Hi! Alam ko natanong na to dati pero eto, sa mga nag exam dto sa Sg ng PTE, na try nyo na ba while checking the audio ung nagsusulat na kyo ng template nyo for describe image and retell lecture? Di naman ba kayo nasita? Kasi parang gusto ko itong gawin eh sa next exam ko.

@eynah_gee nung nagtake ako ng test, hnd ako nagsulat ng template until nagstart ung speaking class. pagtingin ko kc s ceiling, ung cctv nakatapat sakn. hahha.
Ang ginawa ko, nagsulat ako ng templates after ko basahin ung read aloud article during the 40 sec practice time.

@Krisian most of the PTE exam takers nag-self review. Usually for IELTS ang ino-offer ng review centers.

@kuya.king tanong ko lang po so ibigsabhin bawal agad magsulat ng template while wala ka pa sa speaking part? lets say madami kapang time pero wala kapa sa speaking exam bawal po un? para lang sana mamaximize ung oras. thank you!

@lizzzie speaking po ang first part, so the only time na meron ka before the speaking part is ung testing ng mic and headphone. If magsusulat ka na agad sa noteboard while di ka pa officially nagsstart, baka mapansin nung staff tapos gumawa ng incident report.

whew!! nag back read ako from p323 until p460, sobrang dami kong tips na nakuha, template, etc.. haha, weird, yun pa lang inuna ko. di pa ako nagoopen ng mga videos or links na suggested nyo. gusto ko muna isummarize yung tips na nakuha ko dito, then at least i can make a strategy na pag nag start ako manuod mga videos. I have few questions though, hopefully someone would reply

What do you mean by false start?
Yung re-take ba, same amount sya ng exam P8,900?
Pwede na ba ako mag sign up sa PTE site pero di pa muna ako magbbook ng exam? Plan ko kasi 1 month intense review.

Yung re-take ba, same amount sya ng exam P8,900?
-kung AECC voucher, 8900 sya, kung di ka bibili sa kanila ng voucher, 205usd price nya sa site.
-kada exam is the same price.

L-82, R-87, S-87, W-86.

Sa mga ibang nakailang takes na, wag mwalan ng pag asa. Second take ko yang mga scores na yan. Practice lng ng practice and pray.

@lara_xxx make sure lang na may available slot. after a month. kasi minsan nag kaka ubusan. kay better pa book na early. familiarize mo din sarili mo sa parts ng exams.

Ito lang po yung mga unang pumasok sa isip ko sa tips na pwede kong ishare base on experience sa first attempt ko ng PTE-A , LRSW- 73,74,90,74.

Speaking
For read aloud, just read the paragraph in moderate pace, not too fast and not that slow, if you finished less than 40secs just click next.
For repeat sentence, just focus, so you could repeat exactly what the speaker says.

For describe image, use a template and fill it with the informations you see in the graph.
- The (pie chart/bar graph) is the graphical representation of a research entitled (Title of the graph). It is subdivided into ___ parts. The highest area was ______ and the lowest area was that of _______. Overall, the graph seems concise and accurate and can be used for further studies with the same topic.

For retell lecture, you can also use a template but I suggest you just listen to what the speaker says, take note of it, and make a brief and concise summary of what he says. It does NOT need to be a one sentence.

Answer short question
Just focus on what the question asks, usually they will just ask you of practical ones. If not, they are giving you two or three choices.

Listening
Multiple choice choose single answer
Highlight correct summary
Before you pick your answer, take note of the main points tackled in the lecture, so when you choose from the options, you will be able to eliminate those options that are obviously not what the speaker talks about. Some options are nearly close to the right answer, but it is not yet the answer. You have to be vigilant whether it is really the correct one.

Multiple choice choose multiple answers
Do not guess on this part. You do not want to lose points for wrong options. The pointing system is right minus wrong.
Know your synonyms and paraphrasing.

Reading
Fill in the blanks
Read and know collocations by heart, those words that usually come together. If a word is grammatically correct in fitting the sentence, that must be the right answer.

Arrange paragraphs
Pick the sentence that can stand alone. It is then followed by a sentence related to it. Usually, what comes next is followed by Hence, Moreover and the like. But its not always the case.
In order to be a hustler in arranging paragraphs, you need to have a tough practice.
You can practice online at lofoya jumbled paragraphs. It can be seen in google.

Multiple choice choose single answer/multiple answers
Check what the question asks.Before looking at the options, skim the text. After that, you can look for main points and that would help you finding the right answer.

Writing
Summarize written text
Take note of the main ideas in the text. After that, you make a brief concise summary putting the main points in a detailed sentence, you dont have to make a 70 word maximum. In my case, I reached like 50 plus words.

Write an essay
Follow what the task description asks for.Make an argument if it demands for it. You have to have an introduction, body, and conclusion. You can make 4 paragraphs that need not to be more than 300 words.

-I hope this helps everyone. Those are just for some parts of the exam that I remember. Practice everyday, allot time for your practice if you know you are weak at something. You can purchase Pearson scored mock tests gold kit, that helped me a lot, my scores in the actual exam are mostly close to what I got in the scored mock tests.
I also practiced in Pearson Test of English- Academic books that I borrowed from the library here in Sydney. If you have resources to buy, you should and its recommended.

I hope I am credible enough at makatulong sa inyo to. Ask God to help you overcome PTE, yung PTE di sya mahirap pero hindi din naman madali, walang overnight success, pero sa determinasyon at perseverance possible makuha mo un target score mo.
