    @aristle hehehe i can relate with you. Pag nakalabas ka naman ng audit, hahanapin mo naman ang maging busy. Ako, 3 months pa lang sa finance pero sa totoo lang bored na bored naman ako haha. Andaming oras nagugugol ko sa internet sa office ngayon hehehe.

    @aristle Tama! Kahit ano nang work, kaya natin yan! Pinoy tayo e! :D Sabi naman nila kahit Big 4 sa AU, mas relax naman talaga.. Excited nako dun! haha

    @ImB Mazars po kami nagwork sa SG.. :) Suggestion kasi yun ng agent namin, mas malawak daw kasi yung scope. Tapos suggest nga din nya na hindi ipaconsider yung work ko sa SGV kasi daw para conservative ang approach. Pumayag naman kami tutal kaya namin sya kinuha as agent e para sa mga ganung strategy.. Naging ok naman sa awa ng Diyos! :) Matagal din po processing namin.. natagalan kasi sa pagkuha ng docs sa school. Question po, pwede na ba magpaassess sa CPAA kahit wala pang results ng IELTS?

    Hi @ImB ! Feeling ko madami naman lurker dito na EA, hindi lang gano active.. Iniisip ko nga baka busy! Lol

    Naku baka mahulaan mo kung sino ako pag sinabi ko firm ko! Haha.. Mid-tier firm based in France ako for 4 years then SGV sa Pinas for 2 years. Hubby ko same firm sa SG then PWC sa Pinas. Gusto ko na nga din totally lumaya pero bahala na pagdating sa Sydney.. Hehe..

    My wife was with Isla circa 03-08 before she joined deloitte in Singapore from 08-09.

    Kailangan ba ung makaseven in all sections ka kahit sa taking of cPa aussie? Wala nmn cya sa requiremenr ng CA aussie ahh..alam ko unh 7 band if yan ung magaapply ka for migration

    @catajell expanding ang audit dito sa Melbourne mainly due to subs of foreign companies kaya hanap sila ng external auditors. Yes, may oppprtunities in October kasi kelangan nila ng tao for half year audit. For volunteer work, you can just search volunteer work in Seek or Google and madami lalabas. Aussies, in general, have high regard for volunteerism and you'll never know who you might bump into during your time there.

    To get your foot wet, at the start pwede cguro ang 9PM but after a while you will realise that life is unfair... Australia ka na nga, ganyan pa din. Not unless of course babayaran ka 1.5x/hours on the first 2hrs and 2x/hr on the succeeding hours then ayus lang! :)

    But yeah, for local experience, why not... :)

    @TasBurrfoot, meron po ba kayong idea how much yung approx range ng salary ng external auditor dyan, say for example Senior Auditor?

    @ImB - sorry I have no idea on that... If you want, tingnan mo sa Seek - look for a particular external audit opening and afterwards toggle with the salary range. Makikita mo doon ang range of the offer for that possible job.

    I don't think that's everyday, maybe 2-3 days a week during busy season. It must be a good 6-12 -month gig while getting local experience. Not bad really!

    @Bigfoot Kelan ba ang busy season dyan? Normally for how many months? Sa SG kasi, parang walang slack season.. Halos tuloy tuloy ang busy season buong taon unlike sa Pinas na hinahabol kasi yung April 15 filing. Kelan ba ang tax filing deadline sa AU?

    May kilala yung ex-colleague ko na pinay who worked in EY Brisbane, Senior 3 position salary is 90k+/annum + package (inclusive of super 9%) year 2011.

    Ang fiscal yearend kasi dito is June so i would think busy season is around July to September. Pero syempre may mga half year audit and reporting pa in between. Sa SG kasi masyado sila concerned sa utilisation. I was told that auditors here can be lax during the slack season and the partners won't sweat it if you have low utilisation during the slack season huwag lang nman NIL. You can consider this route kung gusto mo ipenetrate ang local job market.

    Depende sa company din cguro. May friend ako working as finance manager dito sa sg microsoft medyo malaki ang pay nya hehe
