    @skyline - full assessment po yata ang 19weeks na sinasabi nyo.. si @batobats only requires Points Test Advice for his educational qualifications..

    but if you can seek advice from a professional agent or someone who has the case with you.. you may be able to save few hundred aud.. ;)

    @Lock_code:Yun nga nalilito din ako kung kukuha pa ng points test advice.Sabi dun Vet optional pero yung binayad ko kasi sa Vet is Full Skills Assessment (GSM with Points Test Advice) na fee 670aud.Tapos sa assessment result ko,naka indictae dun kung ilang years lang credited sa work exp. ko plus yung companies na inasess nila.i don't know if this will suffice:(
    Hay ang gastos ng vet hehe.Tapos another waiting time for me kung request ako ng PTA

    @skyline - i guess ang hinahanap ng DIAC is you statement about the qualification (diploma/bachelor/etc). if that is written as part of the assessment, then that would be enough...

    so meron bang ganun sa assessment nyo?

    sa mga nag Vetassess, sa qualification nyo po ba pinadala nyo pa yung primary and secondary school diploma? Meron kasi ako na-fill-up na form tapos may details ng Primary and secondary pinadala nyo rin po ba yung as part of evidence?

    may friend ako na visa 176 na recently na-approve same scenario as me, hinde siya hinanapan ng points advice from vetassess. ano po sa tingin nyo?

    kaso ang difference namin is with state sponsorship sya na 5pts na wala ako

    and if the rest is the same sa kakilala mo.. i guess pareho na rin un..

    Hello Everyone,

    I am not sure if this has been discussed before but I really need to get some help (insights) on the Educational accreditation. I am a graduate of Civil Engineering from a Section 1 school. Pag ganun ba, I still need to complete an assessment with Engineers Australia or does that automatically qualify me as an engineer? I hope someone who had the same/similar experience share some light top my inquiry. Thank you in advance for your respons(es).

    @mark If you're claiming for points for a General Skilled Migration Visa and you want to be given points for the occupation you have nominated, you need to have your skills assessed as suitable for your nominated occupation before you apply. This is a separate requirement from your work experience/overseas education qualifications. :-)

    Points are awarded for:

    • overseas employment;
    • Australian employment;
    • professional year;
    • educational qualifications;
    • Australian study;
    • Credentialled community language;
    • studying and living in regional Australia;
    • partner skills;
    • State/Territory government nomination; and
    • Designated Area sponsorship.

    Yung 10 points, bka you are referring to overseas employment na 5 years to less than 8 years, tama ba? :-)

    Ay! Salamat sa information. So if I get assessed by an authorized agent, it just helps me get the approval from immigration but does not translate to points?

    Dati kasi may points kapag sa SOL or MODL da ti yung occupation mo. Since na implement na yung madaming changes mula 2008 e tinanggal na nila yung points na yun. I remember dati nung 125 points pa yung passing may 20 points ka pag nsa In demand list yung occupation mo sa DIAC and 60 poitns for the assesment pa lang. Iyun yung times na medyo madali pa yung application for immigrant sa Oz.

    @batobats Question lang bro. Ano ba yung indicated na qualification sa ACS assessment letter mo? Comparable sa AQF Bachelor ba o AQF Advanced Diploma? O meron bang ganun yung sa iyo? Sa akin kasi may naka-indicate na "Your Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from [this university] is comparable to an AQF Advanced Diploma with a major in computing. Baka kako iba yung judgment ng DIAC sa assessment body regarding sa degree (asa pa ako).

    @Metaform wala nakalagay na ganyan sa kin. problem ko yan dati pa kasi hinde makapagprovide ng opinion si ACS since hinde ako IT grad at wala din ako IT minor subjects. ito tanong ko & sagot ng CO.

    Regarding overseas qualification, are my transcript of records and certificate of bachelors degree sufficient as evidence to meet the 15 points requirement?  Yes these are sufficient
