@OZwaldCobblepot once you receive the bank details, pwede ka na magdeposit.. yun nga lang, mawithdraw mo lang yung pera kapag na activate na yung account sa au branch mo..

@OZwaldCobblepot actually umabot hg halos 3 weeks sakin.. finallow-up ko pa un after the 7th day kasi sabi one week lang processing.. nag apply ako jan 20, nakuha ko welcome kit nung feb 5 na.. super dami raw nila pinaprocess na applications ngayon..

@jrgongon madedeposit niyo po siya thru the swift code that they gave you. I hindi po clear eh patulong po kayo sa bank teller niyo on how to do it. Please be reminded na mawiwithdraw niyo lang yun once na activate niyo na siya pagdating dun and do online banking as well. For the activation you have to set an appointment with them kung saan ang pinakamalapit para sa iyo.

@vamdcpa di ko pa nainquire and na try hehe pero if I remember it right, I read someone from here din na nakapag try ng fund transfer sa NAB nila via BPI.. lagi ko nakakalimutan tumawag kay bpi para mag inquire.. hehe..

other option is via XOOM. Mukang $10 fixed yung service fee nila regardless of the amount you will transfer. With the rates, not sure kung ganun ka competitive nga.

Or I am thinking kung bibili nalang talaga ako ng AU dollar then later on pag dating ko sa australia tsaka ko na ideposit sa bank ko. Di naman lalagpas ng AUD10,000 ang bitbit ko haha

@filipinacpa Thanks! Naginquire ako with BPI. Mejo may kamahalan pala because of Doc Stamp Tax. Not sure if I'm willing to pay that much. Haha!

We will have to rethink our strategy, baka nga dalhin nalang namin at dun na ideposit.

Question po, I know 10k ang limit ba you may exceed as long as ideclare nyo. But what if kasama nyo ung secondary applicant nyo sa byahe, pwede naman hatiin na lang ung dalang cash between the two of you diba para di mag exceed sa 10K? Just wondering lang kung may gumawa nito just in case dalin na lang namin instead of opting to wire transfer it. hehe

But what if kasama nyo ung secondary applicant nyo sa byahe, pwede naman hatiin na lang ung dalang cash between the two of you diba para di mag exceed sa 10K? Just wondering lang kung may gumawa nito just in case dalin na lang namin instead of opting to wire transfer it. hehe

If you really want to bring more than $10k cash pwede naman - just make sure you will clear this first with immigration in PH. There is a process for this and just do the paperwork.

In Australia naman, just make sure you declare that you are bringing more than $10K.

Added paperwork but pwedeng pwede ito - of course there is always the risk that you will lose the physical cash but that is another story.

@TasBurrfoot mahirap magdala sa airport ng pinas ng more than 10k..wala na me tiwala..lalo na ung mga tanim bala..tapos pag natsempuhan pa ng tanim bala edi paktay na...kikikilan na tayo lalo na at alam nila na malaking pera ang dala...sasabihin isa pa tayong sindikato...hay...pilipinas talaga...citibank na lang na bank open tapos withdraw pagkalapag na pagkalapag

@jrgongon mahal yung rates ng citibank if peso to aud (citibank payroll account ko dati). nagcompare kame sa pagwithdraw citibank vs bpi - mas sulit pa rin bpi kahit may extra charge per transaction.

@furano problema lang sa bpi mas mahal ang selling rate nila ng AUD. try nyo hanap kung san pinakamaganda exchange rate.

@furano may peso account ka ba sa bpi? kung peso kasi ang mangyayari ay convert muna sa aud using their rate tapos telegraphic transfer to au bank.

@engineer20 meron pero nakapag exchange n kasi ako ng aud nung nag down ilang weeks ago tapos pina time deposit ko 35 days. tinanong ko nun kung magkano ung rates ng money transfer/remit (d ko alam kung may diff) sabi sa akin pwede na raw yung aud na pina time deposit ko

@furano ah pwde pala yun. yung TD ko kasi na aud sa bpi balak ko handcarry lang. sa SG ako bumibili ng aud kasi mas maganda rates compared dito sa pinas. natry mo na maginquire sa money changers? baka mas ok rate nila kesa sa banks. minsan mas ok din bumili ng usd kesa aud kasi mas maliit spread ng bank sa usd unlike sa aud.

@engineer20 not sure pa a, tanong ko pa uli sa ibang branch para sure haha. medyo nag alangan kasi siya nung sinabi yung pina time deposit yung gagamitin ko pang transfer. kasi nung una binigay niya sa akin aud rate pa nila tapos sabi ko yung pina time deposit yung gagamitin ko sayang naman napa convert ko na e haha balitaan kita

yup sa czarina ako bumili ng aud nun mas mura siya kaysa bdo/bpi/metrobank pero marami pa akong nakitang mas mura sa manila (malate area) pero natakot ako magpa exchange dun hahah inisip ko baka mahold up agad after kunin ung pera

actually parang ayaw ko muna bumili ng AUD ngayon. Grabe ang mahal niya. Nagmamahal pa siya.. haha.. mag mura nga kaya to in the next 2 weeks? Kasi kung oo, dun nalang ako bibili.. if not naman, as soon as possible na dapat.. sigh

@jrgongon ah not sure if may au dollar account yung citibank philippines. yung akin kasi before payroll account siya so puro peso, tapos nag withdraw lang sa sydney nung na short na ng funds. yung kasama ko naman bpi payroll account niya. Nung nagcompare kame, mas ok yung bpi account compared citibank
