Hi to all of you! Bago lang po akong member dito sa forum but I have been visiting this for quite some time. Very helpful.

Question po, what is the equivalent subject in PH for the Accounting Processes and Systems na required nga CPAA/CAANZ? As I checked my TOR wala akong ganitong exact subject title. I assumed that this is AIctg Info Systemt based on my research this has been removed by AU acctg bodies. Please help po. Thank you so much nd God bless on your applications.

good morning! it's my first time to join this forum and i'm hoping someone could enlighten me if I should pursue my PR application or not. I'm not a CPA but then based on my CPA friends na nasa AU na, they're confident that I can make it since I do have like 8+ years work experience in accounting. I opted to apply on my own base na din sa advise ng friends ko. So I'm already completing all my docs and prepping for PTE academics but then I found respall, an immigration agency, who offers free assessment online. I took my chance since free nmn just to see if I'm really qualified or not. but then the agent told me that I'm not qualified kasi my Bachelor's Degree daw is not comparable as that of Au's. So I inquired for further explanation and she said that the university i graduated from is section 2 based on CEP and my GWA is only 2.1. I'd like to know if there's someone who got a positive qualification assessment despite such circumstances? Or should I just forget the PR plan at all and move on since hindi din talaga ako qualified? Appreciate your feedback. Thanks and God bless.

I know someone na hindi CPA pero nakapag migrate sa Aus. pero ung weighted average grade mo sa TOR ay mataas dapat. parang 2 dapat or equivalent. Be hurry lang if you want to apply dahil kakalabas lang ng news na Accountants may be dropped sa SOL list.

hi @rln , I think having CPAA assessment would be the best way to answer your query. Some had a positive assessment not even having CPA Phil designation. If you think your undergraduate subjects matched with CPAA's list of competency areas, then you have a big chance.

@Pokie Na sad ako na lahat na pla accountants. Ung initial kse is taxation accountants lang. Pero asa 2500 pa quota nila for 2016-2017. Asa 416 plang invite, possible kaya i meet muna ang quota before tanggalin sa SOL. Di pa nga ako nag PTEA. :((

@batman napansin ko lang, last year kasama din si Accountant under flagged SOL year 2015-2016, meaning they are trimming down the quota kse 4500 sya last year ngaun 2500 nalang, theory ko lng possible kaya? Haaayyy

@lfp005 working in a specific industry is not a basis of getting a positive assessment. What is important is your work responsibilities is closely related to the duties and responsibilities of you nominated occupation.

Hi Guys. Newbie here. I'll be submitting my documents to CPAA next week for assessment. I hope to hear positive response. Do you have any idea how long will it take for their review? Someone told me it can be within 1 month only?

Also, have you heard this news that only those who got 70+ points in their EOI will receive ITA? So shocked to hear this news.

    Please advise. Thanks,

    Hi,

I just like to confirm the process of application sa CPAA. Magkahiwalay na submission ba ang bachelor's degree at IELTS vs sa skilled employment assessment. Or pwede na pagsabayin sa first submission? My course is BS Accountancy, graduated in 1999. Looking at the required subjects, wala akong specific subject na Financial accounting & Reporting. Can you advise please?

I plan to apply as Finance Manager. Wala akong agent.

    Thanks!

Hello po. It's me again. May confirmation po ako about sa English requirement. Na receive ko po kasi today yung result ng PTE exam ko, kaso 77 lang yung writing ko, bitin siya kasi dapat walang less than 79pts para maka-claim sana ng 20 points. Plan ko po is to re-take.

If po nagpa assess na ako this week sa CPAA using my scores now sa PTE, wala po bang impact yun kung sakaling mag rere-take ako ng PTE?

Salamat po. naguguluhan po kasi ako if magreretake muna ako, or pa assess na din muna.

    Occupation: Accountant
Dec 19, 2016 - Visa Grant. Finally, Thank you, God!

no it wont affect your cpaa application. CPAA requires only 65 in each 4 components. So kahit magretake ka it doesnt matter. u only need 79 for dibp requirements to claim 20 points.
