This is on a case by case basis - I know someone whose boss was called by DIAC.

Hello! meron ba dito may experience on having assessed by CPA Australia with bank operations as work experience? I have around 6 years of experience in bank operations for international investment banks in the Philippines. Hoping this would be considered as related to the general accountant profession.

@aikee888 - what type of work?

if it is settlements, baka hindi...

but if you are talking about PnL reporting, Basel Reporting, and basically all other types of reporting - BAKA pwede.

Ang alam ko regardless of school basta kapag ang assessment ay comparable to Bachelor's degree ay 15 pts. Kapag diploma nmn ay 10 points.

Equivalent naman to Bachelor's degree yung in-award sa akin.

@kristine_1377 and @orange11, the assessing authorities looked into the degree and its merits and not on either school name or if you are a cpa - the latter btw is not recognised in Australia. the basis of the points are the docs submitted like diploma, tor and syllabi. but of course, sending your cpa cert and cert of rating are fine to go along with your other docs.

@pangrom0529 @cpa_oct2011 thanks. I only came into that conclusion because my assessing body asked for my cpa credentials and specifically stated in the assessment letter that my education from the school plus license from PRC made my qualifications equivalent to an AU bachelor's degree.

Hello po. Ask ko lang po pag nakalagay sa letter na "The result of the assessment is that you are not academically suitable for migration under your nominated occupation." May pag asa bang i-appeal to? Kasi di nila inaccept yung Business Law ko. In 2011, I took the Business Law exam to pass the Foundation Level. Kinulang ako ng 1 point (parang IELTS lol) kaya di ako pumasa. Eh isa sya sa mandatory competency areas na dapat icomplete. CPA Australia po ang assessing authority ko. Sana po may makapag advise. Thanks.

@Nedz naipasa mo ba yung exam ng Business Law? wala bang ibang option na sinabi na kailangan meron kang kunin na course para maqualify ka sa assessment?

Nag tatanong lang po, balak din kasi namin mag pa assess... soon.

Nag tatanong lang po, balak din kasi namin mag pa assess... soon.

@glitch88 Hindi ko sya naipasa. Kinulang ng 1 point. Naloka ako sa "not academically suitable for migration."

Tapos dun sa next line after ng negative assessment nakasulat "Please note that all decisions relating to eligibility for skilled migration are the discretion of the Dept if Immigration and Border Protection."

Sa mga nakarecive ng negative assessment ganito din ba ang nakasulat sa letter nyo?

Tapos nakalagay din sa letter na "You have the option to fulfill the competency areas...

Grabe namn kung irerequire nila ako na itake yung Business Law. 4-6 months na preparation ang kelangan ko before magtake ng exam. Katatapos ko lang makalagpas sa PTE tapos eto na nman. Kung sino man po jan na may same case at naging successful after mag appeal. Pahingi namn ng advice. Salamat po.
