    hi everyone, bago lng po ako d2..my husband applied for 457 visa.and 1 of his requirements is to take an IELTS exam..is it really difficult? give me some tips nman and reviewers. thanks guys..

    thanks aolee.. mahirap ba talaga ung test,my husband is an OFW and do not have enough time to review..he will be coming this july13 and his IELTS exam is on july21..do you think he needs to enroll in a review centers??

    Reply to @farahalexa: kung maruno po kayo mag-torrent search nyo lang po sa torrent sites mga IELTS reviewer, madami po lalabas.. sobrang dami baka maoverwhelm si hubby. hahaha..

    pero suggestion ko po practice test lang po nung Cambridge 1-7 nasa link na nipost ni @glaiza1210.. sobrang ok mga reviewers dyan.. then read nyo nga po yung thread na ito from page 1.. marami mga tips.. ;)

    As much as it's tempting to read as many reviewers as you can. I would suggest mastering one before moving on to other materials.

    Iba ibang style kasi bawat libro at baka sa dami ng inaaral niyo pag exam na, hindi niyo na alam ano yung gagamitin. Mabuti na yung kahit isa lang ang aralin niyo pero kabisadong-kabisado niyo na yung method :)

    what is the difference between academic and general training?? will idp allow my husband to change his type of IELTS exam from academic to general training????

    Academic is slightly harder than the General Training Tests in terms of the Reading and Writing Exams.

    Usually para sa mga mag-aapply ng student visa or mga nasa field ng pagtuturo, nursing, accounting ang Academic...The rest should fall under General Training.

    Kung nakapag-apply na kayo ng exam date, mabuti po sigurong tawagan niyo ang IDP kaagad para masolusyonan yan. Naaalala ko kasi may disclaimer sila sa form na responsibilidad ng applicant yung pagkuha ng tamang exam. Good luck!

    Agree rin ako dito. Siguro stick to 2-3 reviewers lang. heheh Yung ginamit ko ay yung kay Simone Braveman (Target Band 7 ata) tska yung 101 tips to IELTS lang. Tapos practice lang ng practice sa British Council for half a day. :-) For writing, ung ielts-blog.com is highly recommended. Pero I think before you move on to practicing, daanan muna kahit mabilis ang basics (which is yung 2 reviewers na namention ko sa taas). Unfortunately for me, derecho na ako agad sa mga blogs etc bago ko naaaral ung 101 tips. hehehhe

    Tska makinig tayo kay @LokiJr, alam ko mataas score nya sa IELTS hehe :D

    Reply to @bachuchay: sa SMU po ako nag-exam. dun din po ang Speaking test ko. actually....wala ngang pahinga e. 12:30pm natapos ang written exams tapos jackpot 1pm ang binigay na schedule ng speaking exam ko. pagod, gutom at kaba ang nararamdaman ko bago ang speaking test. hahaha

    Hello po sa lahat. I just want to tell po na nakuha ko na results ng ielts ko today and i got the band score that i needed, much more pa po.

    Speaking 7.5
    Listening 8.5
    Reading 7.5
    Writing 6.5

    I only neede po 5.5 OBS and it far exceeded my scores.

    To God be the Glory!!

    I hope lahat po ng mag take ng ielts makuha ang score na tinatarget nila, just believe in GoD's presence. He is always with us.

    @hotshot at stolich: Maraming sakamat po. Student visa lang po inaaplyan ko, 5.5 lang po hinihingi ng university sa sydney. Nag self study lang po ako, nag enrol ngapo ako sa 9.0niners kaso isa lang po napuntahan ko na review sa kanila, unlimited pa nman po kinuha ko. hehehehe.
