@don_andres congrats pala sa visa grant! Enjoy kami sa IE kc pasyal2x pa kmi sa Sydney wla pa pressure to find a job. First thing na inasikaso namin e yung verification sa bank para makuha yung atm namin. Before kami nag punta nag open na kami ng migrant account sa Commonwealth Bank of Australia then nka transfer na rin kami ng money dun through i_Remit sa Manila. Tapos nag apply na kami ng Tax File Number online at pina deliver lng namin yung card sa address ng college classmate ng husband ko . After 1 week andun na kala kc namin mga 28 days pa bago makuha yun pala mabilis lng. We tried to apply for medicare kaso ang advise samin e sa big move na daw kc mag 1 year na yung visa grant namin though hindi ko masyado na gets bakit mas favorable pag balik na. Sabi lng samin e kung me medical expenses keep the receipt and reimburse later. Kayo kelan ang big move? Which state do you plan to stay?

Tip ko lang para mabilis matawagan, tanggalin nyo ang address ng work exp nyo sa pinas sa resume kasi yung iba finifilter agad pag alam na overseas experience. chaka nyo na lang sabihin pag sa interview na. ganon ginawa ko. today, may another 2 interviews ako

my wife got her full drivers license na agad kasi may license sya sa US. may work na din sya as pharmacy assistant (teacher sya sa atin). temporary lang pra di mabore habang waiting sya ng cert from ACECQA.

@ms.dee_celestiel Okay naman, we are doing well! It's our third month here and we our enjoying quality time with our toddler

Sabi nga ng wife ko eto na ang pinaka meaningful na vacation namin (while still looking for a job). Very exciting kasi sama sama kami sa lahat - house hunting, household chores, playtime, discovering places and experiencing the culture, etc. I'm sure sobrang mami-miss ko ang time na to pag nagstart na magwork.

Family and rent assistance yung 225 na nakukuha namin. Tapos may child care pa once magschool na anak namin.

By the way, may FB page called "pre-loved dubai" Dito kami nagpost ng mga items na binenta namin. Post ka lang, dami magcontact sayo

Batchmates, happy to share din na I received a job offer that I am inclined to accept

This is in line with my profession.. Ang start date ay April 26. First 3 days will be induction/ getting familiarized with the office and the people. Actual fieldwork will be first week of May.

@goaldrin13 kala ko nag transfer ka na. We are done with our IE then by Aug-Sept balak ng husband ko mauna to look for job na. To follow nlang kami ng anak ko pag me work na hopefully 1st quarter of 2018. Magkano rent mo per week? travel time to cbd? ilang minutes to train station?

@elleb1 nope, since nagmove ako sa Carlton na ako nakastay.
Patapos na ng winter ang Aug-Sept, pero malamig parin.
October 2016 ako nag big move dito sa Sydney, knowing na spring na yun, malamig parin.
Sa Sydney nyo din ba balak?
I am paying $220 per week including everything.
travel time to CBD, less than 30 mins lang.

@Cassey Hello! nkapag initial entry na kami tapos na sa opening ng bank account and TFN, now we are preparing for the big move na. Kelangan pa ng ipon para ready in case na wala pa work.

oo nga ano anniversary na pala natin next month. Nkakatuwa halos lahat e nka big move na and settled na rin with jobs sa Oz.
