Hi guys,

i just wanted to share my predicament here, baka may makapag advise sa akin regarding ACS skills assessment process.

HR only gave me a standard employment reference. andun naman lahat ng details like start/end date, salary, work hours (full time), bale ang kulang lang is yung JD since hindi rin sila nag bibigay ng detailed JD.

I managed to get my manager to sign a document with the company logo stating my JD. his contact number is also there just in case ACS tries to contact him.

My question is, should I upload BOTH documents to ACS site? Would they be confused since I uploaded 2 references (1 from HR and 1 from my immediate manager)?

I'm trying to avoid the statutory declaration route as my manager is based in Manila and I'm based overseas. Getting him to sign with a lawyer would be geographically impossible.

Need your inputs.. thanks!

Bigla naman akong nag worry because I also have a bachelor's degree in computer engineering. Pero ang skill na balak ko i-nominate is software tester.

Good morning guys,

Almost complete na yung requirements ko for ACS assessment, CTC nlng ang pending.. now I have to choose if I should apply for Software Engineer (261313) or Software Tester (261314).

Any software engineers or software testers here who can advise? Gusto ko lang sana malaman if ano ba talaga ang work experience ng isang software engineer compared to software tester since sobrang similar sila ng JD as per ACS page.

BTW, computer engineering graduate ako and i have almost 6 years experience in software testing. 1 year automation, then almost 5 years na sa manual. Naisip ko lang na mas ok ang software engineer dahil d ko na kelangan ng SS..

Meron po akong mga question regarding sa application. Hope someone out there can help me. THanks in advance!

1) Regarding sa TOR and COE (previous employer), kelangan po bang magrequest ng bago?
Yung TOR ko kasi dated 2011 and the COEs date 20011 and 2013. OR ok lang na luma yung ipanotaryo?

2) Regarding sa notaryo. All document should be notarize right? Pero kelan yung CTC and anong mga documents yung kelangan neto?

3) Regarding sa Statutory Declaration, kelangan ba kasama ko yung pumirma ng Stat Dec ko sa pagpapanotaryo or photocopy of Identity will do?

4) I graduated in Mapua and completed my BSCS course in 3 years (dahil sa quarter sem), considered as 4 year course pa din sya diba?

5) I've been working in IT since 2006 pero iba iba yung roles. Programmer for 1 year, Tester for 2 years and Functional Analyst (SAP) for 7 years. Malaki kaya yung chance kung 261313 - Software Engineer yung kunin ko?

Example:
1) Company 1 - Role is QA but Position is Associate Software Engineer
2) Company 1 - Role is Functional Analyst but Position is Software Engineer, Senior Software Enginer and Systems Analysts (3 positions before ako umalis ng company)

Question: Pwede bang isang Manager lang yung pumirma sa Stat Dec since isang company lang naman lahat ng role na to? TIA!

*For your current employment sympre you need the most current, TOR dated 2011 is fine. As well as COEs that are old as long as it still complies with ACS' specifications.

*Yes as per ACS lahat ng na i-submit sa kanila ay nka 'Certified True Copy'. What you do is photocopy docs & then yun yung mamarkahan ng 'Certified True Copy'. Then scan it & submit online.

*That really depends on the Public Notary if he's fine w/o presence.

*That depends on ACS, as long as nandun naman ung subjects related sa nominated occupation mo I think they will still tag it as Bachelor. Mapua is section 1 school as per backreading malaki yung chance for Bachelor.

*ACS will look at your job description not really on your title. Open the guidelines & try to check what best matches & preferably yung ms mtgal na experience so you have a chance at getting employment experience points.

@richmondkv If money isn't really a problem why not apply for Software Engineer (261313) ? If result is not favorable then you can send an application again for Software Tester. GoodLuck.

Hi guys,

Question lang on behalf of a friend, naka receive kasi yung friend ko ng ACS result na sutiable kaso parang 2 years lang yung na credit for ICT business analyst.

Yung work experience nya na nya binigay is:
Date: 07/08 - 09/10 (2 yrs 2 mnths)
Date: 11/11 - 10/15 (3 yrs 11 mnths)

Ang naging result is considered lang daw is after September 2013. So around 2 years lang. Parang di nacredit totally yung first work nya.

Question ko is
1) May effect kaya yung 1 year na gap from first work experience and second work experience?
2) May nakapagtry na ba yung review process na nadagdagan yung experience? Balak kasi nya na magpa review and magdagdag ng documents for yung first work experience.

Pahelp naman po.

@gmont I dont think may effect yung gap na 1 year. Marami rin kasi factors pa at play.. Na-assess na bachelor degree po ba? Anong tinapos na course? Anong nominated occupation?

Ang minimum number of years of deduction ay 2 years at yun ay kung na-assess na bachelor degree, ict major yung course, closely related sa course ang nominated occupation.

Mas marami usually years sa deduction (at least 4 years sa nababasa ko so far) kapag na-assess na diploma o kaya ict minor yung course o kaya not closely related sa course yung nominated occupation.

All my documents are already certified, ready na ako mag apply sa ACS.

Ang question lang regarding ACS.. plan ko kasi is mag apply muna ako sa online site nila before mag bayad thru international transfer. Pwede bang gumawa na ako ng account ngayon, at mag upload ng documents, then next day yung payment thru bank transfer?

Can you guys share your experiences regarding payments to ACS?

@gmont I dont think may effect yung gap na 1 year. Marami rin kasi factors pa at play.. Na-assess na bachelor degree po ba? Anong tinapos na course? Anong nominated occupation?

Ang minimum number of years of deduction ay 2 years at yun ay kung na-assess na bachelor degree, ict major yung course, closely related sa course ang nominated occupation.

Mas marami usually years sa deduction (at least 4 years sa nababasa ko so far) kapag na-assess na diploma o kaya ict minor yung course o kaya not closely related sa course yung nominated occupation.

@nolwe na assess naman na bachelor degree. BS Management Information Systems and ICT Business Analyst yung nominated occupation. Ganyan din kasi yung course ko and yung nominated occupation pero dun sa friend ko parang 4 years nabawas. sa akin 2 years lang.

kaya nagtataka din sya. baka kulang din yung nabigay na docs nya for the first job kaya hinde sya nassess for that.

ok kaya magpa review tapos dagdagan ng stat declaration para mas detailed yung job functions?

di ko rin gets bakit 4 years bawas. BS Computer Science (from top 3 uni) working as ICT Business Analyst. may kilala ako from ateneo, same course, walang bawas as programmer.

@SAPinoy Hi, regarding the COEs, I myself have submitted old ones dated 2013/2014, siguro as long as ung signatory updated ung contact number in case they need to call your previous company for verification, it should be okay. Pero here naman in PH, di masyado, unlike in IN and PK sabi sa kabilang forum tinatawagan talaga lahat kasi madaming cases of fraud.

@richmondkv baka pwede po combine mo as 1 PDF ung COE and ung document na bigay ng manager then upload as 1 document? Kung both naman merong letterhead, cohesive naman tignan na coming from the same company. Meron akong isang COE din na first page with letterhead but no job description, then 2nd page no letterhead in plain paper nakabullet point lang ung job description then signature nung manager who signed the first page, as in signature lang no contact number haha. Tinanggap ng ACS although they contacted me to have that 2nd page CTCed, kasi pagpasa ko initially ung may letterhead lang ung pinaCTC ko.

@tiggeroo hello, paano po pag parehas may letterhead pero magkaiba? ganito kasi ang case ko.

yung certificate of employment ko kasi, ang letterhead is "Company A - Global", yung employment reference naman from my manager, ang letterhead is "Company A - Manila."

Same company naman, pero marami silang headoffice around the world. D ko nga alam bakit iba iba ang letterhead eh, nakaka praning tuloy hehe..

Manager ko kasi is based sa Manila. Sya yung delivery head. ako lang ang overseas.

May CTC naman parehas..

@rich88 I think this should be okay to be uploaded as 1 pdf document since the two documents are referring to the same employment episode. Combine mo nalang with distiller. Mejo hawig naman ung 2 logos? And indicated po ba sa COE na manila ang country of employment?

@tiggeroo Oo, consistent naman yung sinasabi dun sa employment reference at sa certificate of employment na from this date to this date sa Manila ako, then from this date to date (current), andito ako overseas.

Yes, similar naman ung company logo. Yung kasunod lang yung difference.. Kung ihahambing natin sa movies:

Employment reference : The Lord of the Rings - The Fellowship of the Ring
Certificate of employment: The Lord of the Rings - The Return of the King

@rich88 I would think that would be enough, ung akin less than that 6 bullets lang. For one company 2 pages? Mostly sakin 1 page lang like the ACS sample, except dun sa isang company na sa 2nd page nakalagay ung bullets for JD kasi bawal daw galawin ung standard format ng coe nila.

I'm planning to pursue my AU dream this June so I've been reading posts here for several weeks na. I have idea about the process but hopefully someone can advise regarding my case.

Current Work: Technology Consultant, 5 years going 6 this June
Job that I Aim for Skilled Visa: System Analyst

Questions:
1) My bf has pretty much the same work experience. We're in the same company. Our plan is to both get the assessment and English Test then kung sino mas mataas sa IELTS, yun mag submit ng EOI. Tama ba to? Kaya lang we're not living together but in a relationship for 3 yrs. Papasa ba as de facto partner? What I can share to prove is credit card statement, since supplementary ko sya and kasama na yung mga photos, conversation, etc.

2) Paano po ma-determine if nominated by state? Or based sa points ko?

3) If nag-lodge na ng VISA, may chance pa ba yun na ma-deny? I think health is one factor pero other than that ano pa po?

4) If ako yung primary applicant ng visa then bf ko yung sub, can he also apply for his mother ng sabay na samin?
