If anyone knows a similar situation, I hope you can share your thoughts/experience. Aug 17 ako ngapply for 189 visa, Oct 2 CO contact asking for forms for my husband. Til now no update.

Dahil nakakaburo maghintay, napapaisip ako bakit ba sila natatagalan sa application ko. Hindi naman ako nag claim ng points for work experience so ang naiisip kong cause e ung NBI clearance ko. I got married in Australia early this year pero hndi namin nafile ung marriage namin sa Phil Embassy sa Perth Australia dahil andaming requirements for a foreigner to marry a Filipina. To add to this, British husband ko e so we needed to get more forms from the British embassy e inaasikaso ko pa Engineers Australia at IELTS at work ko nun so pinagpaliban ko nalang.

Fast forward to August when I came home sa Pinas (naiwan sa Perth si husband para tuloy trabaho) and I lodged my 189 application. That same week nagpamedical at kumuha ako ng NBI clearance. Sa online form ng NBI iaask kung married or hindi, then if married I aask ung name ng husband. So ako naman una kong linagay married pero problema automatic na nauupdate ung last name ko with my husband’s last name. Sa pinas kasi when a woman marries, automatic naiinherit nia ung last name ng husband. Sa ibang countries optional lang un you can keep your maiden name if you wish. E lahat ng forms ko pati passport at sa visa application maiden name parin ginamit ko dahil hndi pa nmn ako ngpapaname change. So I consulted NBI and sabi nila technically single parin civil status ko sa pinas until the time I file my marriage cert sa embassy or mgpakasal uli kami sa pinas. So by their advice kumuha nlng ako ng NBI clearance under my maiden name, un nga lang ang nakalagay sa civil status e “Single”. Technically tama naman sa Pinas but do you think this is causing some confusion to my CO? If gusto nila ng clarification they should have asked nung first na kinontact nila ako diba? I don’t know how I could let them know of my situation, kung anong form ififill up or if it really matters ba.

@perthling, your CO will contact you if you need other requirements. For now hintay ka lang dyan. Do something else to occupy your time. Don't submit anything that will make your CO dig for more questions.

@perthling malapit na po yan. As long as wala na po hinihingi si CO sa inyo parating na po ang grant. Ung friend ko po it took her 4 months from the time of lodgement, July 8, bago nakuha ang golden email last Nov 10.

@perthling: Hintay-hintay ka lang and make yourself busy muna. If no other requirements are required then you're just waiting for the GRANT. You'll never know pag hindi mo gaanong iniisip tsaka darating like what happened to me.

Basta lagi mong samahan ng dasal.

Registration ID. Make sure na ok lahat ng info sa eoi, kasi naka auto fill yung sa lodgement, meaning lahat ng nasa EOI mo ay magrreflect. Saka para ndi na mag form 80 pag may mali. Hehe

dont worry, SIS/ BRo, di ka nagiisa... di pa rin ako nakakatanggap ng result up til now. However, my agent emailed me that she already sent an email to the case officer to get the finalisation of our application. so we are just waiting for the grant. God bless sa atin. congrats sa lahat na may Grant na.

hello guys

sadly after 4 months, wala paring balita ang visa application ko. My husband called DIBP office, and once ngemail rin ako sa CO. both times ang reply lang e under processing and if we need more documents we will contact you (which they never did ask for more docs). Now usually napapahaba lang ang visa processing if they do background checks, and since i didnt claim any points for work experience, tingin ko ang snscrutinize nila ngayon ang character assessment ng husband ko.

On the last day of visa invitation validity, hndi pa dumarating ung UK PCC ni husband so ang linagay ko lang sa visa application form e ung mga alam ko which is battery and damage to property. Alam kong my drunk driving charge siya pero akala ko dahil traffic violation un hndi kasama sa convictions. Anyway pagdating ng UK PCC niya two weeks after visa lodgment inupload namin un and nung hiningi ng CO ung FORM 80 niya sinulat ko lahat ng convictions niya dun pati ung drunk driving.

My husband's convictions/cautions/warnings list a bit long pero feeling ko hndi pa naman pang criminal na mgcacause ng visa rejection. Handling stolen goods, battery, sending false message that caused anxiety, disorderly behaviour, damage to property at yung drink driving. Pero nung nguusap kami ni husband about these things last week, nasabi nia na nung unang visa applciation niya for working holiday visa hindi niya dineclare na may convictions siya at all kasi un ung sabi ng migration agent niya nun. Na hndi naman daw significant no need to declare. Naturally sa incoming passenger card niya hndi rin niya sinabing may convictions siya.

I actually emailed this to my CO. Mas mabuti ng samin manggaling kesa makakuha nalang kami ng rejection email. E kaya lang wala pang email so eto nangangatog sa kakahintay. Ano tingin niyo guys? Has anyone heard of a similar case before? Acutally mas natatakot pa ako dun sa fact na hndi siya ngdeclare ng convictions before, kesa dun sa mismong convictions kasi sa UK kumembot ka lang ng onti mapaaway ganyan irereprimand ka na kagad ng police at bibigyan ng caution or warning. Anyway I would really love to hear your input. Also thinking of getting a migration agent just to get professional advice. If anyone can recommend a MARA agent dito sa Quezon City or Manila i'd really appreciate the recommendation. Thanks
