@altuser41 Thanks Altuser41...I'll try that if all else fail, sana nga lang po banks do keep a record of all transaction history from past few years as it was around 2008, tawagan ko BPI for that...Grabe ang bilis ng RPL mo po...I just want to ask po about the details of RPL...Anu pong mga details ang hiningi sa inyo? Kc if it took only 550AUD vs the 38k PHP na i'll spend for Cisco, then it's quite better, kung ganun din kakaltasan nila ung experience ko (sadly mukhang 4 years lang ang magamit ko for EOI after the 6 years deduction).

Nyek! pareho lang assessment result ng ICT Support at Sys. Ad. 6yrs. 5mos. exp. credited. AQF Associate Degree for educational qualification. Advantage lang nito pwede na kaming mag apply sa ACT once na mag open yung SS unlike in Oct. where NSW SS will open pa. Mas may chance ma invite ang tulad naming 60pointers kung earlier mag apply ng SS kesa to wait for Oct. NSW SS. IELTS result pa waiting kaso 8.0 OBS talaga. Sana okey ang result :-S

Advantage lang nito pwede na kaming mag apply sa ACT once na mag open yung SS unlike in Oct. where NSW SS will open pa. Mas may chance ma invite ang tulad naming 60pointers kung earlier mag apply ng SS kesa to wait for Oct. NSW SS. IELTS result pa waiting kaso 8.0 OBS talaga. Sana okey ang result :-S

(FYI) ACT processing time po is 5-6 mos na. Sorry, not sure if applicable to all to, but my friend received this back in May na all applications received after 17 feb 2014, ang processing time is 5-6 mos.

@Xiaomau sir, okey lang yan. Tingin ko nga na update na processing timeline ng ACT. Hindi ko lang ma post ang link nka celphone lang ako. Busy yung laptop. @raiden14 sis, yes...same set lang din ng COE. Yun lang din nman job resposibilities wala bago kaya yun din ni submit ni hubby sa ACS. Dati pa open Sys Ad nkita ko. Kaya lang parang nka closed pa sya sa bandang baba, sa mga closed job code ko yun nkita pero wag ka mag alaala bka mag open din ang Sys Ad sa ACT kung magka ganun nga pwede na rin kmi mag apply, hehehe. Yung NSW kasi sa case nmin Oct 14 pa yun nanganganib ang tulad nming 60 pointers kasi bka mapuno tapos 65 at 70 invite. Nakupo....goodbye! Oz dream mag 45y/o na si hubby by next year aabutan kmi pag ganun. Lord Jesus, we are still waiting for your best hope this will be. Waiting for your answer God [-O< Its now or never ang case nmin

Guys sorry sa multitagging ha..Just want to check with you guys if you know anything about anybody here who was a tech support rep (callcenter) who was able to nominate another job title under SOL/CSOL and got a positive response from ACS. If you know po pamention n lng po ng name and kung anung job title ang pinili nya sa SOL/CSOL. Thanks guys sa help sobra!

I have a non i.t. degree which is Accounting, but I already have 7 years of working experience sa I.T. field (SAP Consultancy). I am thinking if pwede na po ba ako mag pa assess sa ACS?

@enayam16, yes po. On top of basic requirements, RPL applicants need to provide a project report to demonstrate IT knowledge gained from work as well as application of the said knowledge.

Gus2 ko lang sana malaman if they asked you to accomplish anything or prolly a checklist if you don't mind...

@coachella9, you can now apply for a skills assessment via RPL. The chance of getting a positive result relies on the documents that you will present to ACS.

Under RPL, ACS will require you to have 6 years of working experience, beyond that 6-year period is when you can claim for points as skilled employment.

If you have 7 years now, that would mean you have 1 year of skilled employment as of the moment and based on the points table, you will not be entitled to claim points under the 'Employment outside Au' criteria.

Malamang ito rin yung way ko to claim points for education (By the way ilang points na earn mo for your VETASSES assessment, was it 15 points?). Sobrang maapreciate ko if you can share the procedures you've gone through (Thanks in advance).

Oo parang ayaw ko na umasa sa skill points. Tingin ko kailangan bawiin talaga sa IELTS, State Sponsorship at Education points.

Sorry wala akong kilala. pero i think its a matter of how u write your reference letter. yung course mo ba is ICT major? Kasi kung hindi, mejo mahirap ialign plus u need to do the RPL.

@Xiaomau82 - BS Computer Management po, kaso I wasn't able to finish the last trisem (1 month) ng degree ko which includes most of the ICT subjects that ACS might consider, though meron din in the past sems na natake ko...Unfortunately, the course got dissolved somehow by CHED and when I checked with my previous college if there's anyway for me to finish the degree with those back subjects, they said that they have restructured the curriculum for the course and I would have to take more subjects in it which would prolly take me another year to finish it. I'm considering getting the Cisco/Microsoft certs to cover up for that kahit medyo costly. Anyway po thanks so much for taking the time to hear my endless rantings hehe

Hi,

Humihingi po ako ng advice nio. Last year pa ako nagbabalak na magsimula at nakapagsimulang nagtanong palang kasi lito din ako kung anong assessing body ako mag paassess. Anyway, isa sa mga expert ang nag advice na dito sa ACS ako. Makapagbigay lang po ako ng description ko po, at I hope for your advice.

Comp Eng po ako, nag work ako sa pinas ng 10 years, more on software/desktop support lang po ako. Pagdating ko dito sa SG, napunta ako sa Industrial Controls (Controls engr/Automation engr), 2 years na din ako. Bale ang skill set ko sa SG job: system integration, application development (SCADA), basic networking, industrial protocols, controller (PLC) programming, instrumentation, basic electrical, etc. Bale eto po yung IT side ng mga ibat ibang planta, gas, petrochemical, pharma, HVAC.

Binasa ko yung ANZSCO code, swak naman ako sa Software & App programmer at Software engr. Inaaalala ko lang yung 10years kong previous experience kasi di yata akma sa mga napili ko.

At kung bigyan ko man ng pansin ang 10 years na experience ko (ICT support engr), hindi kaya maapektuhan ang maaaring pag aaply ng job po jan kung sakali man?

I would appreciate for your advice.

@enayam16, Maraming questions at dapat yung sagot mo ay detalyado. For confidential info, ok lang kahit wag mo na ideclare (client name, client address etc)

If u take the certifications now (MS or Cisco), ang pagkakatanda ko sa case ng asawa ng friend ko, ung date of work experience recognised was after nung MS certification nia which is current, walang difference kung mag RPL ka. Pero yun nga lang atleast u don’t need to work on your RPL na. Pero kung enough namn points mo and u dont need to claim points for work experience, ok na din kesa gumawa ng RPL. hehe.
