to apply as Skilled Migrant - Accountant?
What are our chances and how long will it take?
Thanks in advance.

If I assume that your age is between 25-32 years old, your point for age factor will be the highest at 30. If you are between 33-39 years old, you will get 25 points.
For english language ability, I will assume you got the minimum requirement of CPAA which is proficient english that gives 10 points in the points-test.
For skilled employment, I will assume that your 8 years working experience does not include AP and AR, you will get 15 points for that.
For qualifications, I will assume that you are a Phil CPA or have graduated from a internationally recognized standard university or college, you will get 15 points for that.
In total, you will have 70 points which is 10 points higher than the minimum requirement. That's already an edge for you. If you happen to be 33-39 years old, you will still get an edge with 65 points.
*PS: I am not an agent. I just based these statements on my personal knowledge.

Hi Sir, to answer your questions. Thanks again. What are steps we need to take?
how old are you and your wife? i'm 30, wife is 28
how's your and your wife's english language ability in terms of speaking, writing, reading, and listening? - my assessment is we are good in English because of our nature of work, we work in multinational companies constantly conversing with non-Filipinos
how many years have you both been practicing accounting? what are your and your wife's working experiences in accounting? each has 8 years experience in accounting, i had 4 years in public accounting (audit firm), my wife had 5 years. Then we moved to private companies. My private practice is with multinational company- finance/general/management accounting. While my wife's private practice is outsourcing/back office of audit firm from other countries.
what's your and your wife's highest educational attainment? where did you both graduated? are you both Phil CPA? we both have bachelor's degree in Accountancy and both CPA, I'm from UP, wife from UST
Your chances depend on skilled migration points-test. You can visit the links on my signature.

Only 3 steps for us accountants who passed the points-test.
(1) Take and pass the PTE Academic exam (http://www.border.gov.au/Lega/Lega/Form/Immi-FAQs/how-can-i-prove-i-have-proficient-english)
(2) Get a successful migration assessment and skilled employment assessment from CPAA (http://www.cpaaustralia.com.au/become-a-cpa/migration-assessment)
(3) Submit an EOI (https://www.border.gov.au/Busi/Empl/skillselect)
*PS: I don't recommend IELTS anymore. http://pinoyau.info/discussion/4233/pte-academic

1. When is the best time to get NBI clearance for abroad? Before lodging EOI or I have to wait for the ITA? I am here in Saudi.
2. I have been working here is Saudi for four years and as per the req of this visa I have to get Police certs., Maybe anyone is working here abroad, Did you wait for ITA or you can start getting the police certs from Saudi/foreign country even before lodging the EOI?
3. Did you go to NSO branch certify the NSO marriage and birth certs of all members including in the application or You just scan it color copy and no need for certify true copy?
4. For the credential assessment from ICAA, TOR and Diploma certified already but I have no syllabus. Did you get certify true copy of your PRC certificate? How about the ratings and syllabus of Phil. CPA exam Did you get certify true copy po ba?
With regards to syllabus my school doesnt have one. So I sent an email to ICAA if I can use my US CPA rating because I passed US CPA but no CPA status since I did not met the experience requirement and below is their response.
"If you have completed all the exams for US CPA please provide the transcript from them and this should show that all exam requirements have been met. You will also need to provide all academic qualifications relating to your Bachelor Degree (transcripts , degree certificate etc). Please note that all documents need to be certified as to their originality before being scanned through to us with the application form. Hopefully this will be sufficient to complete an assessment without the need for the syllabus information. However should we require further information the assessor would then contact you."
What is your thought on this? Maeexempt kaya ko sa syllabus requirement if I can submit my US CPA rating. I can send them the original copy since I do not have a certified copy.
5. Certificate of employment - In my COE, It is clearly indicated the position I held, printed in the letterhead of company, duration of employment and signature with stamped of our HR manager. In their requirements, they need the information about our job description and salary. How did you do guys? Did you contacted your previous employers to give you a new COE to satisfy the requirement of PR 189? Did you submit the certified true copy as well?
6. Passport - Are they need certified copy or merely a scan colored copy?
7. Tips for IELTS and review materials please send to my email [email protected] hehehe.
Thank you so much sa mag share ng experience nya.

4. PinaCTC namin and pinasa sa CPAA yung TOR, Diploma, Result ng CPA PH Exams, at iba pang certificates.
Cheers Mate!

Hellow po mam salamat sa response nyo. Very informative for me and for others that can read. I have some follow up question lang po to clarify certain things.
EID stands for? So the saudi police certs I can start getting it after ko makakuha ng positive result sa IELTS. Yun NBI valid naman po xa for a year di ba?
Scan copy colored will do so para sa DIAC for passport, Birth & Marriage cert.
additional question po, what if wala akong credit card can I pay DIAC gamit ang credit card ng kaibigan?

IED stands for initial entry date.
I suggest Bro mas okay po na kunin ang Saudi PCC a little bit earlier maybe during EOI period po and ang NBI after nalang po mainvite kayo for Visa Lodging or kapag nakapgvisa Lodge na po kayo.
Sa NBI after a week meron na result then dinala ng friend po namin ito sa DFA for Red Ribbon tapos yun po pinadala sa amin via DHL ulit I think it took us 2.5wks lang for the entire process.
Worth naman yan lahat kaya no worries.
Regarding Credit Card not sure about that question. Maybe someone po from this forum pwede din makapgshare ng experience po nila about using a friends CC sa pagpay nila ng Visa.
And about sa report of birth not sure po pero kami po ni hubby both NSO Birth po and NSO Marriage ang binigay namin kay DIAC sorry bro wala pa kasi kami kids gagawa pa lang sa Aussie hehehe.
Cheers Mate!

I will just ask ICAA kung pwede ipa certify sa Embassy of Jeddah tong mga to pati mga COE ko. Anyways I have only 4 COE mga SR 400 pala yun hehe. grabe naman tong embassy na to. Ah pinapared ribbon pa pala yun NBI?
Di ko pa plan pumasok sa Aussie agad work mode muna dito Saudi apply online bago pumunta ng Aussie so okay lang na matagal pa yun NBI ko. CPA din kayo like your hubby?
Nagexam pa kayo ng IELTS? Kasi pag walang IELTS wife or less than 6 need magbayad ng additional SR 14k bago mabigay visa.
Tama kayo all this paghihirap is bawi naman kasi for better opportunity ng mga anak. Australia can offer better environment to them and great opportunity.

Spot on! Australia can offer us and our kids a better environment and great opportunities. Umpisahan na Bro ang process tiyaga lang talaga and madaming dasal and for sure makukuha mo din yan Golden Email from AU.
Cheers Mate!
