U need to take a bridging course first then get a rn license with aphra. Also required 7 in all for ielts. If u do not havean aphra rn license.. No one will even entertain u. No need to be a p.r or citizen just need an active aphra rn license.

Rn jobs are hard to find though as tough competition from brits. In our unit about 80% of our nurses are british.. Kunti lng nga ozzie, asians just 7 of us.

but if u are referring to the new graduate program of most public hospitals as in meaning zero experience nurses. yes THAT is just for au educated nurses and it is only for 1 year paid experience hence only for p.r. and citizens para maka bayad sila ng student loans.

it not for zero experience foreign educated nurses who has r.n. licenses. kaya even before i do not advocate coming to au or any other foreign country without at least 3 years experience back home.

jobs are there but for those with experience kasi one will be competing with uk based nurses who are more experience and have the same health system. also with other nationalities.

try age care..puti dont like it there. most asians start with age care then apply elsewhere pag may experience na. i do not know how or why a foreign new grad thought it will be easy to find a job in au.

but again if foreign new grad ka.. not eligible for the new graduate program. 1 year paid experience lng yan and most do not get permanent jobs after the 1 yr. pang bayad lng yan ng student loan and for them to gain experience.

But I have to be with @li_i_ren with this one. Madami Pinoy nurses dito. Ang sasaya nga nila kasama. Pero ang hahaba na po ng level of experience nila.

    21 Dec 2012 - 457 lodged
    7 Jan 2013 - medical finalised

I applied my new grad program tinanggap nman nila ako when I was still a holder of a student visa, then naging invalid ung visa ko, nag offer sila ng sponsorship. mas mataas ung chances mo siguro na ma-offeran ng sponsorship try mo aged care, mas konti nag apply, or yet regional - rural areas, for sure meron yan. di mawawalan ng employment for nurses. pati sa mga agencies ang hirap makakuha ng RN !!

@gsont0t Hi, Mas madali na lang yan pagdating mo rito kasi very accessible naman lahat, makakatawag ka anytime sa AHPRA pag may tanong ka. Bring all your documents with you. Normal lang na kabahan ka kasi hindi mo alam kung ano daratnan mo rito but you'll be fine. Una mong gagawin is to have an English test then kung okay yung result mo for bridging, have an Assessment from Ahpra kung iaallow ka nila to do it kung hindi naman you can do conversion course. Mas madali na nga for you kasi wala kang iisiping visa unlike pag student ka na may duration lang yung stay mo rito. Kaya mo yan kabayan. :) Godbless.
