@rhycka hindi sakto ang result sa mock exam kasi madaming factor. for example, hindi ganun ka-ganda ang mic mo or maingay sa lugar niyo kaya may na-pickup na ibang noise.

kung gusto mo lang ng mock exam meron sa youtube. yun nga lang walang score yun.

same lang din ang questions kung bibili ka ulit ng pearson mock exam.

@rhycka ah. ganun po ba? baka kasi yung saken dahil 2 times nko bumili ng gold kit. tingin ko pwede na yung score mo to achieve 65, just work more sa speaking lalo na sa read aloud and describe image... Goodluck po..

So everyone is giving tips, templates, resources, etc. pero para maiba pwede niyo pa share ang study/practice routine ninyo? Baka may makuha tayong ideas so apply in our own routines.

I'll start it off.

While nasa bus papuntang work, makikinig ako ng repeat sentence, answer short questions or describe image. Ni-download ko lang yung mp3 version ng mga nasa youtube then nilagay ko sa phone.

Lunch time, either reorder paragraph or write essay.

Bus ride after work, same pa rin ng ginagawa ko sa morning bus routine.

Sa bahay, I practice kung ano mang question ako dapat mag concentrate. For example, puro retell lecture lang for a week.

During weekends, either continue practicing that question that I need to focus on or do full mock exam. May full mock exam sa youtube.

So what's your study/practice routine?

@jaceejoef after a discouraging IELTS remarking i set 2 months for PTE and ganito ang study routine ko.

Going to work (morning): listening podcast with shadow technique to boost speaking and listening skills

Lunch time: essay writing (1 essay 20 minutes)

Back home (afernoon/ evening): listening podcast with shadow technique to boost speaking and listening skills

After dinner: Reading set or listening set or writing set (McMillan or PTE Plus) or Speaking practice, mga 1 to 2 hours..

Sa Read Aloud, saktong speed lang. Natatapos akong basahin yung paragraph in about 25-30 seconds. Remember din na importante ang phrasing.

Great suggestion @jaceejoef !

I study everyday after work and then the whole weekend. My entire review took about 2 months.

Since I bought the 10 sample test package of tcyonline.com, I aim to complete 1 sample test from Monday to Friday and another sample test on Saturday.

I allot about 2 hours per weekday so I typically work on 1 section per day.

Mondays for Speaking
Tuesday to work on weak points in Speaking
Wednesday for Reading and Listening
Thursday to work on weak points in R&L
Friday to work on Writing
Sat AM - review Writing skills
Sat PM - Full Sample Test
Sunday - Review sample test results; work on weak points.

And important tip is to get the cooperation of everyone you live with to converse in full English. This will help you raise your fluency.

Please help! 5th take na ni hubby ng PTE untill now sumasabit pa din sya reading. palaging below 65

Any tips po na pede mkatulong? nahihirapan daw sya sa multiple choice since d sya familiar sa mga words.. Plan namin na mag take ulit sya after 1 week.

@ZYMETH napansin ko lang sa timeline mo na may correspondence ka with DIBP na yung relevant skilled employment assessment is not mandatory to claim points.. pwede ba malaman in detailed... hindi ko kasi sinali sa EOI ko yung present employment ko tsaka nagexpired na yung experience ko from 15 pts. (8+ years), naging 10 pts nalang (<8 years) kasi until Dec. 2014 lang yun... thanks. po.

By the way, I would suggest to read articles sa science daily and to practice sa lofoya..
May mga reading comprehension doon sa site and re-order paragraph.

Also, please download BBC podcast "English We Speak".. puro mga conversations yung dito, it would help gauge your listening. then you may play/pause then repeat sentence. Ganito ginawa ko before.

@dorbsdee nag avail po kmi ng Relevant Skilled Employment Assessment to include sa assessment ni hubby. But nag kulang kmi ng supporting documents (income tax). Nag deduct sila ng years of experience ung year na walang kming income tax n nasubmit. which they indicate sa assessment result. Kaya nag email ako sa skill sellect if e follow ba nila ung assessment result for work experience. Sabi naman nila HINDI daw. as long na complete documents ung ipapasa mo sa DIBP ma cover nila yung point na kini-calim mo.

@ZYMETH ah. okay po thanks.. may remarks po pala sa assessment.. Yung sa case ko kasi di ko talaga sya pinaassess as in wala akong pinasa kahit anong document sa EA, kaya di ko sinama sa EOI ko at eto pala yung nasa DIBP website.

"Skilled employment
You can receive up to 20 points for skilled employment.

To claim points for skilled employment you must have, in the 10 years before you were invited to apply, at least 20 hours of paid work per week in your nominated skilled occupation and/or a closely related occupation.
Skilled employment is where:
the relevant assessing authority provides an opinion in your suitable skills assessment that your employment is skilled (you must use the date that skilled employment commenced stated in your skills assessment)
your employment experience meets the standards for skilled employment set by the relevant assessing authority on their website."

@Skye24 OMG!! Nakaloka! Hindi biro ang 16,500! Buti nalang talaga sinunod ko kutob ko kasi parang too good to be true mga sinasabi nila sakin. 100% passing rate daw tapos yun din concern ko yung flexibility ng sched and sabi ko baka mamaya iba yung tinuturo since may ibang student hindi daw kesyo one on one daw. Buti nalang talaga naisipan ko magtanong dito. Oo ireklamo niyo sayang pera! Or magsulat kayo ng feedback or reviews about them kasi pag nagsearch ka wala talaga feedback about them kaya siguro madami sila naloloko

salamat po sa feedback.. kc nung cnubukan k ung sample responses sa MacMillan, parang mabilis talga, eh kung sa atin di n cya conversational tone.. kaya tinanong k.. atleast nkahinga ako ng maluwag haha.. kc bka mkakaaffect din un sa scoring lalo n kung retell lecture at describe image.. ok lng sa read aloud kc may babasahin na.. marmi pong salamat.

@nickieneckieRN try nyo po e2language kung di pa kayo nakapag enroll sa iba.. $129 lang po yung may 45 minuts na one on one with native speaker. 3 topics po for 45 minutes. pwede din po kayo magorder ng mas maraming one on one session.

@nickieneckieRN pagnakpasa nko s pte at may visa eligibility nako from aphrA magreklamo talaga kami.. Hindi lang namin maharap ngayon kasi ndedelay tlga pagaapply ko sa australia.. Tsaka bastos ung manager dun ni hindi kami hinarap... Papatulfo namin yan at igather ko ung mga naloko nla...

Wala akong promo code eh pero reasonable na naman price nila. If ever, I would suggest getting the "Complete PTE Prep" package kasi $15 lang yung mock test (may discount na $5). Matagal lang scoring (2-3 days bago) pero okay din kasi sasabihin nila sa'yo yung points of improvement mo at kung anong dapat gawin mo to improve your score. Hirap kasi sa scored mock test mismo ng Pearson PTE eh di mo alam kung anong maling nagawa mo.

Sa pag-access naman, may software sila na pwede mong madownload tas dun ka magtake ng tests (pero kelangan connected ka pa rin sa internet). Pwede mo ding itake yung tests online pero di lang compatible ata sa pc ko yung website nila kaya mas okay sa kin yung sa software nila.

Naku! Medyo mahirap kung di talaga sya familiar sa words. Ang tip kasi sa Reading Multiple Choice is pipiliin mo yung word na gagamitin ng native English speaker.

IMHO I would suggest taking more than a week before his next test. Parang 1 week is not enough unless full time study talaga. He needs to read more and widen his vocabulary. Ok yung suggestion ni @dorbsdee to read Science Daily. It's easier kasi talaga if alam mo kung anong ibig sabihin ng words or at least context. He can also try to familiarize himself with collocations (words that go together)
