Hi sa lahat. May nabasa lang ako sa ibang thread kaya ginawa ko to.
Totoo talagang mahirap makakuha ng trabaho dito sa Australia.
That is why I am bringing this up!

For Melbourne location only. Para mas specific.
Pwede ding mag add ng ibang thred, ung ibang location naman.

Alam ko marami nang thread dito about referrals and advises on how to have a job.
Pero let's make it now more recent.

I am happy for those na may work na after 1 month of stay here in Melbourne.
Or two months. Or more than two months.

Nalulungkot lang ako sa iba na wala pa. Napagdaanan ko din yan. Kaya ginawa ko tong thread para din makatulong.

Referrals lang at job hunt advises.
Make it more on referrals.
Dahil un ang talagang kailangan ng mga kapwa natin pinoy.

Bakit ang mga chinese nagawa nila?
Bakit ang mga indian nagawa din nila?
Bakit tayo ang hirap?

Alam ko mahirap gawin to.
Pero gaya nga ng sabi ng iba, walang imposible sa mgs pilipino.

    Kung may work kana, maghanap ka pa din ng trabaho. Hindi para sayo. Kundi para sa kapwa mo pinoy. Kung may nakita ka kahit odd jobs lang, post it here. Make some small efforts telling kung pano mag-apply sa nakita.

    Lahat ng ibibigay natin, babalik din satin yan.

    At alam ko this really sounds too hopeless and awkward, pero kung makakatulong to GO lang.

    Sa pilipinas, hindi man natin makita ang pagtutulungan masyado, pwede natin i-start d2.

    This is my first JOB HUNT ADVISE.

    Para sa mga wala munang balak maghanap ng experience related job d2 sa melbourne, at odd job muna ang gagawin, eto muna ang maipapayo ko:

    Apply for odd jobs na super lapit lang sa tinitirhan nyo.
    Based on my experience eto masasabi ko dahilan kung bakit ako ang kinuha at hindi ung 1 intsik at 1 aussie. Mind U ni hindi man lang ako tinanong during interview. Pero ako pa din ang kinuha. Malaman laman ko lang almost walking distance lng pla ung work from bahay. Hwag aksayahin ang energy sa pagpapass ng application kung nakatira ka sa south eastern suburb at ang inaapplyan mo eh odd job sa northern suburb. Be realistic. Location, i think, is one important quality para makuha ka sa position. ( sorry for the word quality, wala na ko maisip na ibang adjectives eh ). This will also giv us lesser application sending thus lesser depression sa dami ng pinapadala nating application. ( tama ba ung word ko na lesser? )

    Sa lahat ng pinasa kong applications, lagpas hundreds na like U, tatlong interview lang ang naibigay sakin. At lahat sila, either walking distance or 1 bus away lng.

    Kung nakatira ka sa isang suburb like me south eastern suburb ako, mag ikot ikot ka sa lugar mo. Lakad lang. Cgro 1 o 2 jan hiring. At bumalik next time para mag-apply. Hwag mahiya. Kapalan na ang mukha, anyway, ganun tlga.

    Ako mahiyain ako at takot humarap sa tao at takot mag english pero natry ko din magwalk in. Sa dalawang resto, ung 1 mandarin chinese language pa required. Pero try ko pdn. Malas lang until now wala pang cal. Pero importante natry ko.

    Hwag mahiya.

    One day, makakasalubong din tau ng Pinoy na magrerefer satin sa trabaho.

    Sir, Salamat sa initiative and effort mo for putting this thread. I'm one of those Filipinos here in Melbourne na having difficulty finding a job related to my profession back in phils. (4 months and on-going na). So somehow, nakaka relate ako sa mga sinabi mo. Right now, I'm considering a blue collar job applications already. Sana palarin ako kahit papaano. basta bottomline dito huwag sumuko. Kung may oppurtunity na dumating sayo grab na agad Kahit blue collar job pa yan.

    2nd JOB HUNT ADVISE

    Dun sa mga cleaner na odd job ang like muna for the meantime, usually sikat ang mga pinoy. Most of them are working in malls like melbourne central.

    Ilang beses na din ako nakakita ng mga pinoys na cleaner sa chadston. Honestly, pwede natin sila tanungin kung pwede ba tau sa work nila. Just be very nice to them. Ayaw din naman nila na ung konting shifts nila eh kukunin mo pa.

    Hwag mahiya mag-approach.

    Last time nagpunta ako sa chadston, nakita ko ung 1 pinay nagabot ng folder dun sa 1 pang pinay. Malamang resume un. Walang masama kung kausapin natin sila, magpakatotoo lang tau.

    Sa chadston maraming pinoy na cleaner. Malamang infested na ng pinoy cleaner ang chadston, pero walang masamag magtry.

    At hindi na din masama ang odd job na cleaner, 18aud per hour ang minimum.

    Pang sustain lang ng mga dapat nating isustain d2 sa melbourne.
