Applying for a FS 489 visa still requires you to score at least 60 points and work experience is a big factor. Besides, you need to get a positive skills assessment and most assessing bodies requires at least X years of work experience. More info at www.border.gov.au, If you dont qualify, try researching about 476 visa. This visa allow recent enginering graduates from eligible universities to gain up to 18 mos work experience in Australia. After that, you can apply for a permanent visa/ an employer might sponsor you to get a PR visa.

@MLBS try to check your assessing authority if they required work experience. Mostly, 1 year post qualification for highly relevant field of study. Just like me before, I only got 1 yr and 5 months work experience but my field of study is highly relevant to the nominated occupation, so I got a positive skills assessment. wala nga lang dagdag points to. So bawi ka sa age, ielts, education, state/territory/relative sponsorship.

Each assessing authority has their own guidelines for assessment so dun mo basahin kung pwede ba na wala kang experience or kung anong mga conditions nila.
As for me, vetassess kasi nag.assess sa akin. ^^

Hi everyone! I'm new here. I'm an Australian Citizen living in Victoria. I have these questions:
    1. Can I sponsor my brother to come here?
    2. What requirements should I fulfill as a sponsor?
    3. How can he be nominated for state sponsorship (by family)?

I have been looking for ways to get him here. Cook sya sa Baguio and has been working for 3 years now. What other options do we have aside from student visa? (Super pricey kasi..

@angeli5 yan din po nireresearch ko ngayon so I'll return the favor ng pagtulong saken ng members dito hahaha

    1. Pwede po kayo magsponsor as long as PR/Citizen kayo
Aside from that di ko pa po alam kung ano pa kailangan gawin
    3. Dapat po nasa CSOL yung nominated occupation ng brother nyo pag state sponsored. Pag family sponsored sa SOL

Naisip ko rin po magstudent visa e pero sobrang mahal pala :( baka po pwede naman sya sa mga 189/190 visa? since may experience na pala sya for 3 years e

@angeli5 if im not mistaken. Cook is listed in the state nominated occupation in victoria. Kung state sponsorship kailangan nya 5yrs work exp. If family sponsorship wala naman cguro condition for as long as meron sya positive skills assessment at pasado sa ielts. Just research what is the assessing authority for cook. I think u can find that in the CSOL. Basta lang aabot sya ng 60 points as requirement to migrate. Mababasa mo yan lahat sa migration site ng gov of australia. ^^

Thank you Strader and MLBS! At leaat mejo naintindihan ko na. Ipapa-assess ko nalang muna yung work niya with TRA. Hope this works sayang kasi IELTS niya, 7.0 pa man din overall score niya.

MLBS, after ng assessment niya with TRA baka we'll consider 189/190. At the moment feeling ko kasi safest pathway is 489. What do you think?

@angeli5 kung subclass 190 tapos victoria, kukulangin sya ng minimum experience kasi 5 yrs yata required work experience sa cook nakalagay dun sa vic state occupation list nila. or hanap sya ng ibang state na mababa lang work experience kailangan para maqualify for 190 sponsorship. pero pag 489 family sponsor ok na. Age, education, ielts, work experience, at sponsorship dapat magtotal yan ng at least 60 para pasok sa skilled migration scheme. at higit sa lahat pasado sa skills assessment sa TRA. matinik sa lahat ang assessment kasi pag wala kang positive outcome di pwede magpatuloy sa subclass 190 or 489. cook (351411) is not open for subclass 189 nasa CSOL lang sya. ^^

Hi Strader! Ganun ba. Sige 489 nalang ppursue namin. So far, sa age, ielts and sponsorship palang may 45points na sya. Hopefully positive ang skills assessment niya.
