@CroweAltius CO contact varies... merong cases after more than a week lang, meron naman matagal ang allocation. If you're aiming for DG, much better na frontload nyo na lahat ng docs and medicals.

in our case kahit naka lodge na kmi magpapamedical na lng kami and not wait for the CO contact? pano malalaman if what tests ung need namin kunin?

Ano po b dapat ilagay s form 80 - address history? Kasi nakalagay sa note in chronological order pero ung sa table mismo s first row nakalagay na Current.. ang gulo lang hehe

Yung tests consist of urinalysis, blood checking, physical exam, chest xray. You can check here - http://nhsiphilippines.com/, for more details. Make sure to bring your referral letter, passport and filled out forms from the website.

May tanong lang sana regarding sa EOI entry ko.. Initial entry ko po sa EOI is mga relevant experience ang nilagay ko pero may nabasa ako na dapat yong mga non relevant or not related is dapat din mailagay sa EOI. I've edited and added the non relevant experience and nangyari is yong not relevant experience na dapat sa first entry is nasa bottom. So, hindi naka sequence.. Ok lang ba ito? hindi naman nakaka apekto sa visa application? maraming salamat sa sasagot.

Hi guys!

I would like to please seek for any advice regarding my case.

Just a background, I have lodged my Expression of Interest (EOI) in Skill Select last 05 May 2017.
This is for my Skilled - Independent (subclass 189) (Permanent Resident) application to Australia.
I was able to meet the points test pass mark at 65 total points (60 points is the baseline score).

Age: 30 points
English Language Ability: 10 points
Education: 15 Points
Work Experience: 10 points
Total: 65 points

Unfortunately, I don’t think this is enough for me to be invited to apply for a visa given the highly competitive domain for my field (Professional Engineers).
Actually, Australia’s Department of Immigration and Border Protection already tagged my occupation for pro-rata arrangements due to increasing levels of demand.

Please see my scores both in IELTS and PTE that only qualified me for Proficient English (10 points).

Test: IELTS General Training (Thru British Council)
Date: November 3, 2016
Listening: 8.0
Reading: 8.5
Writing: 7.0
Speaking: 9.0

Test: PTE Academic
Date: September 11, 2017
Listening: 75
Reading: 87
Writing: 83
Speaking: 90

Given the tough competition, I believe the only way for me to secure the invite to apply for visa is to increase my over-all points.
As all other parameters in the eligibility points are more or less fixed in my case for the time period (e.g. age, education, work experience, etc.), I can only enhance my score by improving my level of English proficiency from Proficient to Superior and gain 20 maximum points.

When I realized that the scores being invited to apply for a visa are already ranging from 70 to 75 points, I took the PTE Academic exam to boost my over-all score as I just read in an online forum that it is supposedly easier to get higher scores in PTE against IELTS.

As you can see from my detailed scores above, I almost reached the superior mark except for a single module in both tests (for IELTS at 7.0 for Writing and for PTE at 75 for Listening).
Given the demands of my work, I had almost none to barely minimum preparation and review for both tests.
I remember that I wasn’t able to finish my writing test for IELTS due to miscalculations in time management.
As for PTE, I’m actually more comfortable with traditional pen and paper-based exam vs computer-based exam.
I was actually bit distracted with the arrangement and set-up of PTE exam.

With all the aforementioned details,
1) Would you recommend that I consider taking IELTS or PTE for my next attempt to get superior score?
2) Will there be a significant difference if I take my IELTS exam under IDP vs British Council? What do you recommend?

I will appreciate it if you can give me any other advice so as to secure my invitation to apply for permanent resident visa to Australia.

hi @engineerSC189 if mas comfortable ka sa pen and paper type exam, then ielts it is. hindi din ako naging comfortable sa pte exam kasi distracted ako sa mga kasabayang nagsasalita hehe. sa writing may format na kelangan mo kabisaduhin for the letters (formal/semi/informal) and essays para mas maging efficient since maikli lang ang time alloted. do you have a reviewer? key is practice, give time kahit 20mins a day.
i took my ielts at british council here in singapore. so far it's a good experience kasi ang accommodating ng facilitator sa speaking. though sa listening exams, on speaker lang sa bc, not sure sa idp. good luck!

Hello, question lang about NBI clearance. Nag set na kame ng appointment ni wifey, pero pag check namin, yung Application Type nya is "New", yung akin naman "Renew". Even though hindi ito ang first time namin both mag set ng appointment or kumuha ng NBI clearance. May impact ba yun? salamat!

Hello po. Nahingi po kami ng de facto partner ko sa BDO ng bank certificate nung joint account namin as evidence po sa relationship namin. Ano po purpose ipapalagay namin? "to be sent to Australian Embassy"? Pede na po ba yun? And, hinihingi po nila address ng australian embassy. Ano po ipo-provide namin? yung sa AU o dito sa Phil? Thanks much po!

Hi, ask ko lang po kung may naka experience na sa inyo na nag apply for student visa na iba binigay na work experience to prove gte like business course then magprovide ng work evidence na related sa business and then nag apply Ng PR 189 visa which is iba yung work experience nya which is yun ang totoo, does dibp check old documents na pinass sa kanila?

Hi koolaid. Ang pinaka maganda mong dapat sigurong gawin is identify what is it you want to do. When you say "application" kasi, ang broad nun e. And to identify the step by step process, mejo mahaba din yun. I suggest you start by visiting www.border.gov.au. Anjan lahat ng step by step process that you were looking for.
