Relative Sponsored EOI Question

Hi mga Sir/Ma'am, quick question lang po sa mga nag submit ng EOI for Visa 489 na family/relative sponsored this year. May nakatanggap na po ba ng invitation? Nag submit kasi ako last feb pero hanggang ngayon wala pa ako na receive na invitation. Matagal po ba talaga siya? Inip at kinakabahan lang siguro ako hehe. Salamat. Goodluck po sating lahat.

alam ko priority 3 ang subclass 489 e. Sa mga makakabasa na pareho ng sitwasyon ko, tatanong ko ren po sana kung eligible ba maging sponsor as uncle ang first cousin ng mother ko? Napakageneric kasi ng nkastate sa immi.gov sa eligibility ng "uncle-nephew" sponsorship.

If ever, kaya ko naman mkapagproduce ng family tree at birth certificates ng mother at uncle ko with the name of their larents appearing on each birth cert.

If you have a relative living in a ‘Designated Area’ who is willing to sponsor you, he or she will need to be
an Australian citizen, permanent resident or ‘eligible New Zealand citizen’ (see page 5). You or your
partner must be related to your sponsor as:
• a non-dependent child or non-dependent step-child;
• a parent or step-parent;
• a brother or sister, step-brother or step-sister;
• a niece or nephew, step-niece or step-nephew;
• an aunt or uncle, step-aunt or step-uncle;
• a first cousin; or
• a grandchild or step-grandchild.

@cnel_26 yes po, nabasa ko yan kaso pasok ba sya as uncle? or first degree lang? Dami ko na kasi forums na bnasa pero wala ako makitang magsusupport ng claim ko

@danz1213: In my case, kapatid ng tatay ko ung pwede magsponsor sa akin kaya lang mas eligible when it comes to work ung tito ko. MAy idea ka ba sa case ko? Ilang months ang wait kung sakali? Thank you-

Pakiclarify yung "kaya lng mas eligible when it comes to work ung tito ko"... Naguluhan kasi ako hehe. Pero kung kapatid ng tatay m ang magsponsor syo, basta masatisfy nya yung requirements being a sponsor, e palagay q eligible sya. Yung sa case ko ndi aq sure in terms of blood relation, although uncle ko sa sya culture ntin ndi ko naman alam qng recognized sya as uncle kung first cousin sya ng mother ko.

Yup nasa EOI na ako currently waiting for invitation. IELTS at assessment yung mga documents na pinasa ko nung nag submit ako ng EOI.

Hi danz! Ung tito ko kasi na husband ng tita ko ang may permanent job. Tho may work din ung tita ko (kapatid ng tatay ko). Pero dahil sa sinabi mo na basta masatisfy ung requirement being a sponsor eh palagay ko eligible na rin xa. Thank you sa link.. read ko ito while I am preparing for my ielts.

Yes sir sponsored din, sa ngayon ang hiningi ko lang sa kanila e yung letter na nagpapatunay na sponsor nila ako. Tas kaylangan nila ipa certify yung letter sa sherif, police officer, attorney, judge, etc.

Hindi pa, alam ko gagamitin lang siya pag mag lodge na ng visa (correct me if i'm wrong). My form sir yung letter, andun sa australian immig website yung form.

Hi po ask ko lang po kung ilang minimum years ang kailangan nang sporsor na mag stay sa isang designated area before sya pweding mag sponsor nang relatives? Thanks po.

@Agchangcoco : Hindi ako sure kung ilang years ang dapat meron ang sponsor. But you can read Booklet6 on page 6 : For some categories you must be sponsored. A sponsor is a relative aged 18 years or over who is an Australian citizen or permanent resident or an
Eligible New Zealand Citizen and is prepared to sponsor your application and
who undertakes to assist the applicant, to the extent necessary, financially and
in relation to accommodation for a period of 2 years.

Ay sorry hehe. Yup pwede, pero dapat pag dumating yung invitation from EOI na pwede na mag lodge e may mapapakitang letter from your sponsor

The relative or the relative's partner you want to sponsor must be your:
child or stepchild
parent or step-parent
brother, sister, adoptive brother, adoptive sister, stepbrother, step sister, niece, nephew, adoptive niece, adoptive nephew, step niece, step nephew, aunt, uncle, adoptive aunt, adoptive uncle
grandparent or first cousin.

As with other visa I noticed that sponsors are only up to 3rd degree of consanguinity, so I don't think your mom's cousin will qualify. Take note thought for visa 489 you still have to go through English & skills assessment. And honestly I'd take visa 489 as a last resort since it's only provisional for 4years & will also limit you to the area where your sponsor lives.
