Hello po sa lahat. May tanong lang po sana ako about sa COE. Yung dating employer ko po sa Malaysia pumayag naman na po sya magbigay ng detailed na COE, yung concern ko lang kung okay lang po ba kung sa Pinas ko na sya pa-notarize? Kasi dito na po ako sa Pinas ngayon (at sa wakas natauhan na din ako na gusto ko ituloy mag-apply sa AU..hehehe!).

yes pwede. depende namn sa notary public kun iaccept nila na inotarise, jan sa pinas mejo madali lng namn maghanap ng notaryo. normally sa ibang countries like singapore, kelangan dala mo ung original before nila inotaryo.

Hello guys, question lang regarding sa COE. Sabi kasi sa bagong format, "the country location of work must be clear". Dun sa pinagawa qng COE dati, ang nakalagay lang ay "Issued this day at Makati". Walang nakalagay na "Philippines", makikita lang sa company address. Sapat na ba yan? or dapat talaga ay mababasa nila na "employed in the Philippines"? Please advise. Thank you in advance ☺

Ola! I was reading through this thread and ask ko sana nakuha ko na acs results ko pero gusto ko sana appeal/review kasi for my 9 years experience 4 lang nacredit. In your experience gaano katagal ung appeal/review and advisable ba to give it a go. I am hoping na makakuha ng atleast 5 years para 10 points.Thanks much!

Hello @zha_mauve what's your course and your school's section so we could assess why ACS deducted you 5yrs.

@zha_mauve DLSU-Taft? If yes, section 1 yun... and what I read from others, some ECE grad in a Sec. 1 school has been deducted only of 2 yrs. (that's the minimum deduction by ACS). Hopefully, others could share their inputs as well.

If I'm not mistaken @Heprex has the same case???

@SAP_Melaka yeah yun nga eh.... salamat ulit! Iniisip ko if push ko ba na appeal/review or baka sa COE details ako nadale. Basahin ko ung skills assessment docu from acs ulit to see if may laban ba ko but also want to know ano up side and down sides. If worth ba ung trouble for the additional 5 point.

@SAP_Melaka Yup, I think di nag kakalayo case namin.

@zha_mauve you should definitely file an Appeal of application. Not review of application, yung review kase is if you want to be assess on a different anzco code, or may details sa work reference mo na hindi nila madetermine. You have the 100% chance for a successful appeal, since section 1 school mo. Ipamuka mo sa kanila mismo yung guidelines nila sa reason to Appeal. hahaha

Bachelor degree must have:
• 33% ICT content for a 3 year course
• 25% ICT content for a 4 year course
• 20% ICT content for a 5 year course

Since ECE ka, sure yan na at least 20% ng units mo is related to ICT.

@zha_mauve 20% of your subjects in the TOR must be in line to the System Analyst core subjects. Machecheck mo yun sa ACS site: https://more.acs.org.au/__data/assets/pdf_file/0018/7641/ANZSCO-Descriptions-2015.pdf (nasa page 8 ang systems analyst).

Hardware focused ang ECE kasi tapos systems analyst is more inclined to software systems, so better check first if you really exceed 20% of the required subjects before you lodge your re-appeal.

Computer engineering ako so hybrid ng hardware and software, but software related yung code ko, therefore ang dineduct sa akin is 4 years. I think worst case scenario eh dapat 4 years lang din ang dineduct sayo instead of 5 para makapag claim ka ng 5 years work experience which will qualify you to claim 10 pts.

Mga Sirs na na-assess na ng ACS may tanong lang ako. Tumatawag ba talaga si ACS sa HR Office number or nag-eemail para i-verify yung pinasa natin na Employment Reference? paano kung sakaling pagka-submit ko eh nag-close or na-acquire yung dati kong company at iba na ang HR Head or iba na yung office number? Ini-email din ba nila yung HR for verification? may alam po ba kayo? please help!

There are cases na tinatawagan talaga nila lalo na kung local lang yung company or hindi well known. If ever man magsara na yung company nyo, tatawagan ka naman ng ACS (mapupunta ka sa stage 3) and they'll ask for additional details i.e. updated contact info.

Don't worry about it, if ever hindi nila ma-contact, bibigyan ka naman nila ng chance to give an explanation. They won't reject you outright.

Hi Everyone!

My tanong lng po ulet ako mga Sir, nagkaroon po kasi ako ng confussion sa pag pag move forward ng skill na papareview ko sa ACS which is (262111-Database Administrator). Ung skill ko po kasi na ito diba need pa po ng state sponsorship (based sa mga nabasa ko dito sa forum mostly is sa vitoria ung my sponsorship).

What if this July po, close na pala tong skill na to for state sponsorship, so mamasayang lng po ung asessement ko sa ACS right?

Ung other option ko po kasi is Software Engineer, kaso medyo kulang po ung experienced ko sa field na to. I think mga 3 years lng less lng papasok dito.

@Jun001 Currently closed ang state sponsorship sa victoria until March 2017 for ICT occupations.

Hindi naman masasayang, 2 years naman ang validity ng ACS assessment.

Hi Rich, pwede po ba magtanong regarding the employment reference? The certifications that my previous employers issued to me just provided the information such as the start and end dates of my employment and the position before I left their companies.

Will that suffice for ACS assessment?

Ganito rin ba ang certifications na prinovide ng mga companies nyo o kaparehas ng ACS format kaagad ang meron kayo?

If not, paano po ginawa nyo para ma-satisfy yun ACS requirements?

@Chad Generic CoE won't cut it. You need a detailed one specifying your roles and responsibilities.

You can:
1. Ask your manager to provide one for you.
2. Prepare your own COE and ask your manager to sign it.
3. If option 1 and 2 aren't possible, ask a higher ranking colleague to sign a statutory declaration.

Hello, I had my ACS assessment done last year (2015). Just wondering kun may new changes ba sa policy nila? Last year kasi 2 years ang deduction kapag closely related yun nominated occupation sa course mo. Same pa rin ba hanggang ngayon?
