@mayz73 I have a similar question a year ago. Application was lodged and received acknowledgement from DIBP. Two possible things: (1) The volume of application when you lodged yours was high; (2) There must be an information/detail in your application which needs to be verified. As per Item (1), your case may not be allocated to a Case Officer. As per Item (2), you should be receiving an inquiry from DIBP. Did you lodge your application on your own or used and education agent to do so? If your application was lodged through an education agent, perhaps you may want to sit down and talk to them. It is your legal right. If you lodged it by yourself, you should be receiving an inquiry from the department. What you can do is write to [email protected] or better yet, call them. Explain to them your current situation.

@jefnavarro it is a must that before your application is given a decision, you need to comply with what is required by DIBP. Otherwise, refusal may be given. If you included your wife in your application, and she will be traveling with you, she need to have OSHC.

@merbentan One-way will do. Once you're there, finish the BP and get registered. You might consider going for WTPN when you're already in Australia, or better yet start looking for sponsor. Once you've got your registration, go for full skills assessment and apply for GSM. WHile under 575 you are allowed to work 20 hours/week and full-time when classes are no longer in session. Why go back to the Philippines if you can extend your stay? I believe the reason why you took the liberty of applying for 575 is to be registered in Australia, and eventually work and live there permanently. Good luck mate :)

@jefnavarro minor things like this should not be taken for granted. You should ask your agent to have that fixed. Silly mistake :( It is your right, and you paid handsomely for their services :)

@jefnavarro Oh...the school committed the mistake...here is the thing mate, the school receives the application and all information it contained from the agent, and encode whatever is indicated on that form. It's very easy to point fingers. Hope you are getting the general idea. Nevertheless, it is GOOD that you called your agent :)

@EXCEL yes that's what i said to my agent as well but he said that i might get asked in the immigration. he said that I should never give the impression of staying beyond the time given to me. Anyways, i've worked around the problem. I bought a round trip ticket using Mabuhay Miles, and the ticket to go back to Manila can be refunded. By the way, how do I edit my profile so that I can show my timeline?

@dhekkkkkk Did you lodge your previous visa application on your own? if so, you should be able to obtain copy of the refusal using the email address you indicated on the application form. If you used an agent to lodge the application, they should ha a copy of the refusal. If none of these worked, you may have to fill in Form 424A here http://www.border.gov.au/Citizenship/Documents/424a.pdf#search=Form 424C read the direction and strictly follow. :)

Since you already got your confirmation from TAFE, perhaps you should make arrangements to lodge your student visa as there will be changes in the SVP soon. Good luck and GOD BLESS! :)

If you are confident now to lodge everything on your own then do it by yourself anyway you can always refer here in our forum and many will help you as much as others can do. You can also read from the different threads here on student visa and you will surely be helped thru them. Good luck and God bless.

If this is a paid agencythen it is your right to make a follow up with them. However if it is something free like IDP and others then you can't do that much if they're so busy nowadays except to pray that they soon will have time to look at your application. Good luck and God bless

That's the risk at times when we tap any free of charge agency .... We are at their mercy and we can't demand since we're not paying anything....anyway good luck once again ..... Just make it sure that you consult DIBP's checklist of documents for your guidance. God bless

The service is not free. IDP and similar agencies are often referred to as "education agents' or simply "agents". They are receiving certain percentage from the total fees you paid to the education provider in Australia as commission. Normally this at least 10% of the total fees paid per successful student. So, I would suggest you follow up. It is your legal right. You signed an agreement with them, right? Good luck and GOD BLESS :)
