question pla since may invitation na to apply for visa na kmi ibig sabihin nun kahit magclose ung state sa field ni hubby ibig sabihin nun d kmi affected and pwede pa dn kmi apply ng visa. nakita ko kasi closed na sila ngaun sa field nya..

@maiSG03 yep, since you have received an invitation to apply, your application will not be affected by new changes to skills list or SA state skills list. That is why SA made an effort to process all SA state application til june 29 to protect those for changes.

tanong ko lang po kasi nakalagay na sa site ng SA na may specific na points ka dapat to apply pero possible na ibaba nila yng points.. pwede kaya magpasa na ko ng application sa kanila then hintayin na lng if ever na bumaba yung required points or huwag na lang muna at hintayin yng official announcement nila?

@Hunter_08 what do you mean? which occupation? SA posted their new skills list for SS today. Check it out. They have specific point requirements on some occupations like IT.

If you nominated occupation is in the supplementary skills list then you need to meet additional requirements. In general, 60 points is the minimum to migrate.

I am an accountant. It is in Supplementary Skilled List in SA. How does the High Points work. Currently my EOI is 65 without State nomination pts yet. Can I apply for visa 190? Or are the jobs listed in Supplementary Skilled List only available from visa 489? If apply how much total points will I get. Medyo nalilito kasi ako dun sa additional 10 pts? Is it on top of 65+5pts for state nomination?

Will I get 80 pts if I apply?

@Lexi if 65pts ka at the moment. Kung 190 plus 5pts lang yon kung 489 plus 10pts lang din yon. I think you need 80pts sa high points na category nila. @kisses1417 tama ba sis? Dba under high points ka sa SA?

@Lexi for high points you need to get at least 80 including state sponsorship. see calculation below:

190 = 65+5= 70
489 = 65 +10 = 75

Hi @Lexi , hi @Strader thanks for looping me in. Yes i applied under high points category in SA for their Supplementary conditions apply. My score is 70 points without state sponsorship thus i meed 10 points to qualify for their high points category. As much as i want to apply for 190, i cannot, because it will give u just additional 5 points. Whereas if i applied for 489, it will give me additional 10 points. 70+10=80. You need to decide because sometimes their high points category increses from 80 to 85, just keep an eye on the changes

Goodluck and make sure your EOI states that you want SA only and tick 489

@kisses1417 hello po. Ano difference ng 489 sa 190? Ok ba mag 489? I only have 60 pts with ICT BA occupation. So far 189 and 190 nsw pa lang nasubmit kong eoi. Im still thinking if i try SA din.

Better ang 189 and 190 kase PR yun. 489 is if you need additional 10 points, and you ONLY have to stay in a regional area in australia for 2 years and has to have 1 year of full time work for you to apply for PR. 489 is a Provisional visa. Temporary po. 4 year visa which will give you unlimited work rights

@Au_Vic sa State Nomination Occupation naka list po yung akin. Software Engineer. nabasa ko kasi na 70 point yung need na point to be nominated pero sabi din possible na ibaba nila yung points to 65 then 60.

After 1 year. Of full time work and living in regional area for two year, you can apply for visa 887. Its a PR visa

@Hunter_08 wala na bang way for you to get extra 5 points like english test? If you submit your SA SS they will reject it most likely coz 70 is the minimum. what about 489? will you get 70?

@siena101 if you dont have any preference about state/location and you want to move to oz quicker, check out SA. They process SS fast. I assume since your occupation is ICT perhaps the minimum is 70 for SA SS.

@batman yep 80 points. towards the end of financial year ginagwa nilang 85. Marami kc silang occupations compared sa ibang states na willing sponsoran.

@Au_Vic ok thanks will consider ur advice. Magresearch din muna ko ng maigi ng visa 887 kc baka namn di na pla ko makapasa sa points later bec of age. Will be 41 na kc in 2 yrs time hehe.

@Au_Vic what you mean marami sila occupation. so need nila ng tao, bakit dapat mataas. kunti lang makaka apply sa kanila nun kasi kunti lang may matataas ng points.

@batman SA has two list of occupations for SS (state nominated occupations and supplementary skills list).

Most occupations in STSOL (old CSOL) is available on SA supplementary skills list. Unlike ng ibang states na yung skills list nila for SS ay from MLTSL (which is the old SOL).

I guess SA would like to give chance/attract migrants especially ung may occupation na wala sa STSOL. To access yung supplementary skills list ng SA you have to meet any of the 4 conditions:

a. family ties in SA
b. graduate in any SA university
c. high points
d. job offer in SA
