Here's my tips na mga kapatid base on my experience:

Speaking: Concentrate as much as you can. Don't mind the noise in your background or else mawawala ka sa concentration. Continue to speak even if you have committed a mistake (don't panic). Try to avoid fillers like amm, uhm, err as much as possible.

- Read Aloud - practice makes perfect
- Repeat Sentence (same with write from dictation of listening part) - what I did was to take down first letters of the words in the sentence, eg. You can find the science section behind the english section of the library... Y C F T S S B T E S O T L
- Describe image - try to take with you vocabularies beforehand - yung mga introduction tips ni @filipinacpa helped a lot. familiarize yourself with kinds of graphs. source of graph that you can see. rephrase the description of image in the exam. continue to speak lang.
- Re-Tell lecture - take down important notes (practice din kayo ng mga exercises from you tube or from BBC news or CNN.). you don't need to write everything - yung mga topic sentence lang ok na then expand mo na lang. Also take with you sample introductions para dudugtungan mo na lang.
- Answer Short question - dont answer ASAP. think first kasi minsan the questions are tricky.

Writing: Essay writing: follow the IELTS rule na 3 7 7 3 or 3 5 5 5 3 sentences.

Intoduction: 3 sentences: Topic Sentence. Discuss topic Sentence. This essay will look into the arguments for and against topic sentence.

Body: 1st para: 7 sentences: (+) or (-) side
2nd para: 7 sentences: (+) or (-) side

or
1st para: 3 sentences: (+) or (-) example, 2nd para: 3 sentences (+) or (-) example, 3rd para: 3 sentences (+) or (-) example

Conclusion: Topic sentence. Your side. Conclusion.

Summarize Written Text: Try to write 60 - 70 words.

Reading: Don't take time sa isang question. Try to practice and practice again using Macmillan.

Listening: Concentrate.. Practice ulit using Macmillan.. Try to watch English movies and iwas muna sa Tagalog films and serye. hehehe

Always double check your spelling minsan kasi we type ng mabilis tendency is nagbabaligtad na mga letters natin.

my wife is excited to take her 2nd PTE exams here in Melbourne at least it will her second time around ...plus factor for her kasi familiar na siya sa exams area at last time 9 lang sila nag exams pero ang iingay pa rin lalo na ng mga boys....

@nedz: no sis. Parang nakalagay sa instruction 50-70 words.gamit ka ng mga conjunctions para mapahaba mo yun sentence.

Hi Guys!

Newbie here! Atlast naconfirm na ni pinoyau ung membership ko. I've been reading this forum for 2 years already and now lang nasimulan our AU dream. Si hubby ang applicant. Ako lang siguro ang mahilig magbasa sa forum coz I'm a housewife. Done na kami sa ACS and positive yung result. Sobrang kabado lang kami kasi si hubby is a software tester and nagtry lang kami if suitablr sya for software engineer. Hirap kasi if software tester hindi sya included sa SOl so need pa ng nomination. Thank God suitable ung result and he graduate from DlsuD and We can claim naman 15 pts kasi major in computing. Now we are in step 2. He's about to take PtE on August 20 here in Makati. Self review lang with my help since ako ung mga nagbabasa ng forum then I just sent him the link tapos review here sa house after makatulog ni baby. Hopefully makapasa. Di pa sya nakakapagielts so let's see if swertehin. I just want to take you guys for all the reviewers and experiences shares in this forum.

Right now its difficult to book a test, because test location in Ortigas is temporarily not accepting test takers. It means more time to review.

@g_whin Bright Center is temporarily close coz they are looking for a new office location and they cant be contacted anymore. So sad, don't know when they will be coming back. Its easy to book a test in Bright before. But with Pearson Makati, they only have limited seat available.

Hmm, wala yata discount sa practice test?

I have unused Scored Test A and B (Gold Kit). Hindi ko nagamit kasi excited mag take ng exam. hehe, gusto ko ibenta for 1,500 na lang. Any takers?

I've failed in IELTS 2x due to writing then failed PTE 2x due to speaking naman. Hoping to get it right on the 3rd time.

Hello! I've been following this thread for 2 days, dahil dapat OET ang iboobook ko since I failed IELTS 2x already because of writing. Ang target ko sana na exam date for OET is this coming july 27 although fully booked na dito sa melbourne and they were asking me to take it on Aug 22 pa. I've searched PTE vacancy sa exams since 3 ang sites dito sa CBD meron ako 2 weeks para mkapag prepare. Is it worth it to bank my shot sa PTE since it's cheaper and less ang time na kakainin sa akin or go sa OET na twice ang amount ng fee and matagal pa ang exam and results.. I'm really confused lalo ko naconfuse ngayon na nagstart ako mag review using the mcmillan ang hirap nia haha medyo naka prepare nadin kasi ako sa OET LOL.
