@jella ayoko na mg PTE. dami nila technical issues. pina refund ko nalang ung saken kasi sbi nila mg retake dw ako. naistress n ako kya refund nlng tas bayad ko nlng un ng OET

Aww sayang naman yung effort mo. Anyare kaya? Dibale sana makuha mo na yung desired score mo soon whether IELTS, PTE-A, or OET.

@hunder_08 I'm not expert in writing since even in previous IELTS results it was my weakest linked. But so far sa mga mock test ko, my written discourse showed result of 90. I think better maximized the 300 words na requirement. Even sa summarized into one sentence (70 words) and tsaka yung isang summary ng speaker na 50-70 words, i-maximized mo rin. And keep on practising.

@WalanjoSG Thanks.. before medyo ok nman na yng writing ko sa exam but sa last exam ko I only got 64.. sana maka graduate na sa English exam..salamat ulit

@hunter_08 Baka kinabahan ka lalo at nawala na sa focus mo. Today yong exam ko. later pa naman 6pm. Excited na ako na kinakabahan kasi gusto ko na din magraduate sa enlish req. Nway, have u tried checking videos of IELTS University. Doon ko natutunan ung techniques nya sa writing. Paulit ulit ko lang pinapanood ung apat na youtube videos nya. Napaka direct to the point ng techniques nya sa writing.

@hunter_08 Yes this will be my first take sa PTE and hopefully the last one. Just keep on practicing lang sa writing and timed yourself always. Ang worry ko ang Speaking lalo na sa oral fluency. Pagka kinabahan ako nawawala ako sa practice templates ko. Hopefully i can ace this one.

@WalanjoSG kaya yan.. actually sa speaking ako nadadalian.. ksi hndi naman need tama yng mga info na sasabihin mo e.. important is tuloy tuloy at tama yng grammar.. yun lng.. kaya mo ng isang take yan....

@jedh_g sa describe image gumamit lng ako ng template " The bar/line chart projected on the screen entitled/shows...... yng content the chart......... The chart was very accurate and concise which can be used as reference for future studies with the same objective."

sa re tell lecture nag list down lng ako ng mga key points tpos from there pinapalawak ko na lng...

@hunter Better check your cohesion and fluency of your essay. Baka kasi haywired yong thoughts and baka di mo nasagot kung ano yong required doon sa tanong ng essay.

hndi ko pa kasi alam nun na naaadjust pala ung mic and hndi ko pa nababasa tong thread na to. but I’ll try and try until maka 79 all.

Nakakapag taka lang na 66 lang ang pronunciation ko, eh maayos naman yung pagkaka pronounce ko ng word sa speaking part...

@rich88 pano ginawa mo sa writing, gumamit kb nung template na nadto sa forum? ung sa essay at summarize w/s text minaximize mb ung word count?

@24luffy d ako gumamit ng template. Introduction lang. D naman maximize mashado. Mga 60/70 words sa sumarize, tpos 280/300 sa essay. Pag wala na ako masabi d ko na inuulit ulit just for the sake na ma-maximize lang.

Hey guys! Nakuha ko na ang result ng practice PTE exam ko. Ayos naman at achievable ang target score ko. Kaya lang merong comment na ganito:
"Your writing and overall score may be lower than you had expected as there was a problem scoring one or more of your answers to the writing questions in the test. This can happen if your answers do not conform to the instructions or you write in non-standard English."

What are your thoughts? Wala akong makita sa ibang sites, kaka-check ko lang. Salamat ng marami.

Happy Sunday everyone! Just took my PTE paid mock test (Set

this morning.

@iam_juju my scores were as follows:
L: 75
R: 63
S: 80
W:69

Enabling Skills were as follows:
Grammar: 65
Oral Fluency: 64 (will work on this more until tonight)
Pronunciation: 90
Spelling: 73
Vocabulary: 81
Written Discourse: 90

Key points as I may recommend after taking the exam:
1. Part I - I hit hard on the repeat sentence part but still lucky to reach 75. Need to practice.
Also, it helped that I had my templates ready for describe image. Need ko na lang to practice / strategize maximizing my time writing the template after the 1st question ng read aloud. I was so happy that I did well on this part.

2. Part II - Reading part was I think moderate but it did hit me as I do not noticed the transition from the 1st part kasi ang bilis. Siguro, I had to improve on the multiple choice choose single / multiple answers as this hits me kasi right minus wrong.

I also simulated the optional break for 10 minutes. Importante na walang intake ng water basta nakapasok ka na nag test center. Madalas kasi ako mag urinate considering cold sa test center I assumed.

3. Part III - This was the easiest part I took. I think my wide range of vocabulary and collocations made this instrumental in getting desires score pati writing essay. Dagdagan lang ng maraming vocabulary< I could boost up my score up to 80. I love the write from dictation part and summarizing the heard conversation. It helps to write on my notes and not just merely selecting from the choices.

Salamat sa lahat ng tulong ninyo dito sa forum. Tomorrow is the big test day. I can do it! I rest my case to our Creator...

@jedh_g hey wala ka bang nakuhang comment like mine? I'm guessing kase nag-submit ako 3 seconds bago mag-time out kaya baka na register sa system na nag-overtime ako. Mabilis mo ba natapos ang reading part? Thank you.

I also tried the mock test set B, sablay pa ako sa speaking, nakakainis kasi hindi talaga ako makapag review lately dahil sa work, pag uwi naman sa bahay busy sa kids, mag pe pray na lang ako hehe and will try again the Mcmillan test. Hirap talaga ako sa pronunciation, masyadong tagalog na version ng English ang natutuhan ko sa school, and it's so hard to change yung nakasanayan na pagbigkas ng mga salita. Nag improve naman score ko kahit pano from my set A mock test except sa oral fluency and written discourse, bumaba ng bongga yung written discourse ko from 79 to 45. Ang naaalala ko lang na different na ginawa ko is dun sa summarize written text, dati nag compose ako ng summary using words na wala dun sa texts, sa set B naman parang pinag dugtong dugtong ko lang yung mga sentences composing a complex sentence. Obviously its not effective.

@jedh_g bukas na din exam ko. Ilang minutes pa natira sayo after reading? Tingin ko yun talaga naging problem ko - last second ako nag-submit. Good luck sa atin!

advice sa kukuha pa lang ng exam. I-condition nyo na yung sarili niyo na sa speaking part sobrang ingay ng paligid. As in super. Like yung katabi ko na examinee, nadistract talaga ako sa lakas ng boses. May gulay. There were parts in the speaking that I stammered. Most likely affected your oral fluency ko nito. But the rests of the exams are manageable. Feeling ko nga mas nahirapan pa ako sa paid mock test kaysa sa actual exam. But yong sa writing, make it sure to practice 20 mins each essay talaga. Pagkaflash ng essay topic start na ng countdown ng 20mins.

@markiemark Yung seating arrangement parang sa call center talaga. So alam mo malapit na malapit lang talaga. Like dinig na dinig mo ung katabi mo. Yung result ng mock test ko nasa signature ng account ko.
