Remarking?

Just went to BC SG kanina to apply for remarking sa writing ko. Was told to wait for 8 to 10 weeks. Hoping na maging 7 from 6.5 .

@fi0na03 gosh you're lucky ako hindi pa din mka move-on sa re-marking ko, no choice I have to retake. I'm considering PTE but when I think how I have to review to a different type of exam na -estress ako. So I'm taking a chance to my 2nd IELTS. Baka swertehin na this time.

Ako din, yung 6.5 na writing ang sablay. I was considering to have my score remarked per I opted to take PTE-A na lang. It was a good decision naman. Good luck to everyone.

submitted remarking for writing last January 14 and receive result today. No change in score :-( now planning to take PTE Acad next month.

the problem with remarking e hindi namn nila iexplain why remarked or y hindi ka naremark. pero matataas namn scores mo, hopefully maremark ung writing mo

Hi. Any of you who did the re-mark for 6.0 in WRITING and got a 7.0 after the remark?

This is my husband's score: L-8.0 R-7.0 S-7.0 W-6.0 OBS-7.0

He's handwriting though is magulo, i mean kung first time kang magbabasa, it doesnt look legible. He was actually confident that he'll get a high score sa writing and nabigla sya kasi he expected to fail in listening and reading.

Hi @itang It took 10 weeks of waiting and sad to say no change sa score :-( I took the PTE exam last May 13 and I passed it. Better took the PTE ;-)

a friend of mine, took ielts same date with me, but we failed to get atleast 7 in writing.

i opted to take PTE-A and my friend decided na magparemark sa BC sg, unfortunately, no changes sa score nya after waiting for 10 weeks..

tip ko, if you decided na magparemark, dapat confident ka sa writing mo or speaking na dapat maka-atleast 7 yun.. kasi sayang sa time at pera.. if hindi ka confident at limited time & budget, mag PTE-A kn lng.

Hi mga ka-forum, update lang ako para mainspire ang iba na huwag tumigil sa mga pangarap. Keep chasing dreams! Just got my IELTS remarking result for my 2nd take, and the band scores changed from L:8.5=R:7.5=S:8.0=W:6.5>7.0. My first take was May 2014, 2nd take was Apr 30, 2016. God blessed me with these results in the right timing. Prepping now for the docs and points claim evidences.

I backread this thread and nakita na mataas naman ang chances ng remarking pero wala akong nakita na from 7.5 to 8 kadalasan kasi is 6.5-7. Nabasa ko din na pwedeng paremark lahat ng tests for the same price para kung sakali na isa lang ang maremark is marefund pa din yung fee, do you suggest we go for it? Sayang kasi yung .5 na kulang ko sa writing para sa 20pts. Thank you!!!

meron ako kilala from 6.5 writing naging 8. pero sobrang rare na may nareremark. cguro around 2/ 12 na kilala ko ang nareremark.

@jiomariano Are you confident about your writing exam? Or do you desperately need the extra points? If oo, I'd say go for it. My writing score is 7.5 and I went for the remarking (still waiting for the results) coz I really need the extra points --- and I really thought writing would be my highest score haha. Pikit mata nalang sa remarking fee, bro =/

@joeyeoj Not entirely, pero ayoko kasi magsisi kapag kinapos na ako sa pts and nag lapse na ang six week window ko. Hahaha! Magpaparemark na lang ako to be sure, di pa kasi ako nagpapa assess sa EA so hindi ko pa alam kung magkukulang ba points ko or what, and if hindi naman issue yung pts after my assessment, there's no harm in getting a higher score diba? Hahaha! Gusto ko lang sana humingi ng idea sa iba what are the odds na tumaas pa score natin since 7.5 is relatively mataas na

Hello everyone. WE just got the IELTS results today. Here are my hubby's scores:
R - 8.5
L - 7.5
W - 7
S - 6.5

Go or nogo for remarking? How and where do we start? Or mas mabuti bang PTE-A na lang?

@towbee halos pareho ng score pero both W and S ko is 6.5, if confident ang hubby mo na mas mataas dapat sa 6.5 ang speaking nya eh you go for remarking... as for me I am planning to take PTE-A na lang

@mugsy27 : Thank you for your reply. And thank you for the promocode! We are also looking into taking PTE-A, pero try muna namin magparemark (fingers crossed). Sabay pala kayo ni hubby nag-IELTS. In the meantime, prepare na kami ng CDR. Nakita ko sa timeline mo plan mo magsubmit sa EA this week. Magfafast track ka ba? Anong nominated occupation mo?

@cacophony: I think you can try. Kami, susubukan rin namin magparemark. PHP3642 yata ang equivalent ng GBP60 ngayon.
