Hindi kasama yung 190 sa ceiling. Only for 189 & 489 yun

@chewychewbacca I suggest you take this time to study and learn new things/technologies (though I know it's hard to concentrate while waiting). Remember, getting the visa is the easy part. Securing a good & stable job is the more challenging part. And since we're from the IT field, we have a LOT of competition. We really have to stand out among the other applicants. So make the most out of your idle time by learning new stuff that will help your future career.

I still think it's better to get Visa 189 (just to have a little leeway). Konting tiis na lang, July 1 na. Refresh na so baka by then ma-invite ka na.

I actually applied for Visa 189 last May 19 but I also applied for Visa 190 last May 25. Just in case. I'll be living in NSW (Sydney) rin talaga kasi andun lahat ng relatives and friends ko. So, either way, win win pa rin for me kung 189 or 190.

Oo nga po eh. I'm hoping that this July I get invited. Well, not only me but all those still waiting for the invite. Hehe

So I just entered separate entries for each position and uploaded the same reference letter for all belonging to the same company. I'll just wait for ACS reply if I did the right thing and give a feedback here.

Hi again, I have other questions.
My husband's a software tester. Do you think I can I get partner skills points for that? He has 8++ years work experience and BS IT graduate.
I'll be the main applicant and he's going to be included in the app. If I'm not going to get points for partner skills, does he still need to take IELTS? Or would his college degree be enough to say he knows how to speak English?

> Starting Dec 2010 macredit sa work exp so 5 years = 10 pts

Hi everyone! Im just starting my application sa ACS po. Here is my case po. BsMath grad po ako pero nasa IT industry na po ko for 8 years. Sa application ko po ba, dapat skills assessment + RPL apply ko? O skills assessment muna tapos advise nila if kailangan ko pa RPL? Non ICT po kasi course ko, work experience at IT trainings lang meron ako.

@gemini If you're the main applicant and applying for Visa 189, both your occupations should be in the SOL to be able to claim partner skills points. Unfortunately, Software Tester is in the CSOL. You may try to apply for Visa 190 if you still want to claim partner points. If you're not claiming points, he just needs to get a Certificate of English as Medium of Instruction from the university.

@chewychewbacca pang 2613 kasi yung ceiling, so lahat ng 2613 damay dun AFAIK. software tester job code is 261314 kasi so I think may impact yun..

pero sabi nga ni @guenb mukang pang 189 lang ata yung ceiling.

@rich88 pang 189 lang yung ceiling, yung NSW my sariling ceiling yan. base sa mga nabasa ko sa ibang forum, my 4000 slots sila. then halos 700+ nalang natira. pero dun sa 4000 slots na yun, lahat ng occupation halo halo like accountant, IT, engineering, etc.

@JK_Santos 5years yung nabawas sa tropa ko - AMA Pque BSIT sya and Diploma lang and not Bachelors Degree. AMA QC lang ata ang recognize for bachelors degree... sa napansin ko lang ha, i maybe wrong.

Hello everyone! Just lodged my ACS application yesterday and currently stage 4 na po ngaun. Usually ganun po ba kabilis ung processing, or the stage 4 will take some time to complete?

Then, ung nominated job code ko po is under SOL (263111 - Computer Network and Systems Engineer) because I'm planning to apply for 189. If ever I need to apply for 190 to get addt'l points, do I need to submit another assessment to ACS and nominate a job code under CSOL? Or I can use my SOL assessment if ever the outcome is successful?

Hi question lang regarding format ng COE for ACS assessment. Tama naman yung format nung doc kaso nilagyan ng reason na for skills assessment to join australian computer society. ano kaya magiging implication nito? baka kasi isipin ng ACS na jojoin ako instead na mag papa assess ako. ayoko na sana mag pa request ng bago since ang tagal bago ma release ulit eh, abutin ulit ng almost 1 month. anyway 2 months lang naman ung stay ko dun sa company pero sayang din ung 2 months. hehe

i a week time normally meron na result. no need for new skills assessment should u apply for sc 190. 263111 is also in CSOL.

u need to go through acs skills assessment through RPL, then 6 years of work will be deducted from your total IT work kung same group or nominated occupation yung 8 years mo.

another question. Im planning to submit na yung forms by next week. So 1 pdf file lang ba lahat dapat? or tig iisang pdf file per employer or per document type?

So sa RPL po, magiging 2 years na lang experience ko pala.

If ever i take units na closely related sa core units, would that help me to qualify po for ICT course? At hindi mabawasan ng 6 years ang work experience ko?

Hello, hopefully someone can advise my case. Naka pag pa assess napo ako last year, myrun ako experience sa pinas na COE lang ang supporting evidence ko wla akong pay slip or ITR, maliit lang sya na companya at d pala nag contribute ng ITR sakin. Now, i would like exclude this on my reassessment kaso sabi ni ACS dna pwede ma remove once naka pagsubmit kna un na ung final,pwedi lang mag link kung magpa reassess ako.. ang worry ko baka later on after processing my visa ito ung dahilan naa deny kasi COE lang hawak ko wla ako mapakita na payslip or ITR.

From my understanding sa visa application dapat yung latest ITR and payslips ang ipapasa. So, dapat yung sa current company or yung pinaka recent company mo yung ipapasa mo na ITR and payslips.

Anyone, please correct me if I am wrong.

@ajhay I think under pa rin yun sa RPL. Yan kasi ang mahirap kapag hindi ICT course nung college tapos ICT work tapos nagpa-assess sa ACS. Strict ang ACS sa ganyan.

May friends rin ako na yan ang problem ngayon kasi ECE sila graduate. Ang ginawa ng friends ko is nagpa-assess sila sa EA (Engineers Australia) kahit ICT work ginawa nila. Mga college papers nila yung pinasa nila and mga awards and certifications.

From my understanding dapat kasi para makuha yung Bachelor Degree or higer (ICT Major) Closely related 2 years dapat yung course nung college related talaga sa work experience and sa occupation na pinapa-assess sa ACS. Yung iba sabi yung school is big deal rin pero hindi ko lang 100% sure kasi yung school ko nasa Section 2 pero nakuha ko yung suitable for migration kahit ganun ang case ko.

Thank you po for your inputs. So dapat talaga makagraduate ako ng CS or IT para magqualify. Or magdagdag ng years of experience para may matira pa sa ibabawas ni RPL. Ok sana school ko kasi nasa section 1 naman, pero yong course ko may isa lang subject na computer related, intro to compsci.

May maisuggest pa po ba kayo na way para maging suitable sa ACS ung case ko?

@ajhay list mu points mu muna, like for age, if you'll wait pa and take units how many years will that take you? baka lumampas nman sa age bracket & you'll lose points for age. If I were you pa assess ka na via RPL route, you won't have points for experience for now but you can wait 1year more para maging 3years = 5points. Within that year of waiting you can have ielts or pte.
