@iammaxwell1989 Paano ka nag apply ng 189?

Tanong ko lang so sa pointing system yung under ng qualification. So makakakuha ba tayo ng 15 points dahil dito "At least a bachelor degree from an Australian educational institution or other degree of a recognised standard" tapos 10 points pa na dagdag dahil dito "An award or qualification recognised by the assessing authority in the assessment of the skilled occupation" after magpaassess. Please help me.

Paano ka umabot ng 65 points?

I applied on-line.

You will get 15points if you get your bachelor's degree assessed by EA as equivalent to an Oz degree.

You get additional points for years of relevant skilled occupation as assessed by EA (i.e 5pts for 1 year Oz experience or 3yrs overseas). You can get max of 20pts from skilled occupation.

Age - 30
Bachelors degree - 15
English skills - 20

Total = 65

@pseudoaussie Because i dont need to. I already have 65pts without having to claim for work exp. Plus there's additional fee for doing so.

Hello, everyone! I'm new to this forum. I am qualified for the 476 visa and I have plans to apply by next year. Based on what I read here, most apply for the 189 PR visa after obtaining the 476 visa. So I ask:

Is a 476 visa really required (or just ideal) to apply for the 189 visa?
How long after being granted the 476 visa can I apply for the 189 visa?
And can I go ahead and apply directly for the 189 visa instead to consolidate my efforts (and cost)?

Hi.. I would like to apply for the visa 476.. May i know kung ano medical requirements before i proceed to lodging? Baka kasi ill fail lang naman pala the medical sayang ang mga fees. Ano mga tests po ginawa ninyo?

- No. They are separate visa's with separate application processes.

How long after being granted the 476 visa can I apply for the 189 visa?
- You can apply anytime.

And can I go ahead and apply directly for the 189 visa instead to consolidate my efforts (and cost)?

- Yes, you can.

hindi po kasama ang pinas sa Signatories dyan, Provisional Status pa lang po tayo, kaya sa CDR Pathway po tayo....sana po may mag-correct kung mali ako

Hi. I am actually in energy trading / energy markets so never really looked at the engineering job market in Melbourne. I did have a short stint as an engineering assistant about 2 years ago,and that's about it.

I think in general job market is much better now than how it was 2 years ago, at least in my experience.

@Lumino Hi. I don't think UP (or any other Philippine uni) is a signatory in the Washington accord. So I don't think we can use that pathway. I did not.

Hi!

I applied for Visa 476 and I just got my visa grant notice yesterday! Wooh I'm so freakin' thrilled! And scared. Hehe

Meron ba ditong may plans na pumunta sa Au Q3 or Q4 this year? Sa mga nandyan na sa Au, may mga advice ba kayo para sa newbie katulad ko?

Sana buhay pa itong thread na ito, hihingi po sana ako ng advice. Kakatanggap ko lang ng visa grant last December 9 and will fly to NSW on March 4. Some background lang, i have a 1 year working experience po as process engineer in PH and a PRC license in chemical engineering. Would just like to ask what would be the best pathway for me to have a permanent visa in oz? I'm seeing visa 189/190 pero if ever po, what are other alternatives since wala pa po sa 60 points ata ang makukuha ko. Thank you very much to anyone who would care to reply
