    bit confusing, for u have said u already have a job offer and ur saying there is a possibility a company will offer u a job. Anyways, i will try to answer ur questions;

    - it depends on what type of visa u are applying, but in general most of them needs ielts, meets the required points or being invited to lodge application

sila ba mag apply sa visa ko, what if employer magsponsor?
    - normally ENS visa such us 457 are being processed by the employer, a company lawyer or migration agent will contact you to provide the necessary requirements. Medical exam is only X-Ray. But the company must be eligible to sponsor you under 457 visa, with proof that there is no available talent in the local market and the ur occupation should be in the ANZSCO list. Yes for 457 ielts is now a required.

    457 Visa
04-02-13 Got a Call from Australia (tru LinkedIN) while in PH
    07-02-13 Panel Interview in Singapore
    18-03-13 Hired / Waiting for 457 Visa
    12-04-13 Lodge Visa 457
    26-04-13 Medical Done (Davao)
    08-05-13 Visa Grant!
    17-06-13 First Day of Work!!!

    186 Visa
27-07-15 Informed and Asked Company for Sponsorship
    15-10-15 ENS 186 Visa Lodged

Hello po! Newbie here. I am still taking baby steps towards migrating to Oz. And I badly need help po. Focus ko po now is taking IELTS. After that, di ko na po alam ano susunod ko gagawin. Or what visa to apply. Kasi the more I read about visas, the more confused I get with what visa would suit me. Estimate ko lang po nasa 65 or 70. Inassume ko nalang po ielts ko. Hahaha

Anyways, may questions po ako and I would greatly appreciate po any helpful replies.

    1. What visa would suit me? I want to work there and possibly live there. Nasa darwin po cousin ko. I am a guidance counselor and psychometrician by profession.

    2. San po ako magpapa-assess ng skills? And may bayad po ba toh?

    4. Step by step procedure po sana after taking IELTS and in God's grace, pumasa. Ano po next gagawin?

    5. Should I opt to study there instead? Nagsearch na po ako about tuition and parang suntok sa Mars po sa sobrang mahal. T-T

Calling any kind soul. :)

    Thanks po ulit.

    Hi @Jobibee,

I will try my best to answer some of your questions. Though in my case we opt to get agency to help us and guide us. But a lot of members here they did DYI and successful in getting their VISA.

    1. You can try visa 189 if you can get 60pts or opt to visa 190 state sponsorship if you are lacking points let's say you only have 55pts then you need State sponsorship to give you another 5pts. Like in our case we go for visa 190 kahit puede kami sa 189 kasi nasa ceiling na yung nominated skills namin di na sya puede sa 189 at sa july 2015 pa sila magaaccept ng invites. IN short ayoko magaksaya ng panahon so nag 190 na kami.

    2. You need to research on this part, for IT sa ACS kami and we paid 25-30k pesos

    4. Kung wala ka agency kailagan mo talaga magbasa ng maigi :) Pero pansin ko IELTS lang ang pinakamadugo so if I were you magpaassess ka muna mabuti kung kaya mo ang 60 points and focus muna sa IELTS

    5. Why get Student visa if QUALIFIED ka naman for skilled migration. kasi alam ko sa student mabilis nga pero dadaan ka din sa same process to apply for visa 189 and 190.

Before i can answer all your questions, 1st you need to know what nominated occupation is applicable for you. Check http://www.immi.gov.au/Work/Pages/skilled-occupations-lists/sol.aspx or http://www.immi.gov.au/Work/Pages/skilled-occupations-lists/csol.aspx

You can check the tasks for each occupation under http://www.immi.gov.au/Work/Pages/asri/asri-index.aspx

technically, u dont require a migration agent but that depends if confident ka about your knowledge sa migration otherwise you will be wasting your time and money preparing for application which later on will be rejected kasi mali ung ginawa mo.

In my opinion, u need to do more research and magbasa ng mga forums. legislation and migration policies are vastly changing nowadays, u need to be aware of the changes and be updated.

@grant512 thanks po sa reply! I've been reading a bit on immi.gov.au. and migration agents are mentioned here and there so feel ko mas convenient nga kung meron. Tanong po ulit, how much po? Mahal po ba masyado ? And if you have a migration agent, will they assist you all throughout the process and not ask for additional fees everytime?

@Xiaomau82 hi po. Thanks sa reply. Yeah, I need to research pa more about migrating to aus. I had everything printed pero di ko pa nababasa lahat. And about migration agents, di po talaga ako confident with what I know so far. If after reading, di ko pa rin gets, siguro ico-consider ko na talaga ang MA. Depende din po kung kakayanin ng budget. Hehe

    Thanks again for the kindness!

@jobibee . the DIBP does not NOT require you to hire a migration agent. do you need it? well depends on your case.

if you dont have time to read, study and understand all the requirements then i suggest you hire one.
BUT dont expect them to fill out a form for you, tell you what to answer on certain forms, help you with passing an assessment, IELTS or even writing stat declarations.

Also, be aware of what 'services' they will offer. Be clear and accurate para walang misunderstanding lalo na yung regarding sa availability nila.

A friend hired an agent for $3,000, his visa fee is $1,800. So you get an idea how much they'll cost you.

Jan 2007 - Arrive in Aus as 457
Mar 2013 - Plan, review, read and understand visa requirements
Apr 2013 - ACS assessment submitted
Jun 2013 - ACS assessment received
    Aug 2013 - IETLS pass (General 8.0)
Aug 2013 - ACT SS submitted
Aug 2013 - Created EOI account
Aug 2013 - VETASSES assessment submitted
Sep 2013 - VETASSES assessment received
Sep 2013 - ACT SS received
    Sep 2013 - EOI Submitted
Sep 2013 - Visa invite received
    Sep 2013 - Visa application submitted (190)

mejo mahirp tlaga at first, but im sure you'll get a hang of it eventually. :) once alam mo n ung occupation na iapply mas madali mag research. this site is useful as well www.anzscosearch.com anjan na halos lahat once na figure out mo ung occupation. from skills assessing body incharge, state nomination, pati mga tasks under the ANZSCO. :)

Hi everyone, just got my RN registration in Australia last Monday and applied for modified skills assessment last Tuesday. They say it usually takes 12 weeks or more. But when I talked with an ANMAC staff last Newcomers Event here in Melbourne, she said that their current timeline is 10 weeks BUT can go lesser to 8 weeks this season and not go more than that. If by all means, the decision is made by end of June, should I lodge my application immediately before June ends? Or should I wait for the new financial year to come which is July? I am keen to apply for 189 visa po. Narinig ko po kasi na mabilis kapag new financial year na.

Kung maghihintay po ako ng July, what else can I do? Paano po yung EOI at skillselect? Salamat po.

In my personal view, the earlier, the better. The EOI skillselect selection/invitation process itself takes time..invitations are issued based on the highest ranking scores, and then the time the EOI was submitted. After you get an invitation, you have 60 days from the date of invitation to lodge your visa. So, I guess, at least put in your EOI the earliest possible time. :)

Thank you for answering.

Automatic ung selection and invitation process. Usually, if 65 points or higher ka e malaki chance mo na ma-invite agad (since highest ranking points are invited first). Nung kami, since 60 points kami, 2 invitation rounds ata lumipas before kami na-invite, hehe.

    Hi everyone! I am also nee here... I have several questions i hope you could answer them. I have read the process of applying for a subclass visa 189. I also have been assessed by a consulting agency to be eligible for the said visa if i got a 7-8 score in ielts. So my question are;
    1. can i apply even if my relatives will not sponsor me or there will be additional points given to those with sponsorship?
    2. I have 3 kids. Will this be a factor for me to land a job? A cousin of mine told me that zero tolerance dw ang au s mga may anak??
    3. I am a secondary teacher, is it possible that i could get a teaching position also in au if i would be given a state license? Sang state ba maraming teaching positions available?
    Thank u for your responses...

@bytubytu Husbnd ko ung rn. :) Yung waiting time mo pala for an invitation would depend on the # of EOI submissions din sa time na nagsubmit ka and also ung occupation ceiling (pero no problem for RNs kase mataas ceiling value)...And after an invitation round, ngrrelease sila statistics kng ilan ung na-invite sa last round; andun din ung cut-off date (Visa date of effect) which is un ung kung saan nagstop ang invitation for those na nka-score ng 60. So dito mo mggauge kung malaki chance mo na ma-invite for the next round. Nung kami we waited for a month before makareceive ng invite kse mdami kami kasabay na 60 pts din. All the best! :)

Be careful of using term College, I think they use the term 'college' when it only offers diploma, certificate or vocational courses..

Sa pinas, college's have bachelor degrees as part of their curriculum.
