@Elaine Hi, yes you have to have a valid test result because aside from AHPRA and ANMAC, you'll be using it in the PR Application as well.

@Cassey thanks po! di po ako makakauwi eh to process it personally. So, representative na lang po. Anyways, do you know how long will it take for PRC to send it to AHPRA?

Hi ms @Cassey , i have another question. I have a total of 5 years experience but 11 months of that is sa saudi. Now, sa anmac i am applying under the surgical pero sa saudi exp ko is more of obgyne.

I am now planning not to include my saudi experience kasi nahirapan din ako kumuha ng professional reference and someone na mg aasikaso ng verification Ko. Would that be a problem kasi dineclare ko sa ahpra ung experience na un pero di ko isasali sa anmac?

As what i have understood, sa anmac, it's more of them assessing your qualifications and ikaw na bahala kng pati ung work experience
Ipa-assess mo for additional 5 points sa dibp?

@butterflyAngel Hi, I'm actually not sure what to say as I don't know anyone who's in the same situation as you are. You can try to not declare it and if anything, i think ANMAC will prompt you just in case you're missing any documents.
If you decide not to declare it, it means that you have to do the same thing with your PR application as well as on your Form 80 for PR just to have a consistency with your application.

@Cassey thanks for replying. Di ko nalang idedeclare, anyway di naman sya ung most recent experience ko. Aabot naman ng 3 years ung experience ko kahit di ko idedeclare ung sa saudi ko.

    Thanks again!

@butterflyAngel As long as yung 3yrs experience mo ay under one specialty or code then walang magiging problema. Anyway, all the best and kindly let us know in the forum what will transpire para guide to future applicants. Thanks. :)

Pero plan dn pp nmn pakasal this year before magapply. Sa tingin nyo po ba kung kinasal kme at after a month nag apply kami may pagasa po kaya?

@NurseJae Kung kasal na kayo prior to your application, i can't see any reason para madeny siya. Make sure to submit additional evidences aside from your NSO Marriage Cert. and that the documents that you are submitting are complete and proper.

hi @Cassey i am a registered nurse here in PH who is interested to apply for registration dyan sa Australia especially Melbourne, VIC area. Actually kakagraduate ko lang and pass the licensure exam last year and kakastart ko lang magwork as RN since May 2017 so i currently have almost 3 months of hospital experience sa ICU setting. Plan ko is magapply ako ng conversion course for maybe 1 or 2 years and target ko is magstart nako sa program ng 2018. I guess i wont have any problem regarding application for conversion program or BP depending sa mas convenient sakin and fit sa skillset and experience ko, pero feel ko magkakaproblem ako regarding getting a work, PR/sponsorship visa after finishing the program and getting a registration as Division 1 Nurse because of the length of my experience here in the Philippines. Is it difficult to get sponsorship after getting an australian nursing registration based sa 3 months work exp ko? also i have heard about the post-study work visa kaso ang qualification is minimum of 2 years dapat yung program so mas matagal ako magaaral if mag-opt ako ng ganyang option. i hope you could provide an insight regarding my case and what would you do if ikaw yung nasa case ko. hoping for your reply thank you so much!

@supercarlo360 Just like what I've been telling the other applicants, I would rather do a bridging course because it will lead to PR in the soonest possible time. Immigration rules are not permanent and they change from time to time. Not only that, ANMAC and AHPRA policies may change as well. As a matter of fact, they will soon be introducing 2exams for the registration of internationally qualified nurses here in Australia. Even if you don't have 3yrs of experience, you will still be able to apply for PR, provided that you meet 60 points for migration. If you are lacking points then you can consider doing a 2yr conversion course which is pricy or you can do 1yr Conversion and extend your visa by getting a much cheaper course. It will all depend on your personal circumstances and your finances as well. As with the sponsorship, they usually require applicants to have a minimum of 3yrs experience.

@Cassey - Dear Cassey, we have the same case as one of @jouneytoaus, i'm software engr (primary applicant) and my wife (dependent) is a registered nurse in phils (opthalmic nurse).
However, she stopped working almost 4 years na to take care of our baby.
If by Gods will magkagrant na kami, ano po ang chances ni wifey to be RN in Ozzie? at ano po mga proseso na pagdadaanan niya?
Maraming salamat po sa answer in advance!

@KIKO Hi if her experience is within 5yrs prior to application to AHPRA, she can still do a bridging course. It's a 3mos course (at the moment). She just needs to bring her documents here in Au and post it to AHPRA. AHPRA will send a letter of eligibility if she is qualified to do it. Once she finishes the course, she can then apply for registration here in Au. The list of requirements are in the first page of this thread. All the best on your PR Application. :)

@lizzie86 Hi, I'm not sure who are affected at this moment, ang sabi lang is "internationally qualified nurses". I think whether you study conversion or bridging you are still considered as such.

@lizzzie Hi, wala namang effect yung gap. As long as yung experience mo is within 5yrs prior to your application then it should be okay. Just an unsolicited advice, before you resign make sure na magtutuloy-tuloy yung application mo tsaka check mo rin kung meron pang intake for this year para naman di sayang yung time mo as well as yung salary mo na papasok pa. :) All the best.

@maddie02 Hi, sorry I'm not familiar with that route to PR. I called AHPRA but they said to just read on their website to assess your qualification. What i can suggest is just do the usual guaranteed route which is either through bridging and conversion course. Bridging is a 3month course which is actually shorter than the Grad Cert route. It's always best to go through a route that's been done by the majority if not all at least you're 100% sure that it does have a pathway to becoming an RN here and at the same time will enable you to apply for PR.
